Anila nodded her head and relaxed. She wasn’t getting Morin in trouble and he didn’t have any special plans that she was distracting him from. So Mr. Morin how would you like to proceed? Anila was curious and wanted to know exactly what they would be doing. She was eager to learn how to fly again. She shifted he wings eagerly and her ears twitched. She had a fleeting thought of Marcus. He had given her the courage to try and find a way to fly. She wanted to show him how well she could fly.

Morin cocked his head to the side and looked over at Anila. “well for right now I’m just going to watch you fly around a bit and see what needs correcting and what needs to be worked on” after all when they had first met he was thinking about other things than evaluating what the vixen needed help on. He also had a little practice teaching a winged fox how to fly. However Tsuna was a modidaeva and he had a feeling Anila was going to be a little different to teach.

Alright. Anila was a bit nervous she launched herself into the air and tried to fly close to the ground. Her wing control felt forced and she ended up having poor maneuverability in the air because of this. She flew close to the edge of the cliff at one point and saw the steep drop off. She back-winged awkwardly and quickly from the cliff edge. She didn’t’ want to fall down into what could be a fatal crash. She had been lucky when Marcus had caught her but the fear of falling made chest tighten up and her wings threatened to lock on her again.

Morin watched her carefully and shook his head. There was going to be a lot of work involved. Anila was scared of flying and it seemed as if she had gone through a tough experience she kept flying as if it would happen again. She needed a chance to feel how it should be to fly with out having to worry about the cliffs.
Morin looked over towards the ocean and knew the best way to start was for Anila to feel supported. There was a good thermal over there that should help her. With a running start he pushed himself up into the air and quickly flew up towards him. "alright, Anila lets start flying over towards the ocean. Dont worry about falling or anything I promise I'll catch you okay" he stated.

Anila nodded too wrapped up in trying to focus to answer Marcus. Anila headed awkwardly in the direction that Morin had indicated. She did feel a bit safer when Morin said he would catch her, but still she didn’t really want to put him in that position. When Anila reached the thermals she twitched along the course of her entire body. She felt the wing pushing against her wings. A small noise escaped her throat. It was nice to be supported but what if she found herself in a cold draft? All that support would be ripped away in an instant. Her heart rate increased a bit.

Morin watched as she slowly made her way over to the ocean. he was slightly proud she was able to find the thermal easily. Of course she seemed at edge even with the thermal helping support her. He let out a gentle smile and dived a bit to be closer to her. "shh calm down and relax. nothing is going to happen" Morin said in a relaxing calming and confident hearing her heart rate increased. "Just let it come naturally and don't fight it. Don't think what may happen" He stated. "Its the ocean, the thermal isnt going to disappear right like that." he chuckled.

Anila looked at Morin. How had he read her mind? Was she really that easy to read? probably. She did her best to follow Morin's instructions. She was still imagining herself plummeting to her death but it wasn't affecting her flight as much. In fact Anila was actually doing much better. Her wings looked looser and more at ease in the air with far less chance of locking up on her. How on earth are you so calm?

Morin smiled, although unlike his slightly sadistic smile or calm smile, this one was a bit more bittersweet. "I used to have all sorts of problems when I was a young kit. I had to learn every thing on my own because my parents where killed in a fire. One day I got in a fight with a bunch of older modifoxes and the only way to escape was to fly. I locked up because I was afraid and got severely hurt because of it. When I finally healed I forced my self to enter a calm when ever I flew. The greatest asset to a modiphim is their ability to fly. We use it to hunt, to escape, to have fun. Since we are lighter than Daeva's we are also more agile. If you can enter this calm all sorts of things open up to you" Morin told her and then frowned wondering why he had done so. It wasn't some thing he had told anyone; Kito or Kitsumi.

Oh. That must have been horrible for you to have to endure. I’ve only had one bad experience flying and that didn’t end nearly as badly. I ended up crashing into another fox on a mountain. If he hadn’t have been there it would have ended much worse. Anila remembered how she ended up meeting Marcus. It had scared her. She thought about how wings were important to Phims. I’ve never really thought about my wings being all that great. I’ve never had to really fly away from danger. I’m more or less a vegetarian so I don’t hunt. And I … I don’t really have any other Phim friends so flying for fun is.. well it doesn’t happen. Anila was sad about this fact but she told it anyways. It wasn’t like it was all that important.

Morin shook his head not wanting to think about it. “It mostly in the past now and I am a better flier because of it.” Morin told her. “Ah well crashing into people is always a good deterrent on flying again. Well its not that they are great. After all guardians and daeva’s have wings as well.” He noticed Anila seemed sad about not having too many phim friends. "ah well apparently there arent that many of us but you know a phim now. Any time you want to fly just come around here. I'll go flying with you and you should always have flying as a back up way to escape. there are actually many things bigger than phims but most of them cant fly after you"

Anila perked up when she heard Morin make his offer to fly with her anytime. It was kind of nice to know that there was someone out there that she could fly with. I never liked flying alone. It always seemed so.. lonesome in the skies. So far up and away from everything. T-thank you.. She thought over his next statement. I suppose it's true that most large predators don't fly.

"well the only thing that would probably dare take on a modifox would be humans, or some sort of wild cat or a bear. Well I suppose a modidaeva or a dragon would be able to chase after us" Morin pondered thinking over the different creatures that could be considered a predatory to a modifox. "ah well you're welcome" he wondered if she would ever come by. Well as long as he stayed the only scout everything would be good.

Anila winced and her flight seemed unsteady for a moment. She calmed down and recovered herself though. H-Humans would hurt a modiphim? Why would they do that? I know a human and even though they don’t understand us it’s not like we hurt them or anything. Anila thought of the human that set food out for her, Rynn, and the others who the human ‘owned’. The human had never harmed them or hurt them in any way and never seemed to mind if they wandered off for long periods of time. Weren’t all humans like that? Anila listened to Morin, he was right a Daeva or a dragon could fly after them. If you don’t provoke them why would a modideava or a dragon be after you? Anila smiled when she heard Morin say thank you. He really is a nice fox. I will defiantly come back to see him.

"There are some rather kind and gentle humans, just like there are some kind and gentle modifoxes but there are some mean and cruel ones just as well. They like hunting us because we are unusual prey. Some think we have magical properties they can harvest for themselves." Morin explained. "Well as for dragons, mostly they only come after you because provoked them. Daeva's are a bit different. Some seem to have a deep personal grudge against modiphims because they tend to stereotype us. So they fly after us and try to taunt us and attack us and make us uncomfortable" Morin explained.

Anila’s head was spinning as she thought all of Morin’s words. Would she ever be harassed just for being a modiphim? It didn’t seem fair or right in the least. How did Morin know about all of this? Had he ever had to experience cruelty for being a ‘Phim. How did he deal with it? She wasn’t sure if it was proper to ask something quite that personal since she hadn’t known Morin for that long. A troubled look crossed Anila’s face and she tried to simply focus on her flying.
