This female never did shut up did she? Maybe if he could get her away for a long period of time Vaughn could hop off and maybe not hurt her feelings? Oh who was he kidding! He was supposed to be mean he shouldn’t be caring about her feelings she should be caring for his needs! Shrugging as if he could careless and just wanted peace, which was half right, Vaughn looked away mumbling, “Whatever just bring me food…”
Laying his head down Vaughn closed his eyes; he couldn’t be able to sleep with the tempting thought of food on its way and with the added effect of having a frightening female around him. So maybe this time could be used on taking note of what this female does and says… She sure does say a lot, maybe she’ll hint something that will hurt her feelings and make her leave.
And though Vaughn’s deepest need right now was to hurt this female he could still hear in the back of his head, ‘Don’t hurt the ones who are willing to help a strange wolf.’
It was his father’s voice of course.

"Right! I'll get you some fish!"
Oh, sun above, please let me do this right for once~
She gave him a quick nod and plodded towards the creek that ran just a stone toss away. The water wasn't too quick, which was good. It was clear, which was even better. Her yellow splattered body loomed over the surface, watching the shadows of fish dart beneath. After all the practice over the seasons, she had to be able to grab one measly fish, right? So that way she could help this stranger, this Victory Vaughn, back on his paws? She didn't like seeing any beast so unhappy and was swift and merciful even with her prey.
She steadied herself, eyeing a particularly plump looking shadow and prepared to snatch it. With a swift jerk of her body and flick of her paw, she splashed the water... Only to lose her balance and fall in head first. She scrambled furiously, snapping her maw in an attempt to grab it, but only snagged a maw full of silt, instead. Spluttering and letting the water carry away the soil, she surfaced and floundered to the banks of the creek, soaking wet and chilled to the bone.

Though Vaughn kept his head directed away he couldn’t help but be pulled in the direction of how fun this new wolf seemed to be having. Turning his head slowly Vaughn took notice of how horrible this wolf was of trying to catch a simple fish, she was really trying… Very hard and yet it just wasn’t meant to be for her and this fishing skill she seem to assume that she possessed. Vaughn could remember when he thought he had a skill and then seem not to possess it maybe that was normal… Maybe Vaughn wasn’t meant to be evil.
But then again what if she was doing this on purpose to make him feel better? It’s all lies; everything around him would always lead to lies why can’t he just have one… Good thing for once. Growling Vaughn looked disgustedly at the female, things would never be the same his fear for female would still be there his need for a happy ending would never come and he would be alone…
So why not take down others with him? “You won’t be able to survive with skills as poor as those.”

She shook out her fur, sending a spray of water in every direction. It was evident from her flattened ears and low tail that she was embarrassed. She failed at something as simple as that, something most of her family could have done with ease. She was an adult and she couldn't do anything that simple. It was shameful to her name and to her parents, in her mind. Sure, she could hunt ground prey as well as any wolf, but she wanted to be able to fish so badly.
Her pale blue eyes snapped up towards Victory Vaughn. She had hoped her horrible blunder was at least amusing to her. That would have been easier for her to handle. The coldness of his gaze and his harsh words struck her to her core and a frown slid across her usually grinning maw.
"I was trying to help you. Being all dour and bitter like that isn't very becoming of you. It'll also make it harder for you to survive." She forced the words out, but she didn't sound angry... She sounded more hurt than anything.

Frowning Vaughn’s automatic response was to say sorry was to beg for forgiveness that he didn’t mean it that she would do fine that he could protect her… But he could still remember what happen after his ‘begging’ and ‘protecting’ what did he get in return? Only heart ache and pain, only a kick in the face and a ‘leave me alone’. This was the world now, he couldn’t fall victim to another obviously trap.
“Being all pure and happy isn’t going to help anyone in life, you’re going to wake up one morning and realize that you have to be as hard as the world is around you. And better it be today with my bitter ness then tomorrow with your death by failed fishing.”

"Just 'cos the world is cruel, doesn't mean you have to be. I can hunt just fine on land." She couldn't think of anything else to say, really. His words stung, especially because she was only trying to help him when he seemed so miserable and alone. Maybe he was alone for a reason, and that made her feel all the worse for him, but his words stung hard, worse than that damned bee a few moons ago, and on a completely different level.
She...
Didn't really know just what to do.
Bristling, she shook her damp head. She didn't growl or threaten, but merely turned her back on him and plodded away, seeking a dark, secluded place where she could rest and dry herself. It was high time for a rest, anyways. At least once she put some distance between herself and the nay-sayer.
