Alex had to stop for a moment when he realized that Tulip was relating all of the human made things to things out in the forest. He had never thought of that before since in his mind the human world and the wild outdoors were always two totally separate places. He shook his head to reassemble his thoughts and knew he had to give Tulip an answer. "Yes a room is kind of like a clearing, and a couch is kind of like.....kind of like a very large very firm pillow....uh....I guess it could be like a large rock you would sit on but it feels different. As if to make his point Alex led Tulip back to the small living room. They had a small couch that was fairly old and still soft. It was a dark brown color and your basic average couch that would normally fit about 4 people.
"That's a couch and people like to sit in them, sometimes they even sleep on them but its mainly for sitting and waiting. You can try it out if you like." Alex invited Tulip to try and sit on the couch, he couldn't really demonstrate how to due to the fact that he was a quadruped and she was a biped so he waited to see what she would do.

There was a tentative pause before Tulip sat carefully down on the couch. She wasn't ready for the softness of the furniture. As she sank into it a bit, she let out a surprised squeak. Her vine had loosed its grip on Alex's spine as it snapped back around her bulb. A long moment of silent, motionless staring followed as she went over what had just happened in her mind. She wondered if she should even try readjusting, or if that would just be more trouble than its worth. "Um..." she finally whispered, "I think I may be stuck..." She had a sheepish look on her face as she still sat there without moving.

Alex could not hide the amused smile on his face as he watched Tulip sink into the couch. It was interesting watching something so close to looking like a human not know how to do everyday human things. He chuckled softly before getting closer to try and help her out. He wasnt that big of a pokemon but he was able to get his front paws onto the couch and stand over near Tulip.
"Just grab on to me and steady yourself, its not that bad of a thing to be stuck in a couch. If you ver run into this problem by yourself you can always just roll off. Notice how you are not sinking any further." Alex stood and waited for Tulip to get her bearings, well at least now that she was aware of couches maybe she wouldnt embarrass herself in public when the time came. He wondered what it would be like to stand on two feet instead of four and before he could stop himself he was asking.
"So Tulip, whats it like standing on two feet after living on 4 your entire life?"

Tulip did as she was instructed, grabbing a hold of Alex before trying to remove herself from the couch. In an awkward rolling/flopping motion, she managed her was to the floor, where she sat, far happier than where she'd previously been. "Thank you, I think..." she piped, "I think I like the floor better." She'd have to work on this whole "couch" thing, especially if most humans had them and she would be socializing with them more often.
"Oh! Like, it was really hard at first," Tulip started, finding her voice again now that she was on stable ground. "For the longest time, I, like, actually had to use my vines to help me get around. You would not believe how hard it is to go from four legs to two! Actually, I've only just recently been able to walk around without my vines aiding me. I still get a little wobbly sometimes." She sounded a little ashamed at this last comment and a silence fell over her as she looked at the floor.
"But, ya know?" after a moment, she continued, "I kinda like being like this." There was a slight lilt in her voice as she spoke. "I mean, there's loads of Bulbasaurs in the world and loads of people, but how many Pokemon are there that look like this? I mean, like, I was scared at first, but the more I think about it, the happier I am about this change." She laughed, "That probably doesn't make any sense, does it?"

Alex listened as Tulip talked, his large ears twitching as they tried to catch everything. It was such a strange situation that he was trying to wrap his brain around but it just didnt make sense. He was interested in all the going from 4 legs to 2 since he knew he might eventually become a Nidoking one day and he wanted to know what it was like. It sounded hard and Alex hoped that he would be better at the transition, he did after all have to protect everything here so he couldnt afford to be clumsy.
"Well you are definitely unique now. I'm sure everyone is unique no matter what we think, but you have a point haha you are definitely noticeable now." Alex said with a smile. Of course to humans almost all pokemon looked the same but to pokemon they could see the small differences. He thought about it for a moment and wondered if it would be nice to be unique not only to his own kind but also to humans. NAH he shook the thought off, he didnt care it wasnt going to happen to him anyway.
"Is there anything else you want to see? If your tired I can take you back to the kitchen and we can finish up the tea with Kim." Alex asked, he wondered if he had overwhelmed Tulip with all the things in the house. Maybe he should have started her with one thing at a time...eh whatever its already done.

"I think I'm good for this visit," Tulip replied, sounding a little overwhelmed. "I do have a question, though. Um, what's tea? I've never heard of it before." She stood up, a little shakily at first, and straightened her clothing. She followed Alex back to the kitchen where they had left Kim.
Tulip caught a glance out of a nearby window and noticed that the sun would be going down soon. "Oh..." she started, half sad, half relieved. "...I'm going to have to head home soon..." It wasn't that she was excited to leave, she just had a lot of new things to take in today. "I do thank you for showing me around, Kim and Alex." She smiled at both in turn.
