I'M MALE AND PROUD OF IT! Name: Dragos Name Meaning: Romanian; Precious [Only male? Heck yeah he'd be precious.] Personality: He's a pretty big softie towards females, but firm and tough when he needs to be. Days upon days of being prettied up by his sisters has taught him tolerence, so he's pretty patient to boot.
He's been taught and brought up well by his mother and father, though he looks up to his father the most. Big, strong, and good. Everything he will aim to be. As such...he has a mild anxiety that because he will be strong, he could accidently hurt females - his sisters, especially within his younger days - and so he has mild panic attacks if one of his sisters bursts out crying after or while they've been playing. In these cases, he feels like he's betrayed part of his family's beliefs, and he'll do practically anything to make it up to them. ...of course, this leads to a lot of things he might rather not sit through...but anything to put a smile back on his sister's faces, right? Right.
As his they grow older, Dragos' anxiety issues will become worse, and might eventually make him seek solitude over company. He'll need those around him to pull him back onto his paws, so to speak. He'll overcome it for the most part, though it'll be a bit of a long process for him, and he'll always be mildly nervous when it comes to the possibility of hurting a female, or even anyone else, unintentionally. What sort of ideas do you have for the cub: I'm undecided as to whether or not he'll stick in the Pridelands as an adult, but I'm not ruling that out, either. I hope to have him see, do, and experience things while keeping his family close to his heart. This will take him away from teh Pride, but he will come back...and then... Well, then I'll decide whether he should move on, and form new relationships, or stick with the relationships in the Pride he already has. What interested you in this contest?: The chance for solid RP, with a family that, while maybe not mated, will stick together despite the travel between Prides; at least until the litter is old enough. The chance, as well, to have another SoA from a cub stage, to develope as he grows, with more family/Pride RP. Prompt #: #2; Girls, girls, girls~! Prompt Response:
It was hard being the only boy in the family. Dragos panted in the shade, his sisters slumped nearby but not nestled close. They were all trying to cool off after a few hours of romping play...and thankfully this time, he hadn't hurt any of them. Eyes half-closed, the teal orbs flicked protectively towards his sisters he could see. With an effort, the cub raised his head to survey his others that were behind him and out of sight, before flopping with a sigh.
He was always careful about how rough he was, but sometimes he couldn't help it. Other times, his sisters loved to 'yank his tail' and pretend to cry. That, of course, wasn't fair in his eyes. Did they realize how anxious and hurt it made him to think he'd hurt them?
But then, it was kinda nice, too. Even if he had to share the attention dad gave them with his sisters...he also had one-on-one time with him, too. So he could learn how to be a better lion. Dragos let a soft breath loose. So it was good to be the only boy in the family too, right?
Yeah.
The cub smiled and yawned, ears twitching.
It was pretty good to be the only boy, after all.
...even when his sisters attempted braiding his hair and put flowers in it.

I'M MALE AND PROUD OF IT! Name: Boriba’ihlo Name Meaning: Moss-eyed Personality: Growing up around a multitude of females has run its course on this little boy. Feeling as if you need to represent the entirety of the male population is a really big responsibility to Boriba’ihlo and he does his best to make any male proud of him. He protects his sisters, drives away the unwanted male presences from them and his mother and takes the initiative to patrol their den when his mother is out.
Secretly he is a sensitive soul, and picks up on his sisters’ feelings and moods quickly. He tries his best to comfort them, but in trying to keep up the macho-male persona, he feels limited to how he can show them comfort. Usually, he gives them a pat on the back and tells them to buck up, because men don’t cry so neither should they.
If you even suggest that he is feminine, watch your back. Boriba isn’t one to have that implication pinned to him without a fight, and boy will he scrap about it. Often needing broken apart by others before major harm comes to him or the one who accused him of being a girl. This will earn him many scars and a scuffer’s reputation. What sort of ideas do you have for the cub: …Eventually I want to find him a mate who ends up being far manlier than him (except, you know, a girl) to help make him realize that even though he is a boy, he doesn’t have to act like this macho-testosterone fueled, overprotective fight machine. That girls can take care of themselves too. What interested you in this contest?: :B ilu Poi. *offers Caj untold riches* Prompt #: 2 Prompt Response:
Boriba’ihlo spent another day overseeing the play of his many sisters. He was so bored, so very, very bored. He knew better, though. He knew if he didn’t watch over his sister’s like a hawk over a carcass one of them would fall and scrape a paw, or find themselves in a situation hat required adult assistance. Boriba didn’t want this. He was the man of the house, and as the man of the house he had to be able to care of his family.
He couldn’t help but feel annoyed every once and awhile with it. He spent so much of his time watching over his sisters that he didn’t have much time to make friends, and the friends he did make didn’t want to hang around with him surveying his sisters like his self-imposed responsibilities dictated. They wanted to go roll around in the dirt and mud, or play hunting games. Practice their hunting on rocks or bugs, maybe even some tiny mice if they could find them, and Boriba wanted to as well, but this was much more important. This was his family.
“Sisters! Be careful! You’ll try and hurt yourselves,” Boriba said, trying to make his high, squeaky male voice seem as manly and commanding as he possibly could.
Curse you body, he muttered to himself. If you would just grow faster than it wouldn’t be so hard to protect the family.
It didn’t take long for their mother to return from the errand she had been on. This was a relief to Boriba, because now that she was back he could put down his guard, if only for awhile. As his sisters swarmed his mother for play and to ask questions about where she had been and what she had been doing, Boriba sneaked off a small ways into a dusty, dirt filled clearing.
Looking around for other signs of life, a small smile spread across Boriba’s face as he plunged himself into the nice dirt pile he had managed to find. He rubbed his back into it quickly; taking in the relaxing sensation the dusty dirt gave him as it went into his fur. Later on his mother would be forced to clean him, another favorite past-time of his. He was happy when he got a break from watching over his sisters, even if it wasn’t ‘assigned’ upon him.
One day him and his sisters would be big kids, and he wouldn’t need to watch over them anymore when they got their own mates. Their mates would watch over them and their children at that point in time. Till than it was his responsibility and he would do so. Sneezing abruptly from the dirt trickling into his nose he rolled over onto his stomach. Now to dirt up the other side.
