His ears folded back, eyes narrowing a little as he took this all in. This had not precisely been spelled out to him, and he wasn't sure how to feel about it. After all, a part of him had believed that Kaelin was at least partially fond of him, had chosen him because she truly enjoyed his company for a few days.
So much anger! It burned him with its proximity, and he was left feeling saddened for Terreis more than anything. The idea of such irrational hatred being held as a "value" made his heart ache, and the knowledge that she had a mate, a family...he had yet to meet them, but already he was saddened by how jaded she was from this strange upbringing.
But he would say no such thing, because he didn't like to upset others unnecessarily, and speaking out against his....daughter's...lifestyle would only make her angrier. She wouldn't be motivated to change, at any rate. "...I see," he said, at length, and shifted uncomfortably. "I fear we've both received a rather lot to digest, in a short time," he said, good-naturedly, "And could likely use some time to think it over. I'll take my leave of you now, Terreis, if that's alright with you, and we shall continue this discussion on another day."

Staring at him with a neutral face as he seemed to process the information she had laid out before him, Terreis was really not sure what to think anymore. If only her mother was still alive she could go talk with her about this encounter, but that was not to be, and certainly Varia would not accept their father - she would likely try to kill him if anything. And Iosef, what would he think? Somewhere deep down she felt that he should know this, but not now, this would need to be done delicately.
When Adonai finally spoke Terreis somewhat agreed. They would both need time to properly think this over, but one thing was for certain, she wasn't about to act all loving and nice to this new male, father or not, he was still below her. "Fine." She stated simply, perhaps she would talk to him again once her anger had cooled down. "I have work to do." Turning she began to pad off, but stopped after a couple of feet and looked back at him. "Stay away from my family Adonai." It was a warning, she did not want him corrupting them while she was away, especially Guinevere who was just beginning to show signs of acceptance of her upcoming life in Antianeira. With that said, Terreis took off into the trees, perhaps she would use this anger to hunt down something, snapping the neck of a small creature usually helped ease any tension she was feeling.

What was it she was expecting of him, he wondered? Why was she so violently opposed to him? His nose wrinkled. He wasn't a monster, after all. And really, her family was his family, now, was it not?
But, well, could he blame her? Maybe not. It was an awful lot to take in all at once. "Take care," he called softly after her, and turned away, brow furrowed and mind troubled. Ah well. She'd come around eventually.
Meanwhile, he had a pack to get familiar with. Shrugging, deciding against saying anymore, he turned and padded back toward the heart of the territory.
