It wasn't like it was the first time she'd "seen" Iris smile, but it certainly helped to make her feel like she'd accomplished something. Positive reenforcement did wonders, it really did. Even as things turned serious and Iris began answering her, the fact the smile had been there put Metis into a considerably brighter mood.

Still, she listened intently, nodding her head now and then as she took mental notes. She hadn't adjusted her sweep enough? More practice then, to figure out how to properly do that. Testing it in a full on fight might not work out too well... or maybe it would? Hm.

The answer to her question, though difficult, made sense as she listened. No, it wouldn't be good if someone could figure out what her "pattern" was, even if she could use it to startle someone. Better to not even give them a moment to have the upper hand. Here she pressed her knuckle to her chin, letting her mind wander over that. She didn't have long to wonder though, before she smiled again at Iris' words. However rough, the shorter senshi was growing used to it. "Just wait. Someday I won't even need to blind them before I put them in their place amongst the dirt."

Would she? Not even Metis knew, but she'd certainly like to think she'd only continue to improve her fighting ability, so why not dream a little?
