Soul Drift is... amused, to say the least, at the story. Of course he's never met Nettle, but there have been whispers of stories here and there of a grumpy old legendary kimeti named Nettle. But it's the story about Crunch, and Peeper's obvious care for the old Kimeti that catches his attention.
"It sounds like you put a lot of work into befriending Nettle. You must be good friends." He smiles a little, matching Peeper's pace easily. "Hopefully we can gather enough food for him at the beach to keep that hungry turtle content for awhile!"
And indeed, the further they travel, the closer the beach becomes. Soon enough they'll be able to smell the salt from the sea, and hear the breaking of the waves. For now though, Soul is simply content to have some company for this last stretch of his journey.

Peeper has never smelled-- or heard-- anything particularly like it. Sure he'd gone far looking for Crunch, but this was different. Everything smelled strange and sort of dank, and he investigated as much as he could on their way-- careful not to get too distracted, because he did want to get back to Nettle's cave within a reasonable amount of time.
