Ellie was 5'10" in flat shoes and still growing. She noticed Aitana's attempts to peer into the room. The blonde could have easily stood on her own tiptoes and pretty much block any chance of the exchange student getting a good look.

"I ain't hidin' jack sh*t, kid!" The senior let out a laugh before entering the actual classroom. "I might be biased, but it's th'second best classroom in th'school." Anyone who knew Ellie knew that the first best classroom was auto shop, which was very similar in layout, except part of the room was essentially a miniature garage. Letting herself in easily, she left the green-haired girl to her own devices for a moment while she put on the proper safety gear. She had to tie her hair back a certain way so the long strands didn't get in the way, put on a heavy apron, thick gloves, and a pair of goggles. Before the goggles were gently snapped over her line of vision, she then called out informatively "Jus' make sure ya don't touch anythin'! They're sticklers 'bout safety in 'ere, so jus' stay on the side and don't get in th'way!"

Doing the closest thing that could be considered mentoring when dealing with Ellie, she snapped those goggles over her eyes. Since this work was extracurricular, she couldn't do it during school hours. Clamping a piece of metal into some sort of contraption, she then began to set to work. Since this part was relatively mild in the danger department, she didn't need a full face mask to work. Her gloved hand grabbed onto a large file, and without any hesitation, she began to work on her piece of metal like she had been doing it all her life.

-Ellie's use of profane language received a small and amused grin from Aitana, slipping into the room behind her. It was definately no shop, she couldn't see anything that looked like it might be for sale, but it was nonetheless ridiculously cool.

She followed the request, but just barely, leaning in close to inspect the teeth of a saw blade. And then she was onto a vice, turning her head sideways to see how it worked. Instead of tiny desks and chairs with books there were large work tables of wood and steel. Tools that looked like they might be out of a slasher flick dotted the walls. Ellie had been right and Aitana couldn't even fathom which class could be cooler than this.

Attention back on the blonde Aitana crept closer, trying to see what Ellie was doing, before hiding her eyes from the brightness.- "What do you make?"

How did one explain working on repairs of a vehicle without admitting the fact they had messed up?

Badly.

Sure, she could say she was working on fixing up a vehicle (which was not the same thing as repairs in Ellie's mind), but then she'd be lying. She already lied enough covering her senshi a** to ensure she'd probably be going to Hell after this senshi business got her killed. Biting onto her lip, she then just decided to go the alternate route.

"Stuff... ain't like yer gonna understand it anyways..." It was almost like a double whammy, since the tomboy could have easily be insulting language as well as intelligence.

"Mmmmm" -A sound escaped her, almost like a hum as she turned to search for glasses that looked something like Ellie's. It was the sort of sound that often translated to 'oh I see' in english and a handful of other languages.

Finding a pair of darkened glasses finally, she slid them on before lookng back at the piece of metal again, 'safe' now from any tiny sparks or metal shrapnel that the file might have made. It helped with the bright lights of workshop as well, they were like sunglasses, super sunglasses.

Try as Ellie might to try to brush off Aitana, the girl slid up close again, leaning against a nearby table to see if something cool might happen.- "Is hard to do then I guess?"

"It ain't hard if ya know what yer doin'... if ya know what yer doin' it's just doin' what ya need t'do." She continued to file the piece of metal, the grinding sound almost seeming to vibrate all the way down to Ellie's tailbone. She paused for a moment to unclamp the piece she was working on and hold it up. As she looked it over carefully, she casually asked "So, what sorta sh*t are ya inta?" It was obviously not autos if this green haired girl had never been in a metal shop before.

-She listened as Ellie gave her cryptic answer, not understanding much of any of it, but she nodded nonetheless. Apparently if she had known then she would have understood, so that was that!

The topic was changed only a few moments before the familiar ringing buzz of the first bells of school blarred, the blonde's question illicited an enthusiastic response.- "Many things. But volleyball the most I think."

"I am Outside Hitter for Meadowview Mustangs" -She said it as if it were something Ellie should be very much impressed about, her fingers tightening around the leaning backpack on her shoulder. It would only be four minutes until the warning bell, and then one minute after that for the final one. How long would it take to sprint to math? Her breath was caught again atleast.-

"Our race was fun, but I will beat you next time Ellie." -She added with a grin as she glanced towards the door.-

There were many sports that Ellie would have accepted as a "real" sport. Usually these sports were full body contact sports. However, volleyball was not part of that list. Heck, you had to stay on the opposite side of the court from your opponents, which spelled out DULL in the tomboy's mind.

In previous years, the senior would have needed to run off to another class too after that warning bell. However, she made certain her senior year classes were amazing. She started her day off with this class, so she wasn't in any rush. Her fingers had been once more preparing the clamp when the girl announced her intention to eventually beat Ellie.

"Um... yeah, sure... whatever ya mean?" That statement could have been directed at so many things. One hand lifted up from the clamp and waved at her direction. After that, the blonde was once more at work with her project. The Spectrum wasn't going to fix itself.
