Ebony gave another blank blink towards the cat. She'd totally forgotten that day Lucia came over after explaining and apologizing to Cordelia. The girls had spent the day trying not to think about what had passed, just trying to enjoy one another's company like before. Although something had been up with the smoke Frei then, yet neither guardian or friend had been aware. It obviously hadn't been as blatant as this feeble attempt the two were desperately trying to pass off now. An act Lucia was absolutely not buying.

Again Delia was looking to Ebby for answers, her tanned face a testimony to her silent angst as she vehemently tried to hear the woman's thoughts and will her to hear hers. After a long moment, the dark scaled Raevan sighed, her sharp wings lowering and half-body sinking slight in reaction to her deflated emotion. Quietly she offered up their secret to the Sigel. "I'm not Cordelia." Ebony sighed, another pause before she pointed a sharp nail towards her former body. "That's Cordelia."

With a weak, unsure smile, Delia gave the girl a timid wave in response. Her cheeks blushed a rosy sort of color, embarrassed because she wasn't sure how her catty friend would react to such news. Body switching? It was so unheard of even in Gaia!

Lucia stared at her friend for a moment. There definitely was something wrong with her. Like seriously wrong. Well through the ECT and counseling, Lucia would be there. "That's Ebony. . ." she said quietly. Her eyes searched Delia's face for any sign of lucidity. None. She truly appeared to believe that Ebony was Cordelia.

Looking to her guardian, Ebony hadn't corrected Delia. She was just looking at the Kitten, a little unsure. What was going on?

Blinking, Lucia had remembered what she had been thinking - Delia had been acting like Ebony! Ebony had been acting like Delia!

Mouth slightly ajar, she looked directly at her friend's face. "Ebony?!" Her face slowly turned to Ebony's body. "Delia?!"

"Shhhh." Ebony replied once the Sigel realized the utter truth in her admittance. The other patrons of the restaurant had been pretty much keeping to themselves while the half people conversed, only a minor curious glance here and there, mostly guys checking out Lucia. But when the scantily clad girl burst with disbelief it had truly forced more attention on them, and not all looked to be friendly this time. Some looked worried that a fight was about to break out or something.

Quickly, the woman masquerading as the basilisk Frei grabbed her wrist and dragged her outside, the real Cordelia quick on their ribbons. Once they were a good ways away, Ebony let go of Lucia immediately and Delia soon slipped in with a gentle hand on the surely bewildered cat's cheek. Unlike times past, her touch was warm. "Lucia? Are you okay? You look a little pale."

Lucia looked bewildered as the non-Delia shushed her. She didn't think she had been that loud, so she didn't notice the harsh looks directed their way. Her milk was forgotten as she was literally dragged out of the restaurant.

What was this girl doing?! It's not a girl, she reminded herself, possessing Delia. It is Ebony. Lucia pulled her hand away from the woman-raevan once they were outside and felt her arm being released at the same time. She had never seen the uptight neurotic side of the woman before. But as a raevan, Ebony's uptight personality was certainly on display.

A warm hand brushed her cheek and her eyes turned to the purple-haired woman, as she was trying to understand what happened. It wasn't a 'typical' possession as the Kitten knew them. Her attention was fully on her friend - the leggy woman - now that she knew the truth. "Do you know how this happened? Does Kyou know about this?"

Lucia looked at her friend and she grabbed Ebony's hand, hugging the woman to her body. "Why didn't you say something sooner? Why did you try to hide it?"

Keeping things hidden, the Sigel knew, was not a good idea.

"Well I..." Cordelia fumbled, legs shifting unconsciously from side to side in an attempt to loosen the hold of nervousness that gathered in them suddenly. She hadn't a clue where to start nor did she really have a good explanation as to why this had happened.

She opened her mouth to try and explain again, but was cut short when Lucia pulled her in tight for a hug. The mere action was enough to put the girl's nerves at ease and she immediately reciprocated by wrapping her arms around the Sigel's waist. Delia couldn't help smiling about that, she really was happy for her friend's growth. "I'm sorry Lucia." was her quiet reply, muffled by the vast amount of black hair the girl was currently hugging into. Lucia certainly had grown, hair, waist, there was just so much more of her now. Not that it was a bad thing, just something to get use to.

Arms crossed tight over her half-formed chest, Ebony sighed and waited for the girls "moment" to be done with finally. When it was she flatly responded to the cat's previous inquires. "We didn't want anyone to know. That being said, you can't tell anyone. Most especially Kyou or the Lab staff. If they found out, they, I..." A most unusual look of pain crossed the Frei's face then as she glanced towards her former body with a longing. It wasn't for the physical body itself, though she did very much miss being able to stand on solid ground. No, it was for the soul occupying that said body. Ebony just didn't know what she'd do if the Lab decided she was an unfit guardian and took Cordelia away from her.

Quickly Ebony shook the grim idea from her head and continued on. "I can figure this out soon enough. I just need time is all. Meanwhile it's best not to get everyone all worried and whatnot. I'm sure they all have their own problems to deal with right now anyway."

A scowl crossed the kitten's face as she over Ebony's shoulder and hugged the body. It was not right to hide things. Hiding things could result in bad things. Like this weird mix. What if they got stuck? What if it could happen to others and they hid it? If it could happen to her and Yuu or her and Ty she wanted to know NOW. She did not want either of their bodies. And she had had more than enough strangers in her own lately.

As 'Cordelia' looked at them and sighed impatiently, Lucia slowly released the body in her arms. The scowl, however, was not gone from her face. Her lips tightened when she was told to keep more secrets. She did not like that. She stared deadpan, finding it hard to believe that Cordelia's body was acting like this. Other than the slight look of pain when dwelling on what might happen if the Lab staff found out, she was almost emotionless.

Lucia glanced at 'Cordelia,' trying to see how she felt about her guardian's decision. "You know what happened to me," she said, her eyes resting on Ebony in the frei's body. "Alex didn't take me away from Yuurei. And Kyou didn't euthanize me." Her ams crossed across her body, defense and antagonism towards this idea evident. If nothing else, Lucia did not have much of a poker face.

Ebony returned Lucia's scowl with a frustrated one of her own. This could be a problem if the kitten didn't cooperate. Though true it may be about what happened with her and her guardian, it didn't mean it would be the same out come for them. As Yuurei wasn't at fault for what had happened, Ebony felt she was responsible. Of course she wasn't completely positive, but the Brit was pretty sure that once things were straightened out and the source found it'd prove that she was the one at fault for this awkward situation. Then surely the Lab would take Cordelia away right?

She couldn't let that happened and damned if she'd let them. Trying to keep her emotions in check, the "Raevan" grabbed Cordelia's arm and floated away, forcefully dragging the girl with her. "I'm sorry but we must to be leaving now. Perhaps I have no right to ask you to keep this quiet Lucia. Though I hope you will."

A very confused Cordelia merely looked back and forth between the newly grown Sigel and her almost seething woman as she was being dragged away. Of course being the human now she had a much better way of refusing such a rough act, but of course she didn't. Ebby was already so upset she didn't want her more angry. Simply the girl gave an apologetic shrug and farewell wave to her furry eared friend. Hopefully they'd see one another again soon.

Lucia's arms crossed across her body, finally able to do that properly. It was odd now, crossing them under her bust when she had had to do it over for so long. Her mouth was a single straight line. The confusion across "Ebony"'s face was apparent. "Are you ********' kidding me?" She was being dismissed. And Ebony was running away so that she didn't have to deal with her. And she had scowled at her. No. That would not happen.

With a strong push of her wings -- which now enabled her to easily overcome the pair, Lucia was in front of the pair in a flash. "Listen, Ebony. I don't give a s**t if you think you're better or smarter than me because you're human or have been alive longer. I've been through s**t you can't imagine."

Her eyes locked on the raevan's, completely in control. And Ebony would listen to her. Her body language said the same. Her wings were still extended, able to easily propel her in any direction the frei tried to move. "Don't try to just dismiss me because I figured out your secret and you don't like what I'm saying. I tried to be nice, but at this point, I don't give a s**t what you think. I just want Cordelia to be herself and to stop being pushed around by you. Just because you're her guardian doesn't mean you own her. And just because you are human doesn't mean you know what's best."

Lucia wasn't so pissed before, but now she was determined: Cordelia and Ebony would not leave until they went to see Dr. Kyou. Or until the Kitten dragged them there.

Ebony's eyes narrowed, looking so much more sinister and menacing since they were scaled. In fact, Lucia should probably thank whatever deities above that Cordelia did not possess the infamous Basilisk's glare that her former self had or else she'd be nothing but stone now.

Something of a primal instinct took hold of her and the Brit gave a low hiss, her sharp wings unfolding with a rattle. "Figure out? We told you! Obviously a mistake." she spurned the dark youth before her. Floating higher, unconsciously trying to match a height and size the snake had once been. "And I'll have you know that I do not appreciate your tone of voice nor the manner in which you have decided to express yourself." To this she was referring to the cussing. "Further more I-"

"SHUT UP!" Cordelia's voice rang out louder than she'd ever been able to accomplish with her own. Ebony's mouth hung wide open in place where she'd been cut off as she gaped in surprise at her charge's sudden outburst.

Lucia's face was deadpan at Cordelia's as Ebony began scolding her. She obviously did not get that Lucia did not give a s**t what she had to say. It was going to work as the Kitten wanted. The floating higher, the badgering, the temper tantrum that the woman was throwing because she would not get her way was ridiculous. And Ty didn't like her either. Though the sigel had once appreciated Ebony for her efforts to reconnected Cordelia and herself, Lucia was growing further and further towards Ty's negative opinion of the oblivious and obstinate woman.

Lucia's eyes, however, as Ebony continued on her tirade, drifted towards the woman's body, which currently housed a Cordelia who was looking back and forth between the two raevans. The sigel did not care what Ebony had to say; like she said, she wanted Cordelia to be happy. And the frei obviously wasn't at this moment.

A small smile almost decorated the Kitten's face at Cordelia's outburst, but she suppressed it. From the look she saw on the frei's face, Ebony had never been spoken to in that "tone and manner" by Cordelia. And Lucia kind of liked seeing Cordelia stick up for herself and, it seemed, Lucia.

Always did everyone forget what truly lay beneath that serene smile and sweet demeanor. And though she was out of the corresponding body at the moment, Delia still held the Basilisk's bite. Now it was her turn to give her opinion on the matter. Something she would not sugar coat. "Don't look so happy Lucia. I was talking to both of you." she said at catching the cat in a moment of smug victory.

"You can't know what she's been through either. Or me for that matter. This thing has been hard for both of us." Carefully, Cordelia wrapped her arms around Ebony for a calming hug. It worked as the Frei's outward appearance relaxed some, though her eyes and set jaw still showed she was somewhat annoyed with Lucia. "And the less people know the better. They'd only make it worse with their worrying. Truly, Ebby is just thinking of everyone else, that's all. Even if you can't see that and she won't admit..." There was a brief moment of silent communication between Raevan and guardian, but it was obvious Delia had said too much into the inner workings of her woman.

"Anyway..." Cordelia continued, releasing a more calmed Ebony, yet who was wordlessly fuming still. "Could you please not say anything to anyone? I couldn't stand if people were needlessly worrying over us. I promise we'll figure this out soon enough."

Lucia stared at Cordelia, clearly not convinced of what she was saying about her guardian. They obviously didn't know what happened, and not making people worry wouldn't solve anything. Her posture once again got defensive: arms crossed, wings still extended, mouth set in a firm line.

It wasn't helping Cordelia's case that the words were coming from the woman she was currently pissed at. And that body was saying words she did not hold true. Or maybe that was Ebony's intent, but that intent was dumb.

"Not getting people to worry doesn't make you know how to fix it any better. If I had been able to control my body, I wouldn't have gone for help either. But me fighting on my own did not do anything. Zul saved me. And that's all there is to it. You can't do everything on your own and it's worth making some people worry. People ******** up. And s**t happens. And the lab and everyone else knows that. Hell, the virus came from the lab. They screwed up then. And a lot of problems came of it. But when it came down to it, they knew the problem and were able to fix it."

Lucia looked at Ebony. Her expression was softer, but Cordelia's defense of her woman -- as Zul liked to refer to female guardians -- would not change Lucia's mind. "If Cordelia broke an arm, you'd take her to the hospital. You wouldn't be scared of the hospital worrying. Even if they would. So why are you ignoring the obvious thing you should do?"

To this only two sets of grey eyes looked to Lucia quietly. She was right, they both knew it, but were too stubborn to really say so. This wasn't the same as breaking an arm, yet it wasn't exactly death either and Ebony had run to others before when things had happened concerning Cordelia. Why was now so different? Maybe because since they didn't know how this happened they were afraid someone to confirm their suspicions, that this was permanent and they'd never be themselves totally again. It was obvious the same idea crossed both females' minds as they both got a rather glum look on their faces.

Calmer, but still not really over her bout of anger, Ebony muttered, "I'll do what I can first and if nothing works I'll go to the Lab. Okay?" This for all it was worth wasn't exactly a lie, just that she didn't give a specific deadline to which she would contact the Lab should her ideas not work. Ebony really hated having to rely on others, not wanting to look pathetic and weak.

Moving over to Lucia and once more gently placing her palm to her cheek, "I promise I'll make her. Don't worry Lu."
PostPosted: Mon Jan 03, 2011 4:05 pm

Lucia's wings slowly closed as the pair, especially Cordelia, placated her slight. But her arms remained crossed and her stubborn expression did not change. She did not think it was right. Ebony would not be able to do anything. She had never proven herself capable of figuring it out.

However, the cat was not stupid. Her eyes narrowed and she took out her cell phone. Pulling up the lab's number, she handed it to Ebony. Though she would sound like Cordelia, Lucia figured it wouldn't matter. "Why don't you call and schedule an appointment." She didn't want to struggle with dragging the frei and woman to the lab. This would be her only compromise.

The sigel's eyes did not move as she stared at the frei. The stubborn look on her face said it all. You call or I will.

Cordelia frowned and let her hand drop. Maybe Ebony was only a human, but she wasn't one to cross, even now that she was so frustrated with being stuck in a body that had no legs and needed to feed on smoke rather than physical food. It made for a rather cranky Brit, one that now possessed the powers of a Raevan mind you. Powers she didn't quite understand, not that Cordelia knew any better. But still, powers all the same.

Ebony looked at the phone and then back to Lucia with a 'you've got to be kidding' expression. She sighed heavily before taking the phone and hitting dial. It was one of the longest waits she'd ever had as the phone rang and rang. Finally the Lab's machine picked up and Ebony spoke, "Ello. This is Ebony Shade. I'd like to schedule an appointment for Cordelia. Please call me back at your convenience." Ending the call and handing the phone back, "It's done. Happy now?"
