Azzo broke character, "You sew?" He bit his lower lip and coughed, readjusting his voice. "I mean, you sew?"
He seemed to think, Puss in Boots would be a good story, it'd be something the kids would like and he could see Yvette's handy work. The fox suddenly nodded, "I think Puss in Boots sounds like a good idea!"
Azzo hadn't thought of Puss and Boots, but it would work well, Tony would probably approve of it as well.

Hearing Azzo's normal voice for a moment seemed to break the enchantment upon the small adult, her eyes blinking as if she snapped out of a daze.

Yvette's face was bright red. She only just realized what she had been doing. The dark haired girl knew very well that adults did not sit fascinated, talking to stuffed animals. It was maybe what a parent did for their own child in an attempt to humor them. Her eyes rather quickly sunk down to the list again, as if trying to avoid the puppet's eyes.
"Uh... Azzo... I... I am glad I could help..."

Welp, Azzo did it now. He saw Yvette turn bright red, and blinked. He shook his head, "I'm glad you like puppets." He said slipping the fox off his hand and sitting him on the table with a smile. "It makes me happy to know that at least some of the whimsicalness of puppets don't wear off as we get older."
He gave a firm nod, it's why he still worked with them. He enjoyed them and the fascination they brought with them. Not everyone was too old for them. He was trying to well make her feel better about having sat and had a conversation with a puppet. "Normally I don't break character. I just never knew you sewed."
He gave another nod with a grin. Obviously if she thought she looked silly, Azzo probably looked and sounded three times as silly since it was him controlling the puppet. Of course he brushed it off, it was a small price to pay. "Would you like to go after school one day to help me pick out the fabrics for the puss in boots outfit?" He asked curiously. Obviously if she was the seamstress he'd need to make sure of what she could work with so as not to get something that didn't work.

It seemed that Azzo's kind words only had one effect, and it was to make the girl's face glow an even redder color. It was still embarrassing, no matter which way it was sliced.
"I... I kinda have to sew..." It was how she got most of her clothing was by purchasing cloth and sewing the outfits she wanted herself. It was much more cost effective. It was always nice that she enjoyed sewing as well.
Unfortunately, the poor boy wasn't going to get such an explanation from her. No, just the vague statement.
The mention of meeting after school caused her face to rattle from side to side. "I c-can't meet after school... I have to go to work right afterwards... M-maybe... maybe on a weekend, but not after school..."

Azzo paused, watching Yvette's face glow redder. He didn't know what to say, he was nibbling the bottom inside of his lip and thinking.
There really wasn't much he could say. When her face rattled from side to side he paused, right normal people have jobs. "Well, a weekend would work!" He said with a nod and a smile. "Saturday too soon?" He asked curiously, obviously if it was he could always wrangle out another show and save puss in boots for the next one, assuming Tony let him do more than one show.
"I can give you my number." He said softly in thought looking at her, "If it'd work better for you to call me when you're free for fabric hunting?"

"Mmmm... I don't know if I can do it this weekend..." She was working a pretty long shift on Saturday as well, so she was expecting to be exhausted.
When he mentioned giving her his phone number, she blinked. Then she blinked again. And one more time for good measure. "Uh, I g-guess that would be okay..." Sure, a boy was giving her his phone number. Daddy wouldn't like it if he knew, but Yvette had phone numbers for all sorts of friends on her clunky cellular phone, including Topher, who was a boy. Daddy didn't get to look through that list of names on her phone. Thank goodness for some saving graces and some privacy.

Azzo reached into his bag, fingers hitting something that sounded like metal. "Ugh, cookie tins always in the way." He muttered pulling it out and balancing it on his leg.
He managed to find his sticky notes without too much trouble after that and he wrote down his number on one of the pieces of paper before returning the pad and cookie tin to his backpack.
Sliding the little yellow sheet over, at least this one wasn't in such horrible scribble writing. Even though the last was legible this looked at least better written than what a 3 year old could do.
"Just let me know when you can?" He said with a smile, "And if you ever need help or need someone to study with your more than free to call." Azzo didn't mind helping anyone especially a friend.
"Or maybe we could hang out with Melody one day." Azzo gave a nod, maybe Yvette would feel better about taking his number then.

The sound of metal and his muttering seemed to get the girl's attention, for she curiously attempted to sneak a peek, trying to see what cookie tins she thought she heard him mention. Of course, a library wasn't a place for cookies, and even if it was, it would have been rude to ask for a cookie. Sure, she was giving him more puppy eyes without realizing it, which was probably just as rude, but she would have corrected herself if she only knew.
When offered the small paper, she took it up delicately between her fingers with a blink of the eye.
"Uh... um... I... I'll keep that in mind..."

Azzo was leaning on the table, "When you have lunch?" He asked curiously, wondering if they had lunch again. "If we're lucky and have lunch together you're more than welcome to some cookies."
He said with a grin. He didn't need to see the sad puppy eyes to know she wanted some. He looked at the librarian who was busy off to the other side, and he smuggled out a cookie wrapped in a napkin. Grams also made sure to include napkins just in case.
Sliding it over to Yvette. "Sugar cookies. They have orange and black sprinkles." He added, with a smile. He still wondered if they had lunch.

Did she just get a cookie?!
IN THE LIBRARY?!!
Her eyes lit up for a second before panic seemed to touch every facial feature. She nearly dropped the treat as she bumbled to put it in her backpack. What if the librarian saw her?! She would get in so much trouble! From the way the poor girl was carrying on, one would almost think she was committing a crime.
With the illegal treat tucked away in her bag, she planted her chin on the desk with a heavy sigh. "Th-thanks, Azzo!"
It was then that the bell rang for the passing period for the next class. Had Study Hall passed by so quickly? Letting out a mousy squeak, the girl almost seemed to pop up from her chair.
"Um... uh... I guess I'll see you later..."

Azzo had made sure the Librarian wasn't looking. Which is why he slid her the treat, he smiled. "Don't worry he didn't see." He said softly after watching her almost flail with it. Azzo would've taken the blame anyways, it was after all his tin of cookies.
"You're welcome" He added with a nod of his head and another smile. He blinked when the bell rang looking around for the clock.
"Wow... already." He muttered before nodding at Yvette. "Of course! Try to make the best of the day okay?" He got up and stretched before heading to his next class of boredom.
