"I..." Now she was feeling all childish again. Was her brother that much more mature than she, or just as unsure as herself? Perhaps he just didn't care...not yet. She didn't know.
"I don't know," she shrugged, knowing her answer was very bland. "All my ideas of it are so silly, so story-like that I know they can't be true. So I just....get nervous, thinking about it." She paused. "Thinking about how if it happened to you, I wouldn't see you all that much anymore. Y'know?"

She wasn't revealing very much but he didn't really blame her, none of them liked to really talk about the example their parents set. Not even their father. Maybe he thought too much about that. He did need to get out more, that's why he had come out here on his own, after all.
"Well, it's not like I'd go very far," he said thoughtfully, "And there's always a chance if it does happen to me, she could be in the Wolf clan. It's not all family here."

With a continually worried look on her face, she glanced at Sedi. "No, but..." His words had truth, but that didn't mean that there wasn't the chance he'd leave. It was still there, somewhat looming. Would it make him happy to leave? He was a tough cookie to judge.
"Not far, but I would miss seeing you everyday if you did leave," she said, a weak smile growing on her face.

Sedi didn't know quite how to respond to that, she was obviously worrying a bit too much about it. Marriage was a big step and while part of him would be happy to ditch his clan, he wasn't going to become his father if he could help it. Never mind that he wasn't exactly making an effort to be more cheerful and outgoing.
"I'd miss you, too," he said, smiling at her, "But I wouldn't worry so much about it yet. I'm not going anywhere right now."

Kawani sighed. "Ok. I guess that's that for now," she said. Still...would his mind change when his mane finished growing in? Maybe she should ask Dad about it....maybe.
"Wanna head back? Hungry?" She was starting to, and while maybe she should start learning how to hunt...sometimes it was nice just to eat the scraps of someone else's meal.

"OK, how about this," he said, "When- if- that changes, I'll make sure you're the first to know. Sound good?" Maybe if she didn't have to worry about not finding out until suddenly he was moving, she might not worry about it like she seemed to be. Though he wasn't so sure he'd ever be the lovesick type who would babble endlessly about it early on. Or ever. He couldn't say that for sure, either, but the idea made him want to gag a little bit.
"Yeah, let's go," he said, pushing himself up to his feet and stretching out. He'd been laying still for a little too long.

Kawani felt a little better with that. She let her tense shoulders release, and smiled much more brightly. It wasn't perfect, but it would work well. "Ok!"
She wiggled next to him, still loving the fact that she has such a big family but can still be all close to each of them, and grinned. "Great, I bet someone will have something we can munch on..." Oh, the benefits of such a huge family!
