"Damn straight I wish it. I'm wishing for a lot of things, but I doubt that acts of God are covered by wishes." If ever there was a time when Dreizehn wanted to know who his father was and exactly what abilities the man had imparted onto him, this was it. The demon needed to get some education of the human variety. Especially considering how he approached Dreizehn with no respect whatsoever and yet expected Dreizehn to accept the new situation without question. All demons needed to understand that there were lines. He managed to keep from demanding the cards for the answers, but--damn--did he want to use it to put this b*****d in his place. It took all his will-power to stand still as the demon spoke and called him by a pet name. And did he utterly fail at that, snapping not a second after those parting words. "Find a demon to trade sweet-talk with."

Once the demon was gone, Dreizehn twitched and threw the carefully organized cards on the table, scattering them. "Foreshadowing my a**. There is no way I'm letting him anywhere near me." A sigh before suspicious golden eyes cast over the scattered cards. "Couldn't even warn me about stalker boy? What use are you?"

The cards cowered and whined on the table. They had tried to tell Dreizehn, but the man hadn't exactly been willing to listen to them. He had held a belief that he was safe in spite of the demons roaming his home. Now what was their master going to do?

Dreizehn sighed and began picking up the card deck again. "I'm going out for a drink." He muttered, more to hear his voice than to assure the cards everything would be fine. It wasn't like he would allow that demon to take him as a mate. Dreizehn set the deck together again. "Maybe Remmy will have something good on tap." He murmured softly. He forced a smile before turning away from the table and headed out of the café, locking up behind him. The night was young and Remmy was always good at taking his mind off of what happened in his life.

Zerek watched his human quietly exit the little cafe he owed. Now where was his little heading off to? Looking up toward the night sky the demon deemed it still was too early for any human to slumber in those things they called beds. Rather comfy things if he had to say so. Letting his focus go back to the male, Z noticed the other had gotten a head start. For now the demon was just going to follow him, and see what the little human would do during is night out.

While watching the human Zerek found himself vibrating. Where was that sound coming from though? Reaching into his many pockets the male picked out a small cellular device. Emerald eyes narrowed as they read the number. What could his little assistant want at this time? Did he not warn him to not bother him? Frowning the demon answered the small device and placed it next to his ear. His greeting was annoyed growl.

"This better be good."

A tired sigh from the other line was the first response Zerek received. Then the sound of a phone being passed entered through the earpiece. The second person to speak was a bit more lively and devious. "If we didn't have so many years together Z I would have feared that tone; now all that tone reminds me of is of the old days when mother scolded me for being a good boy. " Zerek smirked, his friend's humor was one that always got him, even in the toughest situations. Z spoke back into the phone while watching his human. He was not going to release him from his sight. Not today, not tomorrow. Well maybe tomorrow, because he had leave by tomorrow night. So tonight was the only night for the demon to actually take the human. He was just waiting for the perfect opportunity. Z could feel it coming in his blood, it was all a matter of patience.

"What is it that you want that you must bother and annoy me for,"
the demon asked quietly, letting his amusement slightly drip into his words. A low chuckle produced from the ear piece, "I want you Z, and you know exactly how I want you," the demon on the other line responded, a devious smirk on his lips. The emerald eyed demon did not respond, for his lips said more than words than he would ever.

"I don't bend for the others, they bend for me. You are out of luck. Now what is it that you want? I'm in bit of situation that demands my full attention," the demon asked seriously.

"Boss sent our next assignment, seems like a long one. We are leaving tomorrow at midnight, and arriving at our first destination at dawn. Don't be late or else. The mission file will be waiting for you upon your arrival." After those words the line went dead.

Z shut the phone, a small sigh of annoyance escaping his lips. He did not want leave his human, but it seemed he would have to. So that meant only one thing, he would have mate to tonight.

"Damn, Dreizehn, you look like crap."

Dreizehn rolled his eyes. It hadn't taken that long for him to get to Remmy's place. A hole in the wall bar that even the locals didn't notice. Strangely. He sighed and slid into one of the barstools, sharing a cold smile with one of the waiters before turning his attention to the bartender. The man was watching him carefully as he cleaned one of the used cups. "Give me a rum shot, Remmy. And lay off the commentary." He could feel eyes glaring into the back of his skull but kept his silence as he watched Remmy move around the bar with ease, pouring him out a shot and being kind enough and smart enough to leave the bottle of vodka beside the shot glass. "Tell your boyfriend I'm not here to steal you away from him, Remmy."

Remmy raised an eyebrow but moved around the bar to talk to the waiter as Dreizehn downed the shot and poured himself another. He and Remmy had a history together. Childhood friends and that sort of thing. Remmy was the only one that knew the first guy Dreizehn fell for, and how that first love died. Remmy had been there for him while his mother worked at the café. Apart from being grounded in logic, there was a time when the two of them had considered dating before they realized that they both wanted to top. The bartender must have been keeping the latter part of that little tidbit from the waiter, if the amount of hostility from the new boy in Remmy's life was anything to go by.

After turning the glass around a few times Dreizehn down the vodka as quickly as possible and immediately poured out another shot, downing that as well before pouring yet another out. By the time Remmy came back to his place behind the bar, he frowned. "Planning on getting a new liver?" He asked quietly, pouring himself a shot of something that looked a lot like water.

Dreizehn scowled as he leaned on the bar. "Just a bad day, Remmy. Nothing more. Don't you have those?" He smirked when he saw Remmy nod. Everyone had bad days. His were just...a little different.

"A bad day, huh?" Remmy shook his head and the waiter boyfriend hopped into the seat beside Dreizehn. "You look like you got run over." Remmy shrugged as he poured drinks that had been ordered by the tables. "You need something to relax yourself, Dreizehn."

Dreizehn raised an eyebrow before turning to the waiter, smirking and pulling him into a kiss. Only to have water dumped on him by Remmy and, after he pulled away, the waiter punched his shoulder hard before escaping with the drinks that had been ordered.

"You're insane, you know."

"Thank you. I feel so much better now." Dreizehn remarked as he lifted the bottle to his lips an took a swig. Remmy shook his head and began wiping down the counter.

"Hey boss," a voice cautiously called out.

A small tilt of head was all the low caliber demon received. Huffing in annoyance the lower ranked demon crossed his arms, not liking the little attention he was receiving. With a motion of lifting his foot, the demon released the built up energy from folding it back. A pale arm quickly shot out to catch the jean clothes leg. Emerald eyes removed themsleves from the beautiful night sky in order to stare at the red-haired demon.

"What is it Kei,"
the demon all but purred.

The red head schooled his features, what had him in a good mood? Then like the wind wanted to be a reminder the scent of the human his boss had on his person filled his nostrils. Frowning, he stared back at the enticing emerald gaze. "So, uh, do I really have to do...that?"

Zerek smirked in cruel satisfaction. His little underling was frightened? Nervous? Nothing was better than watching a demon fidget, well unless they were begging and pleading. That was a much better show. "Yeeess," the infamous demon drawled lazily. His emerald orbs slowly removed themselves from the vision of the red-head back to the night sky.

"But I can't use any demonic powers," the other asked and stated at the same time. He was just looking for a firm confirmation.

A shrug of shoulders was all the demon on the ground provided. Kei was about to kick the other, but it seemed the other was going to reply. "If you can escape from the council, then you can. If you can't escape them, then I would suggest you not do it."

Not yes, but it was not a no. If you only read the words from the surface. Kei quickly caught onto the warning laced between those monotonous spoken words. "Yeah, okay," he mumbled. Eyes the color of the ocean glanced up at the night sky, a sigh escaped the parted lips.

"So do I have go now?"

"If you want to live another day, I suggest you should."

Remmy was watching Dreizehn with a frown on his face. The boy had downed the entire bottle that he'd been forced to give him and he seemed to still be fairly sober. Apart from teasing and groping the waiter. Poor Dama. Remmy sighed as he watched Dreizehn tease the boy. It wasn't long before Dreizehn was sitting in front of him again, a happy smile on his face. Remmy shook his head. Dreizehn blinked at him and sighed, knowing what was going through the bartender's mind. "You want me to leave, Remmy?"

The bartender snorted. "Even if I asked you, you wouldn't leave. But I think you're good now. Why don't you go harass someone else or something?"

Dreizehn tilted his head, thinking about what Remmy said before nodding. "Prolly right. I've got to clean up a little and make sure everything's ready for tomorrow." A smidge of a lie, but he was feeling a lot better than when he came in. He hopped off the barstool and headed for the back door rather than the front door he'd come in through. For anyone else, it just looked like he'd gone to the bathroom. While someone walked into the bar--a redhead, was it?--Dreizehn slipped out the back and headed down an alley that opened onto the street before heading back to the café. He had things to do there and cards to clean up.

The tarot reader hummed to himself as he walked down the road, oblivious that the man that had walked into the bar was there only to drive him out of the bar. The redhead was being questioned by Remmy right at that moment while being served a chilled beer. And Dreizehn was already outside, right where someone wanted him to be.

Kei entered the small bar with a face full of uncertainty. Being around so many humans was not the most comfortable feeling, especially when they were all so oblivious. Letting out a sigh, the male walked toward the counter and took a seat. His ice-colored eyes scanning the small place, there was no sign of the man his boss wanted. Crap, he thought, looking once more, though less discreet. Where had he gone? Sucking in a much needed breath the red head turned back around. A beer was suddenly placed in front of him.

He swallowed thickly. Was he supposed to drink that? Yes? Glancing around from the corner of his eyes, he saw the humans drinking the golden liquid. What was it? The demon would smell it, if no one was looking. The young demon lifted his gaze, and let his eyes stare at the man who was in charge of the counter. A sheepish smile fell upon his lips. Lifting a hand, Kei scratched the back of his head with a sheepish chuckle. He was nervous as hell.

Z really hadn't gotten into interacting with humans in his lectures...then again the guy was a teacher who wanted students to 'experience' before he taught them. Shifting around in his seat for a second he came to a decision. He would treat the guy like a comrade, hopefully it would sound right.

"Hello there,"
he breathed out. Was he really frightened of such human, that his breath had stopped? Kei refrained from biting his lip, now was not the time to be scolding himself. He had a mission to do, and he would see it through.

"Have...you, um, seen a guy,"
he asked lamely.

xXx

Z lifted his head, something in the wind was calling him. Tearing his gaze from the dark sky, he lifted his upper body and held it up with his elbows. Healthy grass colored eyes watched a door open from the bar. Had Kei really done it? Zerek, to be honest, was expecting the guy to utterly fail at his mission, for the young demon had no experience in the human world. Though it seemed the young man had done it.

"Hm, I underestimated my pupil,"
he mused to himself, amusement playing into his tone.

Rising onto his feet the demon stepped onto the ledge of the building and let himself fall. Like a graceful dancer, he landed on both feet. Refraining the smirk on his face Z followed his young mate for a couple steps. He wanted to toy with other for a bit, he wanted to see if his drunken state would hinder his natural human instincts.

Remmy stared at the boy before chuckling softly, shaking his head. That was the worst question to ask someone. In a bar, especially. Though clubs would be a close second. It made it seem like this kid was looking for someone to screw or something, and the nervousness that was coming off of him didn't help any. He sighed and he watched him stare at the others around them and then at the beer that he'd placed in front of the boy. The redhead didn't exactly fit in with the usual group that came around here and Remmy supposed that he would have to take care of him.

"Have I seen a guy? A few now. That question  isn't really all that specific, kid." He observed as he began cleaning some of the glasses. He tilted his head as he considered the boy. He seemed lost and didn't seem to understand anything. "What's your name?" The bartender asked as he put the cleaned glasses away. The waiter was busy serving the other customers and that gave Remmy the chance for a break. He leaned against the bar and tilted his head, waiting for the boy's response.

Outside Dreizehn kept humming softly as he made his way back to the café. He paused for a moment when he got started on heading towards home. He felt like there was someone there but he couldn't bring himself to look behind him. It could be because of the vodka he drank. Still, he did give his surroundings a quick look around; seeing a guy poking through the trash and a couple heading down the street. Dreizehn didn't bother looking behind him after that. It was enough to see that the others weren't panicking. He sighed and stretched as he continued walking down the street. He wanted to forget about this night and what happened between himself and that demon.

The naive red-head mumbled, "Oh." This was not getting him anywhere, and if he was not getting anywhere nor was his boss, which was not a good thing. Kei was hoping today would be a good day for his teacher, because those were only the days Z knew the meaning of patience. Shivering at the thought the male took another look around. Maybe he should have been more specific, from what he could tell all these humans were of the male species...that is if human males possessed the same parts as demon males. Did they? He would have to ask his master. Humans are such odd but fascinating creatures.

His musing took the young demon away, only leaving an empty shell behind. Though when the bartender spoke, his mind was brought back to its rightful body, almost like a rubber band snapping back into place. Icy blue eyes looked up from their lower position to meet the gaze of the human in front of them. "My name," the demon repeated, his tone sounding a bit confused. No-one in his past have ever asked about his name, because if you were of lower rank, demons did not care about trivial things like that. The only times names mattered was when you were an all-powerful demon.

Realizing his thoughts took him away again, Kei smiled and answered the question, a bit more confident. "My name is Kei...what is yours," he asked, curiosity laced through his tone. His light colored eyes gained an excited gleam in them. It was fun interacting with humans, they were...different but in a good way.

Z watched his human ignore the instincts that might be tugging at his mind, gut which ever these mortals used. His form pushed itself off the wall and followed the unsuspecting male with light and silent footsteps. His mind was still wondering when he should make his presence known, but his demonic sadistic side was calling out to him. Let this fun last a little longer, it is not everyday you enjoy yourself like this. Zerek being the type of person to put himself before anything else decided to listen to the voice. He did not get this kind of amusement everyday, he might as well soak up what is being given to him now.

A couple minutes of following Zerek got bored, like the quote humans say "All good things must come to end." The powerful demon lowered his stealth skills and let his feet make noise. His shoes slapped against the pavement in an obnoxious way to gain attention. Though just to make sure the other would turn and notice him he decided to speak.

"Tell me why is it that my little mate has drowned himself in alcohol," he stated, his tone sounding belittling, like he was scolding a child instead of a grown man. To add to the fire Zerek made clicking sound with his tongue, just to emphasis his point. "I hear that stuff rots you inside out."

Remmy shook his head, amused at the boy. He seemed so lost right now. He hoped that the other would calm down a little. He didn't think that worrying would do him any good right now. He smiled a little as the boy smiled and seemed to get excited. "Me?" He smiled and leaned against the bar, as if he was sitting across from the other rather than standing on the other side of the bar. "My name's Remmy."

It was nice to see that the boy was less worried but he was curious himself. He wanted to know how simply asking for the other's name could change the boy's outlook and demeanour so suddenly. He glanced around the bar quickly, checking to see that everyone was satisfied with their drinks and that no one was going to need to any refills or new orders any time soon.

It was such a nice, quiet night. Dreizehn was certain that he had the night to himself, unfortunately. Perhaps he ought to call up one of the people in his little book of numbers? They could take his mind of the cards' revelation. The one that that demon had bee expecting while he hadn't. A shiver ran through him as he pulled his coat closer around him, trudging to the café. He didn't need to think about that. A warm body in bed, waiting for his touch and his control. That was a much better thoug--

Dreizehn snapped his head back behind himself, stumbling slightly, at the sounds from behind him. Eyes were wide with surprise before narrowing in anger at the demon. He'd been following him? He growled at the proprietary way the other referred to him. He was not going to be this demon's mate. He didn't know what could happen if he mated with another demon and he wasn't keen on finding out either. He took a step back, away from the demon, growling softly. "Sure. Go get a little mate of your own and we'll answer that question." He snapped, unwilling to accept that he was the other's mate. He was his own person, no matter what the cards said.

"What do you want?" Dreizehn asked, arms folded protectively over his chest. He didn't trust the man and he wanted to get back to the café as soon as possible. He took another step back, eyes never leaving the demon's face as he did.
PostPosted: Wed Nov 24, 2010 6:58 pm

Z smirked, he liked that his mate was feisty. That showed that the male had some fight in him. Trying to keep his upcoming urges down, the demon forced his spark for the other to lower. Not yet he assured himself. Sliding his hands into his pockets, the male took a couple steps toward the drunk male.

A smirk slid onto the demon's face, "I don't ask for much, just one night." His smirk wanted to stretch into a full out grin, as an idea hit him. "What if we have a little challenge. I win you are mine for the night, if you win I leave you alone," the demon bargained. He swept his arms outward and then crossed them, trying to mock the other in a silent way.

"What do you say?"

Kei nodded, when the other questioned himself. His ears perked at the sound of the others name. His mind tossed the name around, trying to mentally say it. Kei did not want to speak out all wrong and make himself sound like a fool. "Rrrr....em....my," he spoke quietly, trying to practice. Kei spoke in a low tone trying to gain a bit more perfection on the pronunciation. After a couple more tries Kei lifted his head, a smile on his lips.

"Remmy,"
he stated proudly. It sounded weird on his tongue, but he liked it. It was new, and Kei had to admit it sounded natural. "Hi Remmy," he said, smiling like a proud child. His lips pulling back into a large smile. He felt so accomplished. I am progressing through his human world, without my teacher, he thought happily.

Dreizehn eyed the demon suspiciously. He couldn't stop himself from feeling wary, but this was a huge chance. He knew from his mother's experience that demons did not give up and the chance to have this one leave him alone would be huge. And it was all he cared about right at that moment. He wanted very much for this demon to leave him alone. A soft growl bubbled forth, not liking the other's seeming self-assuredness.

After a long silence of glaring, Dreizehn reluctantly nodded. "Fine. That sounds perfect. I never want to see you again." He wasn't sure exactly what kind of little challenge the demon had in mind. All he knew was that he needed to win this and then he wouldn't have to worry about the demon ever again. They wouldn't be mated ever if that was the way it went.

Dreizehn stared intently at the demon. "What is this little challenge?"

Remmy nodded, amused at this boy antics. Kei reminded him more of a child than a young man. Even that smile seemed so naive and innocent. The bartender smiled and resisted the desire to pat Kei on the head and tell him what a good boy he was. "Hello Kei." He glanced at the tall glass he had poured the boy earlier and tilted his head as he looked back to the boy. "Are you not thristy, Kei? I can get you any drink you want." There were a lot of drinks he could mix for the other--alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
PostPosted: Sat Dec 04, 2010 12:10 pm

Z almost smirked at the complying answer. He took a couple steps forward, and walked around the the alcohol full male. "Hmmm," he hummed, his fingers tapped his chin in thought, as if he did not have the challenge in mind yet, which was not true.

Z spoke, feeling he had spent enough time, "A simple arm wrestle," he stated. He stopped in front of Dreizehn and cocked his head to the side, daring the other to refuse. "Can you take that on," he taunted, adding a smirk just to emphasize his taunt.

Kei looked up at Remmy, and smiled. This human interaction he was having was so exciting and thrilling. If he wasn't surrounded by so many humans he would be bouncing in his seat with excitement. Wait until the guys back home hear about this, he thought smugly. The male as a young demon was never the smartest, fastest, most talented or anything like that. Instead he was always considered one of the dead last demons, or the one who would be killed the youngest.

"Drink....," the male questioned, his internal dictionary was turned on. What kind of drinks did humans drink? Information from school hit him full force and then it hit him. He blinked before smiling up at the bartender. "Is there anything with a fruit flavor," he asked curiously. Kei always had a sweet tooth, and in the demon world fruits were like candy.

Dreizehn growled as Z walked around him. He didn't like it. He wasn't some animal for sale and he wouldn't be the demon's mate either. He wasn't a weakling like the demon was assuming either--he could hold his own against most demons. Surely this one was like most. After a long moment of silence Dreizehn nodded. "Fine. An arm wrestle. Let's do it." He snapped, irritated.

Not waiting for a reply, Dreizehn turned and headed back to his cafe. He fully expected the demon to follow. There was no way that he was going to arm wrestle outside. And he wasn't going to lose either. No way. He didn't like this man and once he won this stupid arm wrestle, he was going to kick the demon out of his cafe and go to bed.

Remmy smiled gently as he waited for Kei to name a drink or even a type that he'd enjoy. As he waited some of the customers left the bar, nodding to him as he did. The waiter was buzzing about the rest of the bar, picking up emptied glasses and the payments for the drinks. Waiting for someone to think for a drink wasn't that odd but he was curious about what the boy would order.

When Kei finally chose the type of drink, Remmy nodded. "Of course there is." It was a vague request, but he didn't see the problem. Maybe Kei didn't drink or get out that much. It wasn't Remmy's problem. He just mixed drinks. For Kei, he'd make an Appletini. He did ask for a fruity drink. And, of all the kinds of fruity drinks, he thought it would be best to start with something simple. He placed the drink in front of Kei. "There you go."

Z almost clapped like a child, but of course he would never do such a thing. Instead he opted for smirking. Before he could input a word the male had turned around (giving him a great a view) and stomped into the place they had first met. With little resistance he followed the male into the place, like a dog on leash. Z closed the door behind him and watched the other, waiting for him to choose a place to hold this little challenge.

"Anytime now," he mocked, leaning against the wall, his emerald gaze following Dreizehn like a predator, a predator patiently waiting to attack and ravish his prey. The excitement in Z's blood was thrumming pleasantly throughout his being. The thought of any challenge got any demon's blood pumping, and Z was no exception. His gem orbs were glittering in the small light like twinkling stars, the excitement was hard to miss. Though more than anything, Z was excited to beat this human and show him who was the superior. Nothing like knocking down this human off his high pedestal. Oh how he would savor that moment.

Kei watched the bartender take his vague request and make something. While he waited for his odd drink, the male started to ponder on his teacher. Where had the guy gone? Had he left him? Fear entered his mind...had Z really left him? How was he supposed to get back home? His master hadn't told him what to do after he had completed his task. Actually Kei had just wandered off and met this interesting human.

The placing of his drink broke the young demon from his thoughts. "Thank you," he responded, his hands lifted to pick up the drink. With a tilt of his head, he looked curiously at the drink. It seemed okay, and he didn't have anything to be cautious about from the other. He smiled, and titled the glass toward his lips, letting the liquid enter his mouth. His taste buds instantly started to assess the liquid, and from the sweet flavor they were enjoying the drink.

Kei set down the drink and smiled at Remmy. "This is utterly delicious," he stated grinning. Kei lifted the glass again and took another delicious sip.

Dreizehn walked back into the room where he'd done the reading. A table, two chairs and privacy. He glared at the demon, waiting for him to coem back and join him. "Here is fine." He snapped irritably. He didn't care if Z had any objections to their getting through the challenge in here. He wanted it over with so that he could go to bed. Even better would be if the man would drop the entire thing and leave him alone. "Let's get this over with."

He sat down in one of the chairs after removing his coat. The other was a demon, so it would meant that he'd use his real strength. It wouldn't be easy, but it was either win or mate with the demon. And there was no way that he could allow himself to lose. Mating with a demon that had the gall to use his own cards to point him in his direction; it was revolting! Did he think he'd be so impressed and invite him up to his bedroom. Even more so, did he think that Dreizehn would bottom for him? The thought was ludicrous! Dreizehn was a dominant and submitting to anyone was as effective as a cold shower for him.

Remmy smiled as Kei tasted the fruity beverage. His brain was reminding him that he ought to have checked Kei's ID card to make sure that the boy could drink alcohol, but it was a little late now. He smiled gently as he began cleaning the glasses that the waiter brought back. The bar wouldn't be closing until he left but he knew that the waiter would be leaving soon. Almost all of the customers had left except for Kei, so it would just be the two of them for however late they would be staying.

A smile spread on Remmy's face. "I'm glad that you like it." He murmured softly. "Did you want to try another?"
