"I...had trouble learning to walk like this. In my forma de natural , my natural form, I had a tail and I used it for balance. I. . .have to waddle when walking now. At least I still have my quills."
Even though they often didn't help her, of course. Chuppi still like the fact that some of her natural form remained though she didn't understand why she had this "hair" stuff now and why clothing was required. She understood that modesty was involved and that since her body had changed she naturally needed to keep certain parts of herself covered and out of sight.
"You are lucky to not have to worry. You can stay the same all the time."

Malodore nodded sympathetically. "Indeed so. It is hardly your fault that your natural form is ill-suited to humanoid tasks... forced shape-change seems such a drastic step." It seemed to disapprove, a little.

"I think they make us change to keep others safe? I have seen others who are very big even when changed, and they wear the pins too. It's supposed to make it so we all fit inside the school too, and our rooms. But. . . . I can change my form outside, when we are in a good area. I think. I have never tried it."
Chuppi paused and shifted her books around enough that she could tap the pin that was resting in her hair. She'd seen some people go down to the lakes and what not in their more natural forms, she'd even see some in the dorm rooms doing it, but she'd never thought of it herself. It never occurred to her that she shifted in her sleep, but since she always slept nude she wouldn't have noticed any ripped clothing.
"I don't think to question things."

"I always ask questions," Malodore said with a chuckle. "Some people do not like to answer, or want to answer. But it is only in questioning that one receives answers."
They were drawing near to the undead dorm now, and the plague doctor nodded to Temes. "Grazie mille - we are nearly there. I can manage to take them from the doorway up to my room, I believe. It may be a bit cold within for you."

Chuppi nodded to whatever the plague doctor was saying and she handed the books over to him as the neared the doorstep. While she certainly wasn't going to ask many questions right away she did find that she gave a good advice. It was weird how Chuppi couldn't think of the person before her as an "it" so she simply alternated between gender pronouns in her mind. It wouldn't hurt anyone for her to do so, right?
"Um...de nana. No es una problema."
The chupacabra smiled and bobbed her head a bit as she turned to leave, not even really knowing what to do from this point on. At least she'd done a good deed - now it was time for her to get back and finish reading her book!

"I will return a favor to you at some point, Signorina Temes. Be assured of it," Malodore said, opening its beak slightly in a small smile. It made sure the books were properly balanced. "Grazie. I am sure our paths will cross again in the future."
