He slowed down marginally, but not enough to deter him. the speck in the distance was getting progressively bigger as he ran further towards it. Obvious, i know, but to Rota this was a good gauge on how close to the end he was.

He significantly slowed down. he tried to stop himself, but his will was too great. he continued running, determined to reach the spot as fast as he could.

His determination followed through as he picked up speed and gained distance. he was nearing the end that he thought he would never see. he couldn't see the tail YET, but he knew he had to be getting close.

He got his second wind as he blasted through the curves of snake way at intense speeds. he was making quick work of this final stretch, which didn't bother him at all. it was time to change his scenery a bit.

He wasn't slowing much, and his speed was remaining fairly constant. he persisted, confidant he was closer to the end than 90% of attempters had ever been. he continued running, staying on his feet for as long as he could.

He was tired. he could feel it. he tried his best to ignore that particular feeling. he moved as fast as he possibly could. he would sleep when he passed out from exhaustion like he usually did.

third wind's the charm as he gained an ungodly boost of speed, propelling him through snake way like nobody's business. he was well on his way to seeing the spot up close and personal. he continued running as fast as he could, not stopping for an instant.

he slowed down considerably, but was still holding a very good pace. he ran as if the devil himself was on his heels. Rota's body was screaming with every fiber of his being to stop now, but he paid no heed. he ignored all urges to break down and sleep.

he sped up once more, to levels that made his heartbeat seem slower than a turtle stampeding though peanut butter. he continued running at this glorious pace, the end in almost sight.

His speed took a nosedive, but he maintained a descent run. he was running as fast as his force of will could take him, and beyond. the speck had grown to larger proportions, and now looked about the size of Rota's fist. he knew he had to be close. he pushed himself harder as he neared the end of his travels.

Fatigue was catching up with him. there was no telling how much longer he could keep this up, but he had to try. he kept going, never stopping for even a breath. he would get to the end of snake way, no matter what.

He could clearly see the end now. it was like a beacon of hope in serpentine tail form. with the last of his strength, made one last charge at the path, wanting this to end now. all his efforts would come to a head, right here, right now.
