okay... let's get this started. first off, everyone please try to wait to purchase zomg related things with gaia cash until the beginning on january. basically, try to save huge splurges for when zomg pets comes out. pets will most likely come out in january and that is when you will be needed the most to help show that zomg is awesome. second, there are a lot of threads in the zomg forum and also a guild called the zcampaign. to keep up more about what is going on with zomg and try to spread the word on the game, please try to join that guild/check out threads. from mavdoc and jk: word that colliseum will be released next week. unknown how it is going and no set numbers on the levels but i heard 5-6 levels for each trial. badges will only be available. and later on, maybe epics. mavdoc has been doing finishing touches on the boardwalk. jk has been working on pets. only two pets will be available for purchase. the time of the availability to purchase will be maybe a week or less. definitely less time than sweetheart ring. it is planned two new pets will be out each month. and they will not be re-release. (think of them like mc items) pets will only be in zomg. and there is some ideas that a pet will follow you or you can have more than 1 follow you. so think of it kinda like the easter event and the chicks. there might not be a christmas event or tree in zomg. with all the things the team is working on, it is a slim to none chance. after pets release should be boardwalk and its headstart tickets. boardwalk will still be a hang out area for about a month and then new things added. undermountain is pretty much near completion. (kinda unsure if i paid attention right or not) and still there seems to be something secrety that will be a part of it. as for random parts of mavdoc and jk's meet: mavdoc is single. mavdoc helped create the plushies you can purchase from gaia rl merchandise store. jk said something about the sewers can be an area for cl 10+. jk thought it would be cool to have a tron world area. or inside a canvas. jk plays the new dance central on xbox. he's glad he plays it alone. transcripts with more detailed info is available in the zomg forum. also zomg rl merchandise is on sale in gaia's online store. go to http://www.gaiaonline.com/market/ and click on the "gaia gear" banner on the page. at checkout, the discount will be applied. (sorry really random..)

jk's dev meet.
bad news:
1. no christmas event. so no tree and presents.
2. cursed pumpkin is not ready.
basically the cursed pumpkin may have a ring. if you want everything from it, then it will be ready by early january.
and our christmas gift is the coliseum. so be happy yes? biggrin
it sounds like that early january is the key. there will be pets, headstart ticket to boardwalk, and the pumpkin will open. so make sure to have a lot of gaia cash ready, even though right now powerups and revives are in demand due to the coliseum. biggrin
jk had crappy chinese food for lunch so he ranted about maybe have a ring for it. and throwing eggrolls. xd
swarf appeared and chatted some, but most of the questions were the same. also talk of maybe adding more modes to endboss, which would be cool.
anyway, hope you are all enjoying coliseum. also any badge issues will be fixed when everyone comes back from the holiday. and don't forget to click play on the ad in zomg. all played ad funds will go directly to zomg. also, gaia online's merchandise store has a sale on zomg items. those sales of zomg product goes to zomg. biggrin

so sorry! for the last two fridays, jk hosted dev meets. they were both late night... i think... and it's all a blur.
basically what was talked about was the same or has arrived.
we now have the buccaneer boardwalk ticket and two buddies (pets) available to purchase right now! and these are only available for two weeks. (2 weeks to buy.) so get them while you can!
the bb ticket is soulbound to you once you own it. if you purchase a second ticket, it is not soulbound, so you can sell the extra ticket or give it away to a friend.
the pets do not die but they do make emotes based on what is going on in the game, what you are doing. they are yours forever and ever and ever... until you want to sell your pets.
2 new pets will come out each month.
the boardwalk is a relaxing place. nothing to do but chill. kinda like how you would just hang out in barton. more features will be added so keep in mind that with the ticket, you are entering a place that is not complete. it is as though you are seeing a "behind the scenes" view on zomg.
so, will you purchase some buddies and a ticket? biggrin
as for other things, nothing much new that was mentioned. also if you do end up at the boardwalk while mavdoc or jk is around, they may give a tour of the area. biggrin

According to my sources (which are always right). Here is what we have come to expect form zOMG! in the up coming months.
Buccaneers boardwalk
The Ferris wheel will be operational and will have lights for night time. Our avis can go and ride the Ferris wheel.
The fancy boat will be operational and will take us to Gambino Island.
The Pirate Ship will be operational but it's where abouts it will take you are unknown at this time.
There will be a treasure hunt.
And [ JK ] wants to put in a dance theater in which you dance as you did in the Promagedon events a few years back in DDR formation.
Dead Mans Pass
The gate in the mountain will be accessible and lead to a place called Under Mountain Pass. What will be there we can only speculate that,
[ JK ]'s cash register monster he showed us previously. Nothing has been confirmed yet.
zOMG! Buddies (Pets or Summons)
in 2 weeks prior to the first OMG and Kiki being released in the next 2 weeks a set of 2 new Pets will be available in Back Ali Bargains. These pets venue will decide the fate of the zOMG! developing team. This is their last hope.Signs form the manga Mavdoc has posted show that a land Shark will be a pet and is confirmed.
The pets purpose in the future.
1.Possible be the cause of our CL being able to go to 12.0
2. They will fight along side you.
3. 2 new pets will be released every 2 weeks.
The Cursed Pumpkin
[ JK ] avoided my question him on this at the last dev meet up in BB. All he said was soon. and I quote "The ring will be useful when the time calls for it" Speculation depicts the ring is a new AoE (Area of Effect like Fire Rain and Dervish) but it's only speculation.
Coliseum
I have noticed that now the new Lawnmower badges have image now which means they are being looked into. The kills of the Air Boxes still count toward the Lawnmower badges so no word yet on weather or not well lose the badges we have collected on the Lawnmowers yet or not.
I have received word form many zOMGaians! that in the Impossible modes Jack has been sited. I do not place this on coincidence seeing as many users have come to me with this juicy bit of information.
Sealab Compound
I have seen proof that the developers have made a:
*Labtech Badge
*labtech Jumper badge
*Sea Cycle Badge
So look for these new developments with in the up coming months.
Otami Ruins
As some of you may or may not know the crystals in which the pets are help in were found in the cave below the Gauntlet one by Rin and Lin.[ JK ] has shown images of new monsters in Otami Ruins..Could the cave under the Gauntlet cave be opened to a new area of slaughter house farming for new monsters? NOTICE: They only showed a silhouette of a huge scary looking monster that made me shiver a bit claiming they would only show it in that formation because it was going to be epic. New Boss more scarier then Labtech X's prototype animated monstrocity? thats why they make it sound like.
And that is all Pooka has to offer at this moment. But I keep constant contact with my good friend swarf for more information.

some notes from both dev meets today.
mavdoc's meet.
he has worked more on bb and in another update in the future we will see jellyfish glow and be able to sit on the benches that are within the boardwalk.
reapersun created the kiki animated. so you can blame her for the thrust dance move. xd
undermountain is likely the next place that will come out after the boardwalk is completed.
jk's meet.
yesterday (thursday) zomg reached the halfway mark on the funds needed to keep zomg and the team alive. this is really good news. and the higher ups in hq will look at the stats next friday so hopefully zomg will reach their funding goal before then. *keep purchasing for zomg if you can so zomg will keep getting updates! and staff to work on the game!*
the video ad watching is very low. only 20% was reached in their advertising goal. but, the ad feature was mistakingly taken down for a few days. it's unknown if this ad watching is still important, but if you ever have the add appear, watch it in its entirety so the video will count towards zomg.
jk announced that there would be an update to boardwalk, which rolled out today. high level animated now roam bb. go crazy cl 10s and kick some animated butt. biggrin
jk asked about a powerup where you can create and post a shout that would be appear throughout the server. just like how [system] will post on the server. most agree it would be neat, but then there are issues to it, like trolling. it would be a gc purchase.
vivox is pretty much dead. the dev that was maintaining the feature left but vivox also stopped supporting the version zomg has. it is assumed that the voice features will be taken out of the game, including the whole function of voip. no word on a replacement except for skype.
cursed pumpkin was released today.
there was a lot of talk about pets in both dev meets. a lot of ideas thrown around on what would be a neat pet. also people wanting a pokemon/digimon kind of pet. but, doesn't gaia's monster galaxy already do that? :/ (facebook game)
today's update was the first bronstahd had to push out on his own. xd
swarf thought of the idea of the pets using the emotes to express themselves.
since the dev that was working on clan chat is not at gaia anymore, swarf will be trying to fix it. (going off memory... ?)
users want a way to name their pets. but, naming pets has to also be watched through gaia. like there has to be restrictions since a name may break tos, etc. dev team has talked about this and how it could be implemented.
ideas thrown around on clothing/accessories on pets. (awkward...)
someone mentioned cure should be released. (a mystery powerup)
music should be added to boardwalk in a update. but it was also suggested that the music needs to be fixed in zomg. some music does not play.
adding to music, there was a suggestion to have independent musicians create music for zomg. unknown if directsong and jeremy soule is still tied to zomg.
earlier on tuesday, jk and mavdoc gave tours of the boardwalk.
building on the left is a dance hall. it will have tied to it the dance game like from gaia prom.
the building with a skull and tongue walkway is a fun house.
tents will hold various games and quests.
there was a mention of "weapons" so speculate the weapons shop. biggrin
there was talk of a coin fountain, hot air balloon that would connect from barton to the boardwalk.
unknown what currency you would receive when playing games on the boardwalk.
the ferris wheel will hold crews. there was a mention of maybe a video animation to take place. but unknown how exactly it would work.
telescopes point in different directions. you can look over at the ferris wheel and possibly in other areas.
jk is working on pirate fluffs at the moment.
new npcs will be in boardwalk.
the port-o-pottys were first made to be used at bill's ranch. the original design of the ranch was to include a walking trail. mavdoc created the pottys. xd also there was a mention of a suggestion of sound effects to the pottys or even a quest connection, like peelungers come out or be sent to the sewers.
people want to swim in the water. they also were interested in fireworks, giant squid boss, want the animated there to be included into aquariums. xd
there was a mention of photo booth. fortune teller. (?)
pretty much, a lot of stuff. xd though most is ideas thrown around, it is at least seems like interesting things.
so, we'll find out the fate of zomg next friday or a few days after. if you want zomg to keep updating and supporting, purchase any zomg items you can. powerups, pets, a bb ticket. all purchases go directly to zomg. biggrin
also, it was said by jk that we need to keep supporting zomg by also sharing info on the game. so try to share your love of zomg through facebook, twitter, any way you can.

okay. it is that time again. dev meets. mavdoc started off with the dev meets. he announced that he has been laid off. he has 3 weeks left at gaia, and will be trying to complete work on undermountain. the only other thing i learned was that the buccaneer boardwalk ticket will be staying in the shop until bb is open to the whole public. most of the time in mavdoc's meet was full of sillyness. jk had a meet later on, when i had to log off. luckily sega took a screenie of info that was important from his meet. SegaManiac starfall571921 can any1 tell me any updates? i came at the last sec>.< I left around... 3:30 AM EST (I think? I don't even remember x.x) but this has pretty much the important stuff up to from when I left. 1-21-11 meetEdit: Here is the link to Pan's Journal if you wanna check it out too. this quote is from the last page of the dev meet thread. (p. 526) also about the journal entry that is mentioned, it is practically a summary of what is happening with zomg now. zomg will be integrated into gaia more. if you read the journal and then what was taken from jk's info, it all makes sense now. here zomgaians is a small group of users within the site and pretty much it looked like we saved zomg, but we haven't. things faltered and the higher ups still look at zomg, thinking it is not worth it. we can all only hope this move will work out for zomg, but the risk was to get rid of mavdoc. and more detail info, check out http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/zomg-gaia-s-mmo/concerning-the-01-21-11-dev-meatup-goodbye-mavdoc/t.68957146/ that thread has quoting of mavdoc from the meet. so, if you guys can, please comment to the journal entry. include your thoughts about this move about zomg and let pan and staff know how you feel about zomg. i already gave my thoughts on it all and if it is the only way to get what is on my mind across to post there, then at least it is a good try. you can also post in other places your thoughts on zomg, like posting in the sf thread, comment like crazy on facebook, telling the zomg page that you love the game or even posting on gaia's page how upseting it is to hear such bad news. either way, let your voice be heard. you have every right to be upset.

zOMG Easter is still in the works... Been resubmitted for testing by QA.
Two new pets will be released at the same time as the Easter event (allegedly)
CL Limits should be increased once undermountain is released.
Qixter now is giving out free beer in the bar in barton.
Boardwalk will be open to everyone eventually...
Still only 3 people working on zOMG... more are definitely needed...
Still no Fountain Games or Goofy Golf, and dont expect them any time this year.
There are a dozen or so new badges that have not been released yet.
New rings might.... might... might.. just come out when undermountain is released. (in other words probably not)
Undermountain won't be coming out until Bron has time to work on it and fix everything that needs fixing, and he is currently tied up with several other gaia projects. (it would be a miracle if it came out by Halloween)
The Land Koi are still in the zen gardens according to [JK], Very difficult to find and even harder to fight.

Improbability sphere may get nerfed soon, [JK] thinks it is way too powerful right now.
The Super Rings that the Queen drops in the Shallow Seas on Hard setting most likely will be nuked very soon.
There is a possibility that all the rings that you have that are above CL 10 may get changed back to CL 10 soon.
Keep your boardwalk passes if you have them, [JK] is considering making them a recipe item. Or He may just make them redeemable for an item.
(We tried to convince him to make it an I am Landshark item)
That is once boardwalk is opened to everyone.

Meet at 12 noon on 7/1/11
Arrived late and left at 1:55pm, a Bladed Vase roamed the plaza during the meet. Notes from my portion:
[ JK ]: Buddies with abilities will depend on coding time from swarf or halzy.
Animated items in zOMG? Depends. Would hurt frame rate.
(Someone said myspace is closing.)
Pvp is now a low priority with most. It's great because it is user-generated content.
But trying to balance all the rings for pvp would be a huge project... these rings weren't really designed with pvp in mind.
Have ideas for BB tickets, not ready to discuss.
___'Cuz Apple hates Facebook with a passion. Can play zOMG on droid. There's an ap on IPad - it's called "Swifter" or something like that.
Autographs someone's forehead. People line up for autographs on various items and body parts.
NOTE: Mavdoc will be there at 5pm (Barton Fountain on Air Fluff - see zOMGaians thread for invite or whisper plasmafire or jellykans). Forgot my purple pennant, will take it at 5pm to support our Crew member.
