Peeves bobbed into the office eagerly. "'ello your professorheadship!" He cackled happily, doing a backflip once. noting the look, he swiftly went still, adopting an oily voice that was little more than his usual cackle. "Wanted to make a request, your headship!."

Peeves swept off an an imaginary hat, clutching it where a heart had once beat in his breast. "Wanted to make a request, your headship," face uncharacteristically serious. "Saw you got lots of vacancies. Wanted to offer, I did." He bobbed in excitement. "Ghoul studies, headship!"

Lillian followed in after Daemon, swerving around him to get to the Headmistress before he did. She stopped in her tracks when she saw Peeves, "Is this a bad time...?" she glanced between the Poltergeist and the Headmistress.

So, I took the liberty of bringing him down here for your permission," the Charms professor inspected the Headmistress, noting the strange look in her face. Was that pity? Or just her usual sadness?
