Ara playfully flicked her tail in Odi's face, then turned and loped off into the forest. She had spent quite a lot of time on the border of Cruor lands, and even in the outer fringes, and knew the area well.
Her breathing was easy as her muscles rejoiced in movement. She kept her mouth open to help catch the scents on the air, but didn't expect to find anything immediately. Deer avoided Cruor lands more often than not; she and Odi would have to travel a little to find some.

The sudden feel of Ara's tail against his face made him lock up for a moment. He was tightly wound but wasn't really expecting that. "Ara...you ever thought about joining Curor by any chance?" He asked curiously as he followed behind her. They really never talked about it but now though since Sin found out and "voiced" his opinions it made him wonder.
Odi didn't bother doing the usual tracking parts of hunting since his new mental powers allowed him to "feel" the minds of the animals around him. Ever since Curor starting to become a major tribe he started to notice animals staying away from their tribes "death" scent.

Ara slowed to a trot. Her head was down, and she was silent. Finally she looked up at Odi, her eyes unreadable. "I would have to think about it more. And there's someone I may have to talk to first."
It wouldn't be a talk she looked forward to. But pros and cons of her choice had to be considered first. It might have been she was just waiting for something to tip the balance.

Odi followed Ara carefully making sure not to get to close to her as she stalked. The sudden stop made him lock up. "Someone?" He asked a little taken aback by her statement.
She didn't talk about family but he wanted to know who this someone was. Could there be another? He'd rip their heart out...Ara not like that. he thought as he watched her.

Ara refused to meet his glance. She didn't like worrying her mate, and if she told him he would worry. Odi was too good at figuring her out, so she was decidedly not thinking about the identity of the one she had to talk to.
"Just to settle some things. Get stuff in order. You know how it is when you go through a life change, everything's all a shambles in the beginning." There was just that tiny tingle of guilt from keeping something from Odi, but Ara shoved it to the back of her mind and out of the way.

Odi stopped in his tracks after hearing his mate speaking about getting stuff in order. The thought never crossed Odi mind but did Ara have baggage that was still around?
"Yeah..." He said a frown on his face as he started behind her his eyes looking at the ground. "Ara...you know I'd do anything for you right? Even leave my tribe..." Nearing the end of his sentence his voice faltered for a moment but he tried to hide it. Leaving Curor was the equivalent of leaving a home you helped build from the ground up.

Ara stopped in her tracks. Did she hear what she thought she heard? "You'd leave Cruor? For me," she repeated weakly, almost certain she'd misheard him, needing clarification.

Odi stared at he for a moment after she had stopped in her tracks. He knew what he had just said was outright treason and Sin would of quickly had his throat for that but Odi didn't care.
"Yes...I would for you." He said nodding his head a few times the words still felt odd. "I don't care if I'd be hunted down like a traitor, as long as I have you." He said taking a few steps toward her then stopping. His mind was blank and his issue seemed to die away for the moment.

"It won't have to come to that," Ara whisper firecely. The force in her voice wasn't from anger, not really. If there was anything Ara truly despised it was having your choices being taken from you. No one should ever have to be forced to do something they didn't want to do! Ara wouldn't have been able to live with herself if Odi left Cruor simply because he thought it would please her.
Well, this just meant she'd have to have her little chat sooner rather than later. Ara looked up at Odi and tried to relax her expression into a smile. "Let's continue our hunt. We'll talk about this later, but now's not the time."
((I have a plot.....kinda. We'd have to do a little time skip for it. If you can, read the rp me and Yush have going on with Sin and Ara. It may reveal what I have in mind :3 ))

Odi tilted his head slightly as he heard Ara whisper, there was an aggression that he hadn't seen before. It was kind of like seeing a part of her he never seen. "I see..."
At seeing her attempt at a smile Odi frowned, but didn't harsh her. "Alright then, I'll follow you Ara."
((I think I get what your planning! Sure that's not a problem, time skip next post?))

Ara turned and continued running. Her face was creased in concentration. Let Odi think it was the concentration of the hunt; in reality thoughts of her future and what she was going to do swirled through her mind.
The next week found Ara wandering the Cruor borders once more. She and Odi had a successful hunt, more on his part than hers. A day after that she'd had the luck to run into the very fox she wished to talk to; Cruor Elder Sin.
The talk had gone reasonably well. She had left promising the Elder her final answer after talking it over with Odi. She'd spent the next few days mostly thinking.
Her stomach rumbled hungrily, complaining of a lack of food from that time. Ara had been too busy fretting to feel hungry, but now her body was demanding a meal whether she felt like it or not. And so she found herself poking at berry bushes, not sure if she could stomach much else until her stomach got up and running again.

Odi saw the look on her face and simply figured she was deep inot the hunt. He slowly let the feeling of uneasyness slip from his mind as he speed up into a run to keep up with her.
Odi was on patrol of the borders once again pondering why Sin had been...less hostile when his mate's name came up in a conversation. It was odd but what really made him wonder was the order to patrol, that was the scouts job.
As he made his way alone the border he paused hearing the sound of a bush moving and lowered himself to the ground tightly. He lossened up as he smelt the scent but kept his stance a playful smile crossing his face as he slowly prowled froward until he caught the sight of his mates haunches. Odi didn't know how mad she was going to be after this but he was going to get a few laughs. He leaned back on his huanches and lunged at her.

The tiniest sound of crunching grass saved her. Ara didn't have time for a proper dodge, so she dropped flat to the ground. She peered up and watched a gray belly pass over her head, and laughed a little.
Her own position was perfect for a pouch, and she tried her own launch at her mate's back.

Odi was caught off guard by the sudden maneuver of his mate. He always forgot how great her reaction time was.
As he landed on the ground he gave a sudden ungracious yip at feeling a sudden weight on his back. The forward motion caused him to fall to his belly and he didn't struggle.
"Gah, I guess I need to work on my pounce some more. Or find a slower target."

Ara laughed. She gently nipped her mate's cheek, then licked it. "That, or work on upping your own speed. You're not so heavy with muscle that you couldn't be faster than you are now."
She flopped, laying crossways on top of Odi. The memory of the conversation she wanted to bring up had returned to her mind now that the moment of fun had passed.
"Love, there's something I wanted to talk to you about."
