Seeing nothing Tsensu turned back to face Kosheart. He looked at her with such care and laughed at what she said about seeing him flustered.. "Yeah, lets go back inside." He scanned the area one last time before turning into the den. He layed in the middle of the den and sighed. He was much happier when the sun shone, the weather always had an effect on his mood. Stretching his back he awaited Kosheart to lay beside him.

It followed him with a triumphant smirk and laid down beside him. Resting it's head on his chest it smiled at him, looking bashful and affectionate, then it leaned forward and licked his cheek. It licked and nibbled his fur, grooming him as it lay in a would be comfortable silence beside him. Slowly it was inching further down.

Soon the beast was seeing in red, and with teeth bared it bore down on him suddenly and just before sharp incisors could seek to find purchase in his throat the thunder rang out with shattering force and lightening struck, illuminating a black femme, painted with red, eyes empty and black as night, snarling viscously, ivory teeth bared.

Kosheart knew what she had to do. She rushed at Tsensu and at the last minute collided with the shadow and she followed into her attack until they hit the back wall, so she rammed the shadow wolf's body into the wall and her head made collision with it, breaking her free from the hold of darkness. Gold eyes flashed bright and she spun into the black female when it tried to take a bite out of her flank. The two of them tussled and soon Kosheart had the beast pinned, then the shadows that formed it dissipated with an angry hiss it shot up through her and her mind felt like it was on fire.

Memories she didn't have came into her mind unbidden and fear filled her... surely it couldn't be true. She fought against the war raging inside her and with an angry snarl she ran from the den. She stood in the middle of the raging storm, rain now falling heavily, pelting her like tiny needles and she raised her voice to the sky and released a long, bellowing howl and the darkness fled her and the shadows that had surrounded their den seeped away... the rain slowed into a steady drizzle and she collapsed, tired, weak and trembling.

Tsensu closed his eyes and let Kosheart pour affection on him. He layed their lifeless letting her do her work. As soon as she clamped on his throat Tsensu coughed in surprise. He took one quick glance into the face that he thought was Kosheart. It's eyes were lifeless and black. It wasn't Kosheart...All of the sudden Tsensu felt it's teeth being ripped from his throat. A flash of black flew over him, knocking It down. He took a gasp of air when It's teeth left his throat. He looked over and saw another wolf with Kosheart's markings. Looking at her attacking the imposter, he knew it was her. When the black wolf dissapeared he called out to Kosheart. "Kosh..." his voice was hoarse almost in a whisper tone, his throat had been injured, not so much when It bit him, but when It tore out of him. He saw Kosheart flee the den and run past him. He quickly got up and followed her. He stood his distance when it looked like she was having an internal conflict with the darkness. He was surprised to see mists of black surrounding the den. When Kosheart let out a strong howl she fell to the ground as the darkness fled. Tsensu ran up to her and looked over her. "...my fault.." he whimpered. Her shivering told him that she was conscious. He stood over her, with her underneath him, trying to block as much rain as he could. "I'm so sorry..." he licked her cheek repetitivly, encouraging her to come back to life.

For a moment the rain stopped hitting her and she felt the terror ebbing away very slowly. The darkness was gone now, and Tsensu was alive and he was licking her cheek. She heard his whimper and slowly opened her eyes. "No Tsen, don't apologize..." she murmured... "none of this... it's Not your fault..." she turned her head, bright gold eyes peering up at him, all of her marks present. She licked his throat gently a few times. "I was almost too late.." she whimpered softly, the terror of that moment flashing through her again. "Here, come get a drink of water.." she murmured softly, slipping slowly from beneath him, wanting to make sure he wasn't injured too badly. "I'm... okay." it was a relative term, but she wasn't in any physical pain, so it applied for the time being.

"I'm sorry this happened... the darkness... it's a sore loser." she explained softly. "It only did this because I fought it... and it knows you're special to me now... you're in danger because of me..." she whispered, laying her head on his shoulder, she nuzzled him gently. "I promise Tsensu, none of this is your fault..." she looked around the place that had seemed so sunny before and sighed. "After you take a drink we'll go inside to wait out the storm... there's something I need to tell you."

You're special to me... When he heard her say that it felt like all of his pain left him. But she said that he was in danger. And what more would she want to tell him? He was relieved to see her, the real her. He wondered how much Kosheart saw, she must be heartbroken. "I'm sorry I didn't figure out that it wasn't you. I can't believe I believed it to be you." He looked at her apoligetically. "Yes, lets get something to drink." He made it over to the source of water that they jumped into earlier and lapped it up.

She supported him as they walked towards the water... "The darkness.. is a master of deception... and you've known me barely a day... how could you have known?" she murmured softly, eyes cast down before she lowered her head to drink as well. "I don't blame you Tsensu." she whispered, licking his cheek gently. She sighed softly and rubbed against him gently. "Come on, you need to rest..." she murmured, turning back to the den, making sure he was alright as they walked.

Tsensu was about to argue with her but prevented himself from talking because of his wounded throat. He was so tired... Kosheart's touch was comforting, it made him drowsy. Approaching the edge of water he bowed his head and lapped up some water, he whined from the pain when he swallowed. Looking into her eyes he saw concern, it made him annoyed because in his mind Kosheart was the one who was hurting, hurting more then him he thought. Tsensu walked beside her into the den. He hated this place now, once before so pure was touched by darkness. Right here on the floor was where the imposter stood, seducing him, convincing him that Kosheart was cured of the posessing darkness. He layed against the wall of the den, far away from where he once layed when It...

Kosheart saw his expression and she knew he was troubled and worried it was her fault. She followed him to the back wall and she laid beside him, licking his face and neck gently, trying to soothe his discomfort. She laid a paw over his shoulder and laid her head beside it. "It's okay..." she murmured, ears back against her head, "Everything is going to be okay." some how it felt as if she was telling herself as much as she was telling him.

She was right. Everything was okay, for the moment. There was no darkness, nothing to worry about now. Even though Tsensu was still a little worried about the effects of the wound the darkness gave him. It still stung, even Kosheart's tender touch couldn't distract him from the pain. He closed his eyes and hoped for sleep, he though the only way out of the pain was sleep.

Kosheart knew the would would sting for some time, but thankfully the darkness' bite was not venomous, else their Alphess would be lying dead somewhere. She stood and left him for a few moment and she wandered towards the trees at the edge of the clearing. She began rooting around and soon found the herbs she needed. One to clean a wound, one to relieve pain and one to stimulate healing and regeneration. She had disobeyed the darkness a few too many times and had come to learn what best worked against the pain of it's bite and clawing. She took the herbs back into the den and found a hollow rock. She laid them in it and crushed them with her paw.

She added Jasmine for soothing comfort and health and peace of mind.

She took the rock bowl to him and left for a moment, returning with a leaf folded into a little pouch and she emptied the water into the mixture of herb juice and powder and it became a thick paste. She took a little on the tip of her nose and gently rubbed it over the wounds the Darkness had left him. She did this continuously until the entire wound was covered, then she nudged the bowl with the paste in it nearer the wall and she rubbed her nose in her fur to get the remnants off before returning to lay beside him, after a few minutes of waiting, giving it time to take effect she murmured, "How do you feel now?"

Tsensu didn't realize that she had left, he dosed off to the point that he wasn't aware of his surroundings. He woke to a gentle nudge by Kosheart where his wound was. It felt like she wiped something sticky and cool under his chin, it clumped to his fur around the sore. He let it remaine on his wound finding the paste soothing. He dosed off again before Kosheart spoke again. "I don't feel anything." He plainly stated. "Wait...I don't feel anything!" he realized. How did you know what to do?

She was watching him carefully, concerned and when he spoke she smiled. "Good, I'm glad it worked." when he asked how she what to do she bowed her head. "Learned from experience. You piss off the darkness you get bit." she explained softly. "I just learned a long time ago by trial and Error. I'm a healer, too, so I have a good memory when it comes to herbs." she added at the end. She licked his cheek and laid her head on his shoulder. "You should probably rest..." she said quietly. "It helps to improve the healing rate."

Tsensu never knew she was a healer. But now he learned by first hand experience. "Thank you..." He was sencere when he said it. Like any male he would say that he had a high threshold for pain, but he was grateful that she took away the pain. And she took away the pain of being lonely as well.

Kosheart told him to sleep. His reply was "Now why would I want to hide my eyes from someone so beautiful?" He laughed at the end. Them he remembered. "Hey, wasn't there something you wanted to tell me?" His eyes met her's.

He was flirting with her... The realization of it brought a feminine giggle from her before she could stop it, but then he mentioned what she'd had to tell him and she cleared her throat, averting her eyes. "Erm.. No..?" she tried. She looked outside of the den. How could she tell him she might have been violated by the Darkness in the worst way possible and may or may not have a child of her own running around out there somewhere alone? She couldn't...

Tsensu was happy to here Kosheart giggle at his flirt. It was dissapointing for Tsensu to see that smile go away so fast and replaced by nervousness. "But I could've sworn that you said you had something to tell me." He was recalling the event in his head. He read her body language and said "Is it a secret?" Maybe she was opening up to Tsensu more then she already had.
