iCupcakeKarma Mistress Of Black Death Metallic Dark Star I think Prim's death was quite a loss.... Since Katniss saved her in the first book by volunteering and she went through all that trouble to still find her dead in the end A definite loss, yes, but i'm still confused as to how and why Prim was with the Capitol children. I think she was part of the medical team? Most likely.

Moving on to Finnick. At the end of Catching Fire, he was mentally there, strong, and vital. In this book, he is portrayed as a mentally disturbed basket case who can't even dress himself. Then, he changed in an instant by Annie's rescue and moved up to soldier status? When, after her rescue, he wouldn't even let go of her hand, he now goes into battle. A bit confusing, but I didn't want him to die cause he's funny, Collins murdered off a lot of minor characters. A lot of the deaths were rushed.

Madge also shouldn't have died. She was important to the rebellion in my point of view. In the first book, she gave Katniss the mockingjay pin that later represented it. Greasy Sae lived, but I still kind of think of her as the person that sells soup.

Both ways, it was kind of a goodbye present. Cause it was likely that Katniss was going to die in the hunger games since it was rare for someone from District 12 to win, but they don't kill off main characters in the first book

Finnick's death was the hardest thing for me. I loved that guy! He was so funny! He was my favorite character! Then he got torn to pieces by mutts and blown up. WHAT THE HECK! That mad me so mad.
And like Mistress of Black Death said, it didn't really feel like Peeta won. Gale was gone and Peeta showed up so Katniss was pretty much like, 'well I guess I choose you then'. It wasn't very romantic. I guess it doesn't have to be but I just sort of suspected that when she chose which guy she'd be with it would be more romantic you know?
And I saw that someone mentioned Bonnie and Twill. They are mentioned briefly toward the begginging. It says that Katniss asks people in district 13 about them but nobody had seen them so she assumed they'd died in the forest or something.
So ya, there's my short spiel on the book. smile
