"Well it's gone!" Lance glanced around a little, making sure that no one in the restaurant had noticed his little problem. <********>. He'd be screwed! He caught the look on Kali's face and immediately figured that she knew something. This was further confirmed when she summoned some money up and told him to pay with it and act as thought nothing had happened. Curious, but willing to play along, he nodded - he didn't really WANT to end up washing dishes for the rest of the night, after all. The gothic teen would just have to trust her and hope that everything panned out.
"Alright." Picking up the illused money and bill, the boy headed for the cash, using it to pay for the meal all while acting as though his wallet weren't missing at all. He joked the the young man behind the cash, smiled, and laughed, all the while wondering what it was that Kali had up her sleeve. Hopefully, whatever she had planned would work, and he'd have his wallet back soon.

Kali took Lance's arm and leaned against him as they left the restaurant, laughing and keeping up with his jokes like a pro. She kept one eye on the display, though, and watched as Katia fumed that Lance had money she had not known about.
"Where to now?" She asked, looking up and down the street once they got outside. "Have any plans? Ideas?" She smiled up at him; trusting, happy.
Katia nearly pulled her hair out. Kali knew what he was; why was she being so nice? And encouraging him! But she was not going to be beaten. She waited until they weren't looking to slip out of the cafe behind another couple and hide behind yet another bush to spy on them.

There were three things that Lance was good at - those things were drinking, lying, and picking up girls. Now, this wasn't EXACTLY lying - since he DID want to have a good time with Kali -, but he could still make this work. "How about the boardwalk? that sound good to you?" He'd only planned on taking Kali out to eat tonight, so he had to wrack his brain for a moment to think up that one. Hopefully, whatever Kali had planned would end up working out.
He REALLY needed his wallet. It was kind of essential, since it had all of his I.D, money, debit card...so yeah, he really needed it. The young man actually found himself praying for once in his life.
He also found himself swearing that he would punish whoever was screwing with him.

"The boardwalk sounds nice..." Actually, it did. The smile she gave him was genuine, and she leaned against him as they walked. Katia really pulled her hair then. And when she did, she stopped. It had given her an idea.
She only knew a little bit of magic. Most of it she had gleaned from Kali's books when she wasn't looking. Spells she wasn't supposed to know. Spells about making people do things. It wouldn't be hard. She just had to find something he wanted to do. Making people do things that none of them wanted to do never worked. But, as the book had said, there was always, always something that a part of you wanted to do. And knowing what he was? It was probably a big part of him.
She hid behind a tree and peeked out at them. Whispering the words, and going through the motions, she activated the spell and hit Lance with it square in the back. He wouldn't feel a thing. And Kali hadn't even noticed.
"Stop. Stop, and look at her." She whispered. She didn't have to say it out loud, but everything was easier this way. "Push her up against that tree. Forget about being a gentleman. Why don't you do what you really want to do?" The suggestion was innocent enough. But it was all, she thought, that she would need.
Luka watched his host from the ground beside her, frowning. This didn't seem right. Could Kali be hurt by this? He cooed quietly, and nudged his head against Katia's hand, but the angry little girl didn't understand him. She was too focused. And too smart for her own good.

Lance couldn't help but feel proud when he felt Kali leaning on him. Despite everything that had happened, this night wasn't turning out to be TOO bad. Sure, his wallet was missing, but he had Kali on his arm!
The young man was starting to think that things would start to look up for the evening when he felt a sudden impulse. He could hear something...whispering in his head. For a while, the young man tried to ignore it. However, the impulse was growing more difficult to ignore. "Push her up against that tree. Forget about being a gentleman. Why don't you do what you really want to do?" But no, he couldn't do that! It couldn't be like that tonight! He'd TOLD himself that he wouldn't!
Even still, his walking came to a stop, and he suddenly found himself turning Kali to look at him, his hands holding her shoulder. "Kali..." A kiss wouldn't hurt, right? Just one kiss - and before he'd even realized what he was doing, he WAS kissing her. But one kissed turned into another, and another - he couldn't stop! It was taking all of his strength just to keep from going further...

Yes, Katia thought, watching her cousin. Hit him. Push him off. It wasn't right. She wasn't allowed. He was being bad, and Kali should definitely do something about it.
But Kali wasn't pushing him off. Kali was wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him back, running her fingers through his hair and standing on tip toe to reach him better. She knew this wasn't Lance. Not all of him. She could feel the magic tingling as he kissed her, and quickly sent her own after it. It was Katia, and she knew it. Though, how her cousin knew a spell like this, she didn't know. If Katia hadn't been in trouble before, she certainly was now.
"No! You are stupid! That isn't...that's not supposed to happen!" Katia hissed, staring in disbelief. This wasn't possible. It wasn't good. Why was Kali liking this? Her plan cold not fail. She wouldn't let it. She would ruin this date if it was the last thing she did. Her cousin couldn't do this. It wasn't good for her! This boy was bad news, and Katia knew she wasn't the only one who thought so. She didn't want Kali getting hurt. She wanted to stop it before it even started.
Finally, Kali shook away Katia's magic; but she didn't shake away Lance. She held the kiss until he broke it, then stood, red faced and out of breath. She licked her lips, almost wanting more. She let her fingertips graze his cheek as she pulled her hands away from him, tingles fluttering in her stomach that had nothing to do with magic.
"That...was..." Wow. She really didn't know what to call it.

She was kissing him back. Lance couldn't help but feel relieved when Kali began returning his gesture, and the hands on her shoulder tightened a little, though he didn't squeeze hard enough to hurt her. When the kiss finally broke, the black-haired boy found that whatever had been influencing him to go even further with the redhead had vanished. True, he did still WANT to do certain things with her, but at least now he didn't have a voice in the back of his head telling him to do them.
Her reaction made him grin. She was cute when she was shocked. "Good?" That was what he hoped to hear anyway. He was, in no, way, a bad kisser after all. "I...hope you'll let me do that again sometime," he said, loosening his hold on her shoulders. Maybe more, though he figured that he'd better not say that out loud. It would probably ruin the mood.

"Don't stroke your own ego, goth boy." She managed to speak without a stammer, thank god. "Let's...keep walking..." She said, smiling softly. Her cheeks were still flushed, lightly pink, and she was coyly avoiding his gaze. She didn't say it, but if he wanted to do that again, she certainly wouldn't protest. Hell. Her lips were still tingling. It took a lot not to brush her fingers against them.
Katia was ready to bash her head against a tree. What was with Kali? Usually she didn't put up with crap like this. It was stupid. What else, though? She was running out of things to do. If that hadn't pissed Kali off, well...
"Luka, this isn't working at all." She huffed, crossing her arms.

"But it's so much fun." His grin widened a little - he could tell that she was still thrown off, even without the stammer. Lance wasn't naive enough to assume that he was the first boy that she'd ever kissed, but she certainly acted like it. Then again, this was coming from the guy that had kissed more girls than he cared to remember. Though, bringing that up would probably be a very bad idea.
"Right, walking." She was being coy. She was such a tease, even now. As he resumed walking down the boardwalk again, however, he found himself wondering what it had been that had been influencing him so strongly. "We're almost there." Hopefully, Kali would explain that later on as well.

Lance may not have been the first boy she'd kissed, but he was certainly the first one who had kissed her like that. She didn't even know how to describe it. Like...he knew, how good he was. That he could take his time, because she would always want more. And she did. But she wouldn't let him know that. She did know the reputation that Katia was so worried about, and she was sure as hell not going to become one more notch in this boy's bedpost.
'Kissing,' Said the snide little voice in the back of her head 'Hardly counts as a notch in his bedpost.' She scowled at herself, knowing full well what kisses like that would lead to.
"I don't think I've ever actually been down to the boardwalk. I didn't live around here before..." She stopped, hearing someone running up behind them. Too big to be Katia; she could tell, because they were taking much heavier footsteps, and a lot fewer steps than Katia's short legs could manage. She tensed, and spun around to see...
The waitress? For a moment, she thought they were caught. There was a mage at the restaurant, and they knew what she had pulled. The girl had something clasped in her hands; a pen, and some paper. The bill? Were they going to make them pay again?
"Thank god I caught up with you!" She said breathlessly, beaming. "I didn't think my shift would end in time, and you would get too far ahead..." She tossed her dark hair over her shoulder, grinning specifically at Lance. She did note that Kali was there, but it was the notice of a girl who wished that someone wasn't there at all. Kali didn't mind. As long as they weren't getting arrested... However... "We're a bit...busy." She said, eyeing the other girl with laughter in her dark eyes. Like she couldn't believe that this girl was actually daring to come near her. Like she was beneath her. Which, Kali thought with a jealous sniff, she was. What the hell was she doing, anyways, if she wasn't going to yell at them for not actually paying? "Is there something you need?" The waitress shot her a cool look, which Kali returned with added grace and pompous bitchiness. She was good at that. "Yeah. I was wondering..." She giggled, looking up at Lance through thick lashes. "Could I...get your autograph?"

"Well, first time for everything." If she'd never been there before, then that was even better. The boardwalk was probably one of the best free places that one could go for a date, in his opinion - the view was awesome, the smell of the water was refreshing, and at this time, Lance had no doubt that it would be fairly quiet. "I know a good spot when we get there."
The black-haired boy didn't look over his shoulder until he heard the girl yell behind them. Turning around, he quickly recognized the waitress from the diner and felt a sinking feeling well up. ********. Not now. Of all the times to have fangirls show up- "Uh...yeah. Sure." Hopefully, she'd go away after that. Taking the paper and pen with a small smile, he scrawled down an autograph to Mia before handing the paper back to her. "There." Now go AWAY. He didn't need anymore flirting temptations when he was already trying so hard to be GOOD.

"Ohemgee, thank you!" Mia squealed as she turned away, hugging the paper to herself. "Guys! I did it!" She ran back down the path to where a small group of girls were giggling in the bushes, squealing amonst themselves.
"Let me see!" Said one, grabbing for the page. "Oh my god, I want one!" "I can't believe HE is in the park!" Another squealed. "But who's he with"
Kali stared at them as they turned to look at her, glaring with a glint of magic behind her eyes. Did they want to turn this into a 'who was the bigger b***h' contest? Because she could really go for that right now. Her 'fight or flight' instinct was definitely set to 'fight' right now.
As Katia saw Kali's face, she couldn't help but grin. Now, she had an idea. Kali was jealous. This could work. Carefully, she snuck out to one of the girls that was hanging back; a pretty blonde, who was studying Kali closely.
"Um...could I talk to you, miss?" She asked quietly. She was very careful to keep out of both Lance and Kali's sight.

Oh s**t - there were more of them. Under any circumstance, this would have been fine. However, Lance currently figured that it would be best for him and Kali to get the hell out of there. So, he did the first thing that he could currently think of.
"RUN." he hissed, grabbing hold of her wrist with the intention of dragging her off behind him. As much as he liked having fans, now was not the time to be dealing with them. They'd NEVER get to the boardwalk if the two of them got caught behind a gaggle of fangirls!

Kali was mid-spell when Lance grabbed her wrist, jerking her away from the magic she was forming and letting it sputter out into nothingness. She scowled, but followed him, darting along down the path. She managed to cast a spell to hide them as the girls noticed they were running away and gave chase.
"We need to find somewhere to hide!" She couldn't help but giggle. Even if they were irritating, this was kind of...fun. She'd never run away from fans before; mostly because she had never had any fans, but whatever.
"In there!" She spotted a small nook between two buildings, and it was Lance's turn to be dragged, into the crack and squeezed up against Kali.
"Geez. No wonder you're so thin. What do you do, run all day?" She whispered to him, watching as the girls approached, looked around, then kept going. Which was good; it meant her spell was working.
What she hadn't counted on was that Katia could find her anyways. And quite easily point out to the blonde girl she was with where they would be.

Lance was actually surprised when Kali found the hiding place and only yelped a little when he suddenly tugged him over to the nook. This would work fine though, he decided, so long as they were quiet. "It's a good workout." he whispered between breaths as he panted. "You have no idea how much weight you lose doing that." Part of him wasn't joking - apparently, running from fangirls was good for your health as long as you could outrun them. He hoped that they were off the hook now.
