Kuroi Kishi
Former "New" Arrival of the TVHIT and Puppeteer

User Image
Kuroi grunted lightly as the scythe was blocked, the puppet quickly catching it. It wasn't the best of moves but it was a move which bought him the time he needed to enact a plan although it would have to be adjusted lightly considering Midori's use of fire.

The platform quickly caught on fire although Kuroi didn't look worried as he took a deep breath and blew, a large blast of wind emerging forth from his lips. It scattered the flames just enough so they would simply fall away in the wind, at the cost of the platform's structual integreity although the main objective was blasting Midori away with the gale in an attempt to seperate the distance between them with his Wind Style: God's Sigh jutsu.

Midori was already prepping her follow up move when suddenly she was hit by a strong gust of wind that threw her over 25 feet backwards.

"You really think this is enough to keep me away?" She asked, speaking for the first time as she preformed another flying flicker and blinked out of existence.

A split second later Midori seemed to appear directly in front of Kuroi, holding a Kunai and thrusting it towards his gut. But this Midori was a mere Bushin, a harmless illusion meant as a faint to draw his attention while the real Midori materialized behind him once more, Spinning around and swinging her scythe in a circular arc in an attempt to take out first Kuroi and then his puppet in one blow

Kuroi wasn't expecting a miracle here so he knew that if Midori was caught in the wind, she would recover and attack him once more so he had prepared for the situation and smirked as he was about to enable it. The Midori's caught right up to Kuroi and attacked in an efficient manner although just when there strikes were about to connect, Kuroi and his puppet suddenly plummeted to the ground as Kuroi allowed his platform of air to vanish to enable his escape.

He followed this up with some handsigns which activated his wind style: gliding jutsu and allowed him to safely land on the earth although he quickly ran for the cover of several trees while making handsigns, his puppet in tow. Hopefully this would force Midori to fly lower to continue there fight as he hoped to remove her visuals of him which certainly would be problematic for her.

Midori raised an eyebrow as Kuroi dropped down just a split second before being cut into. Perhaps she had underestimated him a bit after all. It wasn't often a quarry evaded her for this long.

Seeing him dash for cover in the trees she sighed slightly annoyed he was trying to prolong the inevitable and make her fight on his level. But she knew that before she had arrived the yonger had time to set up who knows how many traps in the forest around him. She hadn't gotten as far as she had by taking needless chances.

Drawing five slim looking rods of metal with strange runes etched into them she tossed them so that they landed in a star shaped formation roughly 20 feet around the area where Kuroi had landed. "LOCK" She called out as she preformed a seal activating a potent energy barrier to prevent Kuroi from escaping by fleeing deeper into the forest.

"Now to remove his cover." She thought as she pulled her left hand into her sleeve for a moment. When she pulled it out a second later she was holding a handful of incendiary pellets then casually tossed them directly at a few random tress to set the confined area on fire.

Kuroi had been behind cover for some time although it would seem that he had been thwarted as he saw one of the rods landing around him and then forming a seal to keep him stuck inside. The male looked frustrated with such traps and problems although they would only increase as the fires started. Fearing a fire on his puppet, he postioned it behind him while staying low to the ground to avoid the smoke while plotting his next move which hopefully could be done with the cover of the smoke.

Of course, this could also be done by the fact that Kuroi was outside the seal by creating some clones of himself, one of which transformed into a puppet before using his Wind Style: Running with the Wind jutsu to rush out of the seal area before it activated. For the moment though, his puppet had been retracted due to it's unique chakra signature which could give him away and opped to summon his attack puppet which was already lining the sights of his bow at Midori silently. It would do nothing for the time being as Kuroi wanted to exploit the clones a bit more before revealing his new and certainly hidden location. He was begining to run low on chakra and could not afford to use jutsu as frivously as he did before.

Midori stopped for a second wondering what to do next. She supposed she would have to confirm her targets location. After all he might have managed to escape before she could activate the barrier or perhaps she had misjudged his general location and hadn't trapped him in the first place. She was good but far from infallible.

Floating over one of the trees that was already aflame she used the thermal energy it was releasing to make it easier for her to stay aloft. "Now for the end game." She thought to herself as she began to form a string of seals.

Midor rarely bothered with seals. She didn't need them but to perform her more complex jutsus and seals. This string was one any experinced ninja would be familiarity with. The sight of her preforming them had been enough to make grown men pee their pants in fear.

"Summoning Jutsu." She called out as she completed the seals and slammed her hand down generating three large puffs of smoke from which emerged a small group of roughly horse sized Silver Dragons who upon seeing their mistress bowed their heads in reverence and respect. This hunting squad was small by Dragon Standards, but any bigger and they would have difficulty moving in the forest.

"You two, recon the forest. The target is a young man with dirty blond, orangish hair and he should have at least one puppet with him if not more. One of you check within the barrier and the other outside of it. You know what to do once you locate him" She stated firmly causing two of the dragons to break off from the group, scrambling to follow her orders and please her.

Turning to the last dragon she smirked. "They'll flush him out soon enough, in the meantime I need you to secure a safe landing zone." She explained causing it too to rush off. It was only a matter of time now until she pinpointed her quarry and this game of hide and seek came to an end.

(Sorry if I got your hair color wrong I'm not feeling good today and am too tired to check)

Kuroi looked at Midori from his location, smirking on how well the whole situation was going although he soon frowned as he saw Midori summon dragons. "Damn I didn't think of a situation like that and a dragon is difficult for me to fight alone in this state...I need more hands." Kuroi formed another handsign and immediatly, more clones appeared, approximately twelve in all. Immediatly, three of them changed into bows, another three changed into arrows, and finally another three changed into look alikes of Kuroi's attack puppet. Motioning to the remaining three human clones and the three puppet clones, the puppets grabbed a bow and arrow before they rushed away with one human clone, aiming to more around the seal's perimeter to get into position. This would create three groups of clones, each group being of four clones and thus form a great distraction if they were discovered. For now, the main shinobi and his attack puppet stayed low as the puppeteer spread dirt and foliage upon themselves to blend in better and to cloak a possible scent.

Meanwhile in the barrier, the clone of Kuroi and the fake clone masked puppet took notice of the dragon and seemed to be already be rushing to find cover. Of course this was a trick which hopefully would appease the dragon sent into the seal to find the quarry.

(Don't worry about it Midori and it's orange by the way. Get well soon.)

The dragon hunting on the outside of the barrier, know as Swiftfire in the human tong wearily sniffed the air and immediately noticed something strange. They had been told to search for one target, and yet he could trace many copies of the same scent which lead to only one logical conclusion.
Leaning back his head he began to below out strange sounds, saying things in the language of dragons that a human did not have the vocal cords to copy. No human could speak dragon, but those that lived with them long enough could understand it.

Midori smirked as she head Swiftfire's simple message. "Shadow Clones huh. Figures he'd use his remaining chakra on a diversion." She said to herself a little annoyed and jealous at the same time because she couldn't make shadow clones herself due to the properties of her bloodline. Knowing that dragon's could hear much better then any human Midori simply raised her voice. Not quite yelling, but as if she was speaking on a stage. "Observe but do not engage. I have an idea to sort them out." She said. Content with those orders, The dragon inside the barrier Flarebreath stopped in his tracks just as he had been about to chase after the movement he had spotted only a moment ago. What ever it was could burn in the rapidly growing fire for all he cared since the flames where like a nice bath to him.

With that Midori dove towards the ground where the second dragon outside the barrier known as Starfang had cleared a small trap free circle by using her fiery breath to incinerate the targeted spot then rapidly cooled it by fallping her wings at high speed. Midori could still feel the lingering heat of the fading embers as her feet softly touched down upon solid ground. "Good job Starfang. Stay on guard while I make it easier to sort the targets out." She said.Reaching out her left hand, Midori took off her right glove tossing it aside to reveal that her hand had turned a shade of blue past the wrist from the accumulated energy of the dying trees she and Starfang had set on fire. Life was life, a tree which could live far longer then most humans was an easy energy source for her. "This should be enough for what I require with out going overboard" She said to herself as she raise her hand high above her head closed her eyes and concentrated hard for several long seconds before snapping her eyes open once more, the color having changed from her usual crimson to an obsidian black as she activated her one of her bloodline powers generating a surge of pure entropic energy that radiated from her body at a 360 degree radius in waves.

As the wave swept across the forest any plant life it came in contact with immediately wilted and died. Insects croaked one last time and any small rodents and birds that hadn't already fled dropped dead. The wave simply didn't have enough juice in it to affect larger creatures the same way. Instead of killing them they would only feel an intense but brief chill as the wave swept over them. Compared to what she could generate at full charge, the entropy wave had only covered a one mile radius and was small in comparison, but despite this Midori had dropped to one knee and was breathing hard from the effort of using a power she rarely called upon. With the stored death energy used up, her right hand had reverted back to a its usual shade of healthy white pink and she slipped her glove back on as she recovered her breath.

With the trees in the area dead, their was precious little to block her soul vision. It was the reason she perfered to assassinate in a city rather then the wilderness. While she could not see a target's physical body through a wall, she could still see their soul flames as long as the wall wasn't thick enough. A few dead tree trunks would conceal nothing from her raptor like vision. Gazing out she could see the relative position of all of the clones which only held a small fragment of soul which would go back to the creator upon their discorperazation, taking their memories to him. She had a technique to crystallize that fragment, thus keeping the memories from returning, but taking the clones down one by one would only be a waste of her time and energy when she could simply take down the source.

Brandishing her scythe in one hand Midori drew another shiken style shuriken out of her left sleeve. "Think you can hide from an S-class ninja? Think again." She called out as she ignored the clones and tossed the projectile straight at the the only other (mostly) full human soul flame other then her own in the area aiming for the general position of his chest since she could not see his actual physical body underneath the dirt and foliage he had cloaked himself with. The pinion attached the the shuriken had the distinctive markings of an explosive tag. But this was merely to fake Kuroi out and distract him as she body flickered scants seconds after her thrown blade and attempted to follow it up with a swift kick in hopes of delivering a knock out blow.

Former "New" Arrival of the TVHIT and Puppeteer

The chunin soon saw Midori begining to set down outside the barrier, already understanding the grim truth of Midori discovering his diversion attempt. Mentally groaning, he quickly allowed the shadow clones on the inside of the barrier to return to him. Still, at least the clones on the outside of the barrier could get a chance to strike Midori with there shadow clone arrows.

Well, he had the chance more like it. Kuroi and his clones could never have guessed that Midori had such a jutsu and as a result, each of the clones including the arrows ones encountering the harsh wave of jutsu although rather then just experiencing a chill, they quickly vanished. It would seem that Kuroi's lack of chakra had made them all weaker then usual which infuriated Kuroi. He knew his chances of victory were slim if not nonexistant but he wanted to provide some fight! However it would seem that the climax of the fight had approached as Kuroi's puppet rushed in front of shrukien and took the blow. However, as Kuroi hadn't noticed the attack originally, he looked at the puppet to see what had happened and was caught off guard as Midori went for the final blow. Kuroi found out Midori's plan too late and felt the blow of the kick on his back, flying forward and hitting the ground, groaning. The attack puppet promptly vanished due to a lack of chakra although the moment it left the scene, the familiar masked puppet appeared out of thin air and "stood" over his puppeteer, looking down at him.

Midori was suprised to see the shadow clones poof out of existince just before she landed her strike. The death wave jutsu she'd used shouldn't have been that effective under normal circumstances. But it was something to worry about later as she felt her foot connect and watched Kuroi go flying, more then satisfied with the results that followed.

When his attack puppet vanished in a puff of smoke she thought it was over for a brief second before the masked puppet appeared in its place. But then she realized it wasn't standing in a threatening manner, but instead looking after it's master almost like it had a mind of its own. The fight was clearly over since her opponent simply didn't have the chakra left to continue.

"You should be proud. Their are few few ninja below the Jounin rank who can last over five minutes against me." She commented, feeling strangely proud of how her opponent had managed to tag her earlier even if it hadn't produced any damage.

Producing a scroll from her sleeve on advanced wind jutsu she casually tossed it over for the puppet to catch. "I'd like to teach you myself but I can't promise I'll survive what's coming. You're already strong and nearly ready to become a jounin yourself. Use this to become even stronger and protect the village." She said encouragingly as she dismissed her dragon's with a silent wave of her hand and prepared to leave, lingering just long enough to hear Kuroi's response.

Unfortunatly for Kuroi, his clones were made when Kuroi was already running on fumes with his chakra so his clones were quite weak and a simple focused blast of heat could have undid them. Thus, the wave of coldness quickly shook them apart and destroyed them which was just the begining of this battle's end.

The masked puppet continued to look after his "master" closely who had been knocked out cold for a moment from the lack of chakra. He would be awake in a couple of minutes or so but otherwise, he would be fine.

Kuroi wouldn't hear what Midori had to say and the puppet did nothing but look down at his owner. However, the moment Midori threw the scroll, the puppet quickly moved his hand and caught the precious object before it continued it's sentiel stance right up to the moment Midori finished and was about to leave. At that moment, a very rough voice would be heard, the sound being as if one had spoken for the first time for years. "I'll be sure to tell him that Midori-dono and it's a pleasure to see you again." said the puppet as it's other hand reached up to it's mask and took it off, looking at Midori with a realistic yet still wooden face which seemed smirk with actual emotion. Shame that Daniel AKA Shiroi Kishi had to be a puppet now considering his unforseen death. "I'm sorry Midori-dono if you are unaware of who I am but I believe this mask will show my respects to you and this new village although you in particualar. Thank you for fighting my younger brother and good luck with your future problem. After all, I hate attending funerals."
PostPosted: Thu Oct 14, 2010 4:33 pm

The shock of seeing the masked puppet reveal himself was enough to make to usually calm and collected Midori stumble backwards a few steps and trip on her own feet causing her to fall to the ground.

"Da....Daniel!!!" She exclaimed "What on earth happened to you?"

Kuroi's wooden face seemed to frown as Midori seemed surprised at his revealing of himself which he honestly hadn't expected. He had never thought one of such high rank could react in such a fashion although seeing a former acquiatance as a puppet...it could startle her.

At Midori's question, the puppet looked at Kuroi, making sure he was still out of it before looking back to Midori. "I suppose I did this to myself. During the fights in the TVHIT, just after I took out one of the leaders, I learned that my way of overcoming my inability to normally use chakra was far more fatal then I had imagined. Messing with positive and negative energies of chakras within myself seemed to destroy the inside of my body and once the battle was done, it decided to quit. After some time I died and as I stated in my dying breath, I wanted my younger brother, Kuroi, to make what was left into a puppet. I wanted him to have a momento to me although I'd never expected this to happen. It probably has something to do with how I used to use chakra and how the body was made into something a bit sturdier..."
PostPosted: Mon Oct 18, 2010 6:29 pm

Getting up Midori brushed herself off before replying. "I see, so thought the body has died the soul lives on..." She said, a slight frown on her face and her fist clenched. "I know this may sound cruel but please try not to linger around for too long. The dead do not belong on this side and the longer you remain the harder it will be for either of you to move on." She said quietly.

"You know what I am.... If you don't pass on on your own then eventually I will have to do my duty and force you along. Do not... Do not make me do that to one of the few people I have ever considered a friend." She added quietly knowing how traumatic such an experience could entail.

"Being aware of your existence I SHOULD sent you right now, but I won't. Consider it one final gift from someone who should have done better by you before it was too late." She said remorsefully as she began to walk away.

"I doubt we shall ever speak again. You will probably go to a far better place in the after life then I...." for a long moment their was silence and then Midori vanished in a burst of speed. Her last words carried over a light breeze.

"Farewell... My friend."

Daniel knew fully well what the details of his connection to the realm of the living and the chance of his exiting of the realm with each passing moment. Of course, he considered his case to be a unique one. "You are right but in such a case, I am not dead and I am just taking a new form to act as a guardian to a former brother." he said with an air of confidence about himself. He truly did believe in his belief.

"Normally you would have to release a spirit who lingers about aimlessly although I don't linger about. I look over my brother who thinks that the puppet acts like his brother and thus has his soul. He isn't aware of my ability to speak just as his is unaware that he is what links me to the world through his need of help. As a result, this one cannot leave this world until my task linking me to him is complete in which I will be able to pass on easily as a guardian spirit and not a spirit who had there life cut short." This would hopefully appeal to the former kage as even though he was sure of his theory of lingerance, he was not eager to have someone try and exorcise him which surely would do more then just pass his spirit on.

He would remain silent at Midori's words, taking in even one of her words heavily before letting out a sort of sigh. "Midori...this one may not have a chance to speak to you again but know this, and note I think highly of you, I will not be able to pass on peacefully until my task is over. If I were to leave the world know, regret would eat at my mind and soul until it was lost forever so pay no mind to the end of me. It will come when it comes so farewell friend." said the puppet once more before it quickly collapsed upon Kuroi, the chunin grunting at the heavy weight which began to wake him up...
