The collision knocked, not only the air out of his lungs, but completely out of his senses. It was a great tackle, both of the young lions were heavily trained and powerful - but Azu found himself stunned. For a moment the world was black, and he couldn't tell the difference between up and down. Nonetheless his claws and fangs were still raging blindly.
Then there was Amira's gentle intervention. Azubuike willingly surrendered the fight, blinking rapidly to regain clarity. He whimpered and crawled into his mother's warmth. This was the best part of a good fight. Maybe Azubuike would win next time, but for now, it was time to have his wounds nursed.
"Good one, Kafe." He admitted, resting his head, smug grin never fading. "I think it's a draw, though."

While the hit didn’t knock his lights out, Azubuike’s sharp claws found an easy target in Kafele’s soft flesh and the red lion winced as he tried to make a quick retreat, nearly tripping on his own paws. Arg, it stung! Kafele shook his head vigorously trying to relieve the pain emanating for the cuts. Seriously, how could he be so stupid as to get his face right in front of Azu’s claws?! One of his paws also hurt considerably so Amira’s intervention was rather welcomed and Kafele crawled closer to his siblings and dropped to the ground.
“Yeah… a draw.” The red lion said with a grin, lowering his head to the ground. He could feel the consequences of his brother’s hits dripping down his face. “I’ll get you next time, Azu.” The youngster grinned and he look far happier and content than he had been before his his brother had showed up.
