Fleur's size made dodging nigh impossible; she could only dig her feet into the earth and withstand the attacks. The Take Downs on their own were of little concern, but combined they posed a greater threat. Aila noted the damage the Venusaur took and took measures against it, "Synthesis." The massive seed pokemon heard and complied, drawing in the sunlight to replenish its energy. The girl turned to her company on noticing the antsy Pidgey.
"You needn't affect their accuracy in order to attack," she reminded. "Even if you are able only to target one at a time, I would truly appreciate your assistance in this matter."

Logan looked at the Pokemon take the attack and recover shortly after. That pokemon was pretty strong. He was snapped from his observations by the girl's calm voice. "You're the boss." He saluted her with a slight wink. "Ok Armon, Brave Bird."
Armon swooped in from his low perch in a nearby tree to a Beldum attacking the Venusaur. His speed increased significantly as he came down, tucking his wings in close to his body to get the greatest damage done to his body.

She nodded in thanks to her company for his cooperation. She was carrying potion on her person, was she not? She would have to offer it later to compensate for the damage his Pidgey was taking. For the time being, though...
"Enough of this," Aila said firmly, pointing to the Beldum that had just attacked. "Vine Whip."
"Venaaaahh," Fleur rumbled, thick, cord-like vines emerging from the base of the pink flower on her back and rushing forward for the strike.

Armon fluttered back from the recoil of hitting the Beldum's hard body. He landed close to the Ivysaur taking in a big gulp of air to calm his nerves.
Logan couldn't help but smile when he noticed the girl nod. She seemed to want this battle over quickly, and the only thing Logan could do was follow. Not wanting the Pidgey to take any more unneeded damage, his order was sent out. "Armon, Gust!"
The Pidgey, having recomposed himself, flapped his wings to get off the ground once again. He seemed to hover above Fluer, about to help her but noticed that the pokemon had everything pretty much under control. He sent a powerful gust to the Beldum watching the battle.

Aila was scarcely content to watch the menaces flee unimpeded. What had begun as defense against a sudden attack was now a battle of pride, and the girl would not allow herself to be humiliated in such a manner without proper penitence. She left the slumbering Beldum to her company's discretion and turned her attention on the escaping four. One had gotten a much slower start than the others and was still well enough within range to suffer another of Fleur's attacks, or...
A red and white ball expanded to its proper size and went sailing through the air at the flick of her wrist. Aila surprised herself with her own actions; to throw the pokeball had been an unconscious, instinctive choice. She had never thought of herself as a trainer, but perhaps it was an inevitable development given her occupation. Such thoughts were of little concern, though, and Aila focused instead on her mark in anticipation of the results of her effort.

Logan muttered a string of profanity. The smart ones had left. All that were left was a weak on and one that had fallen asleep, and his new acquaintance had went for the the weakened Beldum. Might as well give the pokeball a toss. "Armon, be ready." He pulled a pokeball out of his pocket and pressed the button for it to expand. With a smooth motion, the pokeball sailed through the air straight at the sleeping pokemon.
Armon fluttered down to the ground, cocking his head at the curious sight. This was the first time his trainer had attempted to catch a pokemon; but his trainer had told him to remain at attention, to be ready if the pokemon had escaped.

The pokeballs were tossed. One struck B4 and instantly sucked it in. Falling to the ground, the ball wiggled, but soon went still and signaled a capture. The other struck B6 who was still fast asleep. Unknowingly the Beldum was sucked inside. It too wiggled weakly before going still and signaling a capture. What luck! Both Beldum were caught! (( OOC: Congrats! Be sure to give me a name. :3 ))

Aila stared at the ball, watching it even after it stopped showing signs of its resident's resistance. It was an odd whim that had taken her, but at least she had something to show for it. The girl approached her prize at length, reaching and drawing the cool orb into her hand. She conceived a silent wish that the Beldum would prove beneficial to her cause and turned to her incidental companion, noting that he had succeeded in his endeavors as well.
"It seems we've come out of this the benefactors," she observed aloud, returning to her Venusaur's side and patting her head approvingly.

Logan noticed that throughout the ball's wiggling he was silently holding his breath. When the red light flashed off and the shaking ceased he let out a long sigh of relief. His second pokemon that, he hoped, would surely prove itself in battle. Though he did no see much battling from it today.
He walked over to the pokeball as if he were sure it would spring out and run away, picking up and holding it gingerly to himself and smirked to the girl. "It was all thanks to you my dear." He probably wouldn't have made it out with this new pokemon if it wasn't for her. "I think I'll name it Nero." He held the pokeball to his side before minimizing it. Just then, Armon tripped and fell to the ground. "That reminds me, you need to be healed." He dug around his bag for an elusive Potion to help his feathery friend. Maybe even an Awakening for the new pokemon on his waist.
((OOC: I'd like to name the Beldum Nero, but I'll be sure to shoot you a PM. ^^))

"Nero?" she repeated. She hadn't given much thought to her own catch's address. It's behavior in battle suggested its nature, though, and the nature in turn hinted at a name. "Pitre," she said, her accent reemerging to complement the foreign word, "would make a fine name for this one, I believe." She drew a Super Potion from her stock and tossed it to the young man. "As for myself, I am called Aila. I hope you will forgive me that circumstances have so delayed my introduction."
Struck by a whim to do so, Aila pressed the release switch on the pokeball containing her new Beldum, which proceeded to glance about itself in mild confusion. It was a relief, the girl mused, that it was not as troublesome as Revenant had proven.
"Good afternoon, Pitre," she welcomed.

Logan caught the Super potion with quick reflexes. It would've been embarrassing if that had struck him in the face. "Thank you." He sprayed the Pidgey over with the supply of Super Potion, Armon felt better instantly. "Thank miss Aila. It's only polite." He smiled up to her as his Pidgey flitted over to her feet, giving her a nod and uttering a loud "Pi" as thanks. "Pitre, huh?" That sounded like a good name for that newly caught Beldum. "Well, my name's Logan and it's a pleasure to meet you." Having found an Awakening, he released his own Beldum and used the spray on it. "Nero, welcome!" He tried to sound as warm and kind as he possibly could. Armon just looked on at the two. Nero didn't do much of anything after being released from his pokeball. He hovered, like Beldum do, and stared at Logan with his wide red eye. "Beldum..." Finally he had announced his presence.

Aila acknowledge the Pidgey with a nod and the faint beginnings of a smile. She turned to Logan, her expression unchanging, "The pleasure is mine." She cast a wary glance at Pitre, waiting to see how the two Beldum would respond to their sudden reunion.
Pitre approached Nero slowly, large red eye staring affixed and unblinking on the other Beldum.

Armon eyed the two. His sharp beak closed firm, but head ever so slightly tilted. He grew bored with the two pokemon. He'd figure that there was always later to really get to know the new face. He was, after all, on his team.
Nero stared at the friend once known simply as Beldum, or B4, blankly. Now he was Pitre, owned by this female human. His large red eye soon showed the spark of realization. Those words stinging his own presence. It seemed that they were the only ones captured; at least the rest were able to get away. Even though it hurt him to be chained down by his own human, he was glad the others could flee.
