Fasa gave a small quirked smile now that his vision, though slightly spotty, had returned almost completely. "I would be grateful if you would. Outside my home, my abilities are often taken advantage of..."
"When I was little, just out of my milk teeth, I started Seeing thing. At first I thought it was nothing, but they became more frequent..." He paused, realizing what he had said made little sense to those who were not a seer or knew of seers. "My father explained to me that I was a seer, and that what I was seeing were events from a different time."
"Only, very little of them related directly to me at first. Mostly the past then, but nearly always the future now. At least, I think it's the future..." He trailed off, a thoughtful look on his face.

Seer. Seeing the future.
Fenja didn’t really catch much of what Mufasa said. Her mind was glued to a few simple words that left her with her mouth open and wide opal eyes filled with disbelief. Whatever she might've been expecting... it certainly wasn't this.
“You can see the future?! Like the things that haven’t happened yet? Can you see mine?” Was he trying to be funny? She was considering jumping back to her safe comfy branch and ignoring the grey lion but he really didn’t look like a dodgy character. Still, you could never really tell… “Are you kidding me?”
And then a fear hit her. Even if such a thing was unlikely, even if the grey lion was just playing a joke on her, the mere possibility that someone could see not her future but her past, truly frightened Fenja. There were terrible things in her past that belonged to her and her alone and no one had the right to pry into them. Slowly, she stood up again, not really happy about this idea, waiting to see what Mufasa would say.

Mufasa winced at the disbelief - it didn't sound believable at all, honestly, but it was the truth. "Yes, and no. I can see things that might happen in the future, but things change. Nothing is ever set in stone with the future," he frowned, trying not to seem upset by her sudden fear. "If you wanted me to, I could tell..."
Sometimes he couldn't help it though, if the other had a particularly strong presence. Even so, he would need contact.
"Mine is more contact based. Areas or physically touching someone else," he tried to explain. He paused. "I know its not believable, but..." He sighed, shaking his head. "I... I don't really know how to explain it. I can normally control it, but being away from home... Seemed to have let my guard down..."
He loathed fear, especially when the fear was at him or his powers. "Ever Seer is different though... Cland's brother, he could only feel strong urges to go places where important events happened..."

When Mufasa said the word “contact”, Fenja gave a quick step back and her back was suddenly glued to the back of the tree. Aware that her reaction might be seen as odd – and admittedly curious about everything else the lion had said – she tried to force her body to relax and to smile again. It wasn’t easy. Her heart was thumping like she had just caught a gazelle and her breathing was difficult to keep in check.
“I don’t want to know my future.” Or you to know of my past. Her smile widened. ”After all, wouldn’t that make the journey infinitely more boring?” she actually chuckled at the little excuse.
“Are there many of these… Seers out there?” The bright lioness turned to the tree and returned to her branch, signaling that the conversation might end soon.

"Many don't. Not outside home at least. I never see much either way..." He shook his head softly, letting his old eyes close for a moment as his vision completely returned, letting them rest for a moment.
"There are probably more. I only know of one other besides myself..."

His words seemed to calm the lioness a little and at the same time they convinced Fenja that the lion truly was serious… or, at the very least, he seriously believed it. Well, she’d have to keep asking around for the Seer business. It both concerned and interested her and Fenja couldn’t decide to which one her mind was leaning towards. “Well Fasa… I’m glad you seem to be back normal.” She settled herself comfortably on the branch, opal eyes narrowing contently. “I think I’m going to return to my nap. It’s getting dark. Don’t you have some place to be?” She watched him with half-lidded eyes, lowering her head to rest on the branch.

Fasa gave a nod, stretched his body. Old bones popped as he stood, but that only made it feel all the better. "Oh, indeed," He responded, arching his back a little one last time. "I'll be on my way. Have a good nap," he gave a small nod in her direction, heading off towards the pride's lands.
At least...
At least she didn't seem to fear him as much as he thought she would. That's what mattered, right?
