Staarre Luna crawled off her beanbag and sat on the floor beside Eliza. "Actually, I do. I do very much. Why, is it spicy?" Eliza has another sip of the Gumbo before replying. If you can handle wasahbi (pardon my spelling) you can handle this! Actually she had kicked-it-up-a-notch after the "innocent" looking green stuff had cleared her sinus' when she had tried it for the first time. But out of respect for those to try it themselves - Eliza felt a need to at least caution them. Her father however would sit back and laugh as the steam would come out of thier ears. Course he also had ice cream for dessert - as just about anyone knew the affect on dairy on a mouth of flame. She reaches over and gives Luna a spoon and a mug. Then digs through the contents of the basket to put out some wedges of cheese, for the aforementioned reason.

┏━━━━━━━━━┓  ┗━━━━━━━━━┛ Just as Luna was reaching over to grab Eliza's mug, Severus walked into the room. He eyed Gilderoy before settling down on his green beanbag. "Hello, you two", he said, leaning towards them. "Whadya got there?"

Eliza was glad she didn't have anything in her mouth with Snape's sudden appearance, she might have choked on it.
Still she manages a smile.
I made up a spread of some treats - it being October and no tricks - unless you happen to not like spicy soup...
Pausing she gives a gesture to let him see for himself what was available. And also by doing so - it gave her a chance to shut up gracefully.

┏━━━━━━━━━┓ ┗━━━━━━━━━┛ Severus smiled, reaching forward and taking a bowl of the gumbo. He stared at it, letting it cool. Looking back at the girls, he leaned forward, whispering into their ears. "You know... Halloween is in a few days... If you want to plan out a trick, we should start now. A few years ago the Ravenclaw boys made a miniature haunted house theme park in the owl tower. It was a huge hit. I was thinking... Maybe us three could reenact it?"

Eliza was thrilled with Snapes' idea - and not just because it came from him either.
Hogwarts celebrated Halloween!
Still, she had to contain herself; she had a few suggestions already - but as she would be working with the others, Eliza should see what they could produce as well.
What do you have in mind, Severus?
Then turning to Luna. Do you have some ideas ?

"Basically what Ravenclaw did is they divided the tower into six sections using twine and draping black cloth over it, with holes every so often like doors. They brought one group of people in the first room and there was a storyteller. He wore a fake beard and pretended to start a very long and boring story. But then all of a sudden, someone all in black like a ninja comes in and shoots him. Then the group move on to the second room. There's a couple of people that do a scene about a detective and then the group go to the next room and there's a similar scene to the progression of the story. The rest of the rooms are similar. On the last room, you find out that the detective was the murderer and then the police arrest him for trying to kill someone, because you also find out the storyteller wasn't actually dead." She scratched her head. "It's complicated, but it works."

Eliza nods getting more psyched by the minute.
I get it...each room is part of the "story" and by moving it along to each of the rooms - it also moves the crowd along as well!
She gets a mysterious grin on her face.
But I know we can top that...
Looks to Snape and Luna.
Can I make a suggestion?

┏━━━━━━━━━┓ ┗━━━━━━━━━┛ Severus burst out laughing when Luna tried to explain it. He covered his mouth to hear what Eliza was saying, and half nodded towards her, a huge smile on his face. "Sure! Based on that grin, your idea is gonna be huge!"

Eliza holds both her hands up.
Okay this idea is loosely based on two concepts...murder mysteries and participation.
We set it up based on the main rooms of a fancy dinner party where the guest of honor was mysterously murdered and no one knows who did it...Her voice takes on an ominous tone as she continues.
Each room gets more vague about the victim but more and more as to why the suspects would want to do them in. They were too curious...too sneaky, etc. Eliza pauses for effect.
Then in the last room it is revealed --in a stage jump lurches at no one in particular. It was YOU!!!
Eliza sits back to see how it was recieved; if she had done it right she then could explain more....

Eliza tries not to blush with pride.
As she had seen the movie and played the game she knew exactly how to set up the entryway...
It included a *cheep* effecy known as a pulse point, very similar to motion activation. It would go off whenever something crossed over it and thus be a surprise!
I think I know how to set up the entrance ...what if we made it up like the entryway to the house, then used a pulse point to mimic lightning and effects to simulate hidden menicing Fluffy type dogs all around?
It may have been corny but a good false sense of not as scary to those who hadn't been inside! Eliza then paused to see the others reaction and input for the first step...

Eliza wishes she could explain the start of the movie CLUE to help them understand what she was thinking of...
Okay maybe not a dog - dogs? -- what do you think we could do for the first room then?
Looks to see if Snape or if Luna had something to suggest instead.

He was interrupted by the school bell. He smiled. "That's the lunch bell! We must hurry, you two, wouldn't want to miss the year's first helping of pumpkin pie, would we?"
