Taking in a deep breath, the cat readied her vocal cords for what she was about to shout out.
"OH GOD, WHERE DID SHE GO?!!!"
The tentacle swung to the side slightly, narrowly missing Leto's face. Then, like a fishing line, it pulled itself up against the building. It wouldn't do for the prey to disappear! Curiously, the youma seemed to peer over the edge of the building. Aside from the one bizarrely long "tentacle" which was actually a black and white striped tail, the Youma just looked like a possum that had been swimming in nuclear waste. It had only a few teeth, but the teeth remaining were sharp. The youma wrapped its tail along a pipe, then rather delicately began to scale down the building to investigate further. It saw a cat. Not a very impressive thing to find in an alleyway. Oblivious to the dangers of the guardian cat, it continued to scale down the wall.
Youma in sight
Standing up to her paws, the cat began to pad towards a spot underneath the curious monster as it began to descend the wall. There was a strange sparkle to the cat's star on her forehead.
In a whisper, the cat said one thing. "Don't blink, and don't move... I've got this in the bag!"

Leto stared wide-eyed as the giant possum-like creature began scaling down the wall awfully close to her. “Jesus ******** Christ” is just about the only thing that ran through her mind at this point, you know, besides “What the hell have I gotten myself into?”
The only way to acknowledge ********* command was to stay perfectly still, so that is exactly what she did. Wait a second… “Am I invisible?” she thought to herself. Holy s**t, this was incredible. That dumb monster hadn’t a clue that she was standing right there, and Leto was trying her absolute best not to laugh at the situation.
All she could do at this point was stand there unmoving, and watch ********* do her thing.

For a moment, the Youma hissed at the cat, baring its few teeth. Harmless kitty or not, the animal was getting too close for comfort. Its fur stood on end in patches.
********* smiled.
"Surprise!"
The star upon her forehead almost seemed to glow of a white color now.
"Time for you to try a bit of ********* Special Surprise!"
If Leto didn't blink, she would then see what seemed like a lazer shot out towards the youma. It honestly wasn't a lazer, but at times it almost seemed like it. No, it was merely an energy blast. It hit the strange mutated creature straight in the face and caused it to lose its grip to the wall. The main problem with its tail being so long was the fact it was too long to help it in any form. The creature fell and with a sickening SPLAT it was forever done existing. It only took a minute for it to turn into a strange sort of dust.

Leto stared in silence as the youma that probably could’ve kicked her a** just got vaporized by a cat. She watched the creature fall from the wall above her onto the ground in front of her with a loud, disgusting noise. And then... It was turned into dust. What the hell?
Leto swallowed and hoped to hell that the youma’s dusty disappearance meant that she was free to move. She instantly shoved herself off of the wall, becoming visible to the naked eye once again. “That... Was badass.” She grinned at the cat. She kicked the dust out of the way and sat down on the ground cross-legged, resting her chin in her hands. She stared at ********* intently, eyebrows furrowed for a moment.
“So... Who the hell are you? Or better yet, what are you? And what am I for that matter?”

The feline sat there just like any other cat. If she had a tail, it probably would have been sweeping across from side to side. Her eyes were fixed upon the senshi who had just made herself perfectly visible again.
"My name is *********." Her chest seemed to puff up slightly.
"And I am a cat." That was stating the obvious, but she didn't seem to have any extra information to reveal about the what she was.
"And you, Sailor Leto, are a Sailor Senshi." That was not exactly much of an answer.

"********* the cat..." she murmured quietly and reached out a hand to rub the cat behind her ear. Kat wasn't entirely sure if talking cats enjoying the same thing as regular ol' housecats, but whatever.
"Well, nice to meet you, *********. And thanks for saving my a**."
Kat wasn't really sure where to go from here or what to do.
"A Sailor Senshi?" She looked down at her outfit and back at *********. "Okay... And I'm suddenly some magical sailor senshi becauseeeee....?" she paused for a moment, intending to let the cat talk. "Wait. Was I invisible? Did that disgusting giant thing seriously not see me standing here?"

Being more cat than the girl could probably even realize, ********* learned into the hand that touched her head, seeming to affectionately guide her fingers into making the best ear scratches. It seemed like she was a typical house cat, especially with the way she began to purr.
Yet, that voice of hers chimed in again, bringing the brunette back to the strange reality where cats with star shapes on their forehead could talk. "You were destined to be a Sailor Senshi. There was no suddenly in all of this." It was said so casually and so pleasantly that it might have even masked the underlying fact that there had been no choice in the matter. The feline rolled her face against the hand and eventually attempted to sneak her chin over the sneaking petting fingers.
"Well, you weren't visible to the Youma. However, you are the Senshi of Camouflage. Not Invisibility. You blended into your surroundings." There was a pause in her voice before she added "There is a difference." She nodded her head.

The word destined ran through Leto’s mind over and over. She still didn’t quite understand the entire concept, but she’d get it one day, she decided. Her fingers idly scratched under ********* chin as she processed this new information.
“Senshi of Camouflage... Alright. Sounds good to me, I think.” She nodded and abruptly scrambled to her feet. “So um... How do I like... Change back?” She chewed her lower lip some as she looked down at her outfit, hands placed on her hips.
“As cool as the whole funky camo sailor outfit and combat boots thing is, I clearly can’t go to class like this.” She was grinning from ear to ear. Clearly Leto didn’t have a clue how serious being a Senshi really was.

"That..." The cat paused long enough to walk back slightly away from those lovely petting fingers. "...is a very good question. It actually is not all that difficult. Just think about yourself the way you were before. You will change back if you think about changing back." It was so simple, but many times senshi just needed to hear it to be able to pull it off.
"Go ahead."

Just think about it. The idea seemed simple enough. Leto closed her eyes, her eyebrows furrowing as she was deep in thought. “Change back, change back, change back...” she was murmuring quietly under her breath. She slowly peaked her right eye open and looked down at herself, expecting to be back in her normal clothing. She pouted and closed her eye again. Concentrate, she told herself in her head. Think about the way I was before. She let out a long sigh, as if she was holding her breath, and allowed herself to relax. Her hands dropped from her hips to her side and her forehead smoothed itself as she stopped trying so hard.
And then she changed. She could feel it when it happened and her eyes snapped open the second it was over. She looked at her hands and the fingerless gloves were gone. Her fuku was replaced by her jeans and hoodie. “Huh! Lookit that. Back to normal!” she grinned from ear to ear and pocketed both her henshin pen and senshi cell phone. Suddenly it hit her- she had been so busy running through alleys and fighting (or hiding from?) giant monsters and having a conversation with a talking cat that she completely forgot what she was even doing out in the city. She scratched the side of her head and looked down at *********. “You know... I came out here tonight to do something and I ain’t got a clue what the hell it was.” She burst into laughter and shook her head.
“Hey, I figure you got somewhere to go at night, right? You don’t just hang out in dark alleys waiting for more people like me to show up? I’d feel kinda bad leaving you out here in the cold when I head home.”

Whiskers twitched in the girl's direction. "You don't need to worry about me. I know a thing or two."
Talking was apparently one of those things.

Kat nodded quickly. "Alright then........." there was a long pause. She then stepped forward and knelt down to the ground again to scratch ********* behind the ear. "Thanks for whatever the hell you did for me tonight. She half-smiled, a goofy look on her face. "I guess I'll get the hang of this Senshi thing sooner or later. Maybe I'll follow someone around and make them teach me!" her half-smile turned into a full-blown grin and she stood back up to her feet.
"G'night ********* the talking cat! Maybe I'll run in to you next time I get lost in the city!" She waved quickly and took off through the alley in the direction she came and made her way back home. She'd remember some other time what she came out here for- in the mean time, she had a lot to think about.
