I walk in, deciding on a seat in the middle of the class before greeting the professor. "Hello Professor. You can just call me Kage, I'm from Slytherin. I plan to work for the Ministry in the foreign relations dpt." After my 'intro' I quietly took my materials out, and waited for class to start. (btw I love the Snape quote in your first post Akahana).

XD Snape's my favorite, that's why I'm doin' potions.) WELL, since we have quite a few people now, I'll go ahead and start the lesson. ^_^ We're going to be learning how to cure boils. For this activity, you will need: -dried nettles -snake fangs -horned slugs -porcupine quills I've already set the ingredients out on your desks. For your first potion, I'm going to have you work in partners so you can watch one another. Telvanni since you're a bit more experienced, could you take Liviana? Once you're all organized, we'll get into the actual brewing process.

*raises an eyebrow at Aludra* Glad you should mention that. A little story about why I use the "buddy system". Many years ago when I was a little tyke, in my first potions lesson, I had an accident that could've been prevented if I had a friend watching me.
I was making a simple potion like the one we're making today...and I added an ingredient too early aaaannnddd...*lifts her skirt just a bit to reveal a large scar on the front of her lower leg* my cauldron melted. Thankfully, the school nurse was a bloody wonder and was able to heal it, though the scar never did fully heal. And even though significant advances in magic have been made, and this scar could probably be removed, I keep it as a reminder of why the buddy system is a good thing. ^_^

Aludra still tried to look around for a student, now not careing if he or she was a slytherin. Not that she had anything against the other houses... She just believe Slytherin was one of the higher class ones. Gryffindor was second down on her list. ...Slytherin
