Chaonis didn't stop to consider their fighting strategy, as he was terrible at being thoughtful or putting any effort into forethought. No, he was the kind of guy that liked to act on instinct, come what may.
And his instincts told him to attack. Hard.
Of course, a Youma based on an animal had to have instincts of its own, so he shouldn't have been surprised when it whipped around. But he was, and it smacked him hard enough to send him sprawling, though he managed to keep himself from hitting the wall. Instead, he just landed on that ground, shaking his head in a daze.
"So your distraction thing," he said, his voice a bit high since the wind had been knocked out of him, "think you can use it?"

The youma laughed as it landed the hit, turning to continue it's running at them. The pink one seemed harmless, or less harmless then the one that had charged so it would save it for last. A nice, easy snack.
Whiskers twitching it moved for Chaonis again, teeth bared. It'd have him this time.
She'd been worried when the rat had landed it's hit, and it turned to relief when Chaonis managed to not hit the wall like she had been sure he was going to. When the rat moved to come at him again she put herself between them, hoping to give the other time to recover his breath.
"O-of course I can," she managed out, feeling the familiar stirrings of stomach dislike. Here was to hoping this time it would maybe slow the youma down too... "Sakura Rain!"
Cupping her hands, flowers formed that she quickly blew towards the oncoming youma. The flowers divided into petals and surrounded the rat with bright pink petals, their sweet scent filling the area between youma and senshi.

Chaonis was not pleased to see his hope for a distraction lay in a bunch of sparkly petals, but he had to believe that she wouldn't have an attack that did nothing. Right? His attack was hard to control, but it was powerful and it worked, so maybe hers had some drawback as well.
Or rather, some hidden use, as the drawback seemed fairly clear to the impatient, less than defense oriented Senshi of Danger.
He struggled to get to his feet, his rib cage aching from the hit. His lungs were in working order, though, and after a few deep breaths he found he could attack again. And hey, the rat hadn't attacked either him or his combat partner, so it seemed the flowers were working.
Chaonis charged again, apparently not learning his lesson from last time, but this time he made a wide arch and tried to attack the thing from the side, his fist swinging as hard as he could manage for the rat's head. His attack was still going, as he hadn't discharged any energy yet, and that usually happened when time ran out. Or whenever it felt like it.
The Senshi hadn't figured that one out yet.

Surprisingly it had worked, distracting the rat as well as slowing it down. Lacrimosa could have done a cheer if she wouldn't have made a fool of herself and so she simply stepped out of the way and let Chaonis take another crack at it.
But he had better hurry for the quick effect was beginning to fade, as the petals didn't last long, and the rat was starting to get his barrings back. He let out a displeased squeak, louder then the others, that had Lacrimosa covering her ears. He didn't seem to happy to have been duped so easily.

Chaonis was not going to let the rat get its bearings back all the way, leaping into pummel it with his fists as his attack was still making each blow powered up. He slammed his fist as hard as he could into the rat's head, and the youma all but exploded into dust by the final hit.
The Senshi of Danger let out a whoop of victory, followed by a 'whoa' as his attack backfired, as it always did, and rattled the ground. The floor seemed to be the only thing affected this time, long cracks and holes opening up as if it were split by an earthquake. Chaonis managed to avoid getting his foot caught in any of them, looking sheepish.
It was kind of embarrassing, not being able to control his attack.
He shook it off quickly, though, grinning from ear to ear.
"I guess flower petals are more useful than I thought, huh?" He laughed.

She stumbled a bit when the ground rattled, but seemed to be far enough way that the cracks didn't bother her. Which was good because it made it that much easier to cheer about the death of the youma. It was always nice having some one around who could help make the battles end quick.
"Not as useful as your fists, I'll admit," she replied with her own giggle. "But they can be. Guess you won't doubt the power of flowers anymore, huh?" She was teasing, mostly.

Chaonis shook his head, waving his hand dismissively.
"I wouldn't say that, but yeah. You did okay, for a flower girl." He grinned, not usually a very complimentary person, but still fairly enthusiastic from the rush of adrenaline after killing the youma. He loved fights that went so well, as sometimes things just stacked themselves against him, and he got frustrated.
Tonight had been a good pick-me-up.
"Well, I think that's my quota for the night," he said, stretching. "I imagine it's okay for me to leave you alone, and you won't go jumping off any more buildings? Or at least land on them if you do."

Lacrimosa gave a giggle, taking the compliment for what it was. She was glad he didn't seem as rough as before. And this had to be the easiest youma battle since her awakening!
"Yea, I should be fine." She'd probably head just home, having had enough excitement for one night. A giggle left her. "And I promise to not go falling from rooftops again."

"Well good, because I promise I won't catch you again." He really did have enough bruises already, from all the bumps he had taken so far. He shook his head, then waved his hand and started to walk off.
He wasn't very good at saying bye to anyone, so he didn't bother. It was half him being rude, and half him just feeling uncomfortable with saying things like 'bye' or 'see you later' or something. He wasn't really in the practice of keeping friends, or having any reason to ever say something as simple as that. Usually he just pissed someone off until they stormed off, or he up and left.
Except for Angela, of course, but that was different in another way.
Sighing, he just opted for the easy route, as he always did, and said nothing after his last comment. He walked off, heading back home, eventually powering down before he got close to the apartment complex he lived in now with Tony. The last thing he wanted to do was draw youma to the place.
