Oh that was cute.

Still holding onto her elbows, the skinwalker stared at the girl practically in his arms, pawing at him clumsily in the animalistic, definitely-not-sexual-way, his eyes flicking a few times from the surrounding area to her and back to the surrounding area, trying to figure out what it was she wanted. It took a few minutes of back and forthing, much longer than he really would have liked, but in his defense he had no idea what a gorgeous girl like Shehk would want that'd be sitting out in a field. All he could see was trees, trees and dead grass... a hawk in the distance... and a squirrel. And she wouldn't want any of these things, would she? He couldn't imagine she would. And yet she clearly wanted something out there -- he'd seen her stare at it. Like... she was doing... right now. To him.

...

What pretty eyes she had...

It was actually the fervent 'IT' that prompted his brain to connect the dots, her eyes leaving his just about the point where his own gold ones lifted to the squirrel, who seemed to be getting increasingly nervous, all things considered. The squirrel. She wanted the squirrel? She'd get the squirrel. He didn't care why -- she could want him to use its pelt to turn into one and do a dance for all he cared, she was getting that jacking squirrel. As if her fevered 'wantwantwantwant' hadn't been enough of a clue, her tail was starting to wag back and forth in a frantic motion, enough to more than display her want to anyone within visible distance.

Only problem was, the squirrel was certainly not blind. It could see two creatures looking at it, both bearing slight resemblance to things that were a very big DONOTWANT for it, and one which was displaying a very clear 'I want you' vibe. And of course, the squirrel, not being dumb, decided to make a break for it. And for a moment, both creatures just stared, in mild disbelief, as if they could not understand that it was, in fact, getting away.

"MOVE!"

Nuk's growl was two seconds too late -- Shehk was already off running, her long (beautiful) human-ish legs surprisingly strong as she took off through the dead grass after it. Strong as they were, however, they were no match for a squirrel's four legs, and as the skinwalker took off running after her he quickly realized she was too in 'want' mode to realize she should change. Well, he wasn't sure she could change, (he didn't actually really know what she was,) but he was pretty damn sure. And if she couldn't, well... he'd just have to get it for her.

"SHEHK, CHANGE! SHIFT!"

The words were barely out of his mouth before his own body started to twist shape mid-stride, the hands becoming paws before they'd even touched the ground.
PostPosted: Sat Sep 18, 2010 8:49 pm

Change? Shift? CHANGE!! OH JACK-ON-A-STICK! Shehk seemed to suddenly have that little thought shoved into her head that YES, she did actually have four legs in all reality and it would probably be more beneficial for her to be in that body rather than her silly two-legged one.

It was with a somewhat disgusting 'snap' that her own body warped and exploded into fur, all four legs hitting the ground at once. She took a moment to shake out her body, reassess where her legs were, before she went bounding off again. God that wind-resistance felt nice when it blew through her fur. Hell, it felt nice just to have fur in general. Just the way she ran had an extra bound of joy in it.

However, despite her joy, it seemed that she still was a little bit behind that SQUIRREL AUGH, WANTWANTWANTWANNNTTTTTTTT. But she was also working at hyperdrive, nearly on the damn things tail before it ducked into some little burrow underground.

Did squirrels burrow?

Shehk had no idea, but the squirrel had probably had least had half a mind that it would be easier to survive down there. Shehk, on the other hand, had attempted to pursue it with one leg, shoving it down the hole in an attempt to grab it.

And then yelped, yanking her leg right back out!

It bit me!! she seemed to protest, her eyes (which now glowed eerily, little lights inside of their sockets) now looking towards... towards..? Aroo?

She took a minute to pad back over to Nuk, shoving what would have been her nose, if it her skull hadn't been exposed in it's stead, into his fur to sniff. Sniffsniffsniff...

hmm. He smelt funny, but it was familiar enoug-....

SQUIRREL!!!!

The squirrel had poked it's head out when Shehk had moved away, looking around and then pausing to stare in horror at the two beasts staring back at it.

...
....

Want.

Oh well she was very pretty indeed. It was with interest that Nuk watched the Pricolici transform, silver fur taking the place of undead flesh. The only fur-less patched seemed to be on her muzzle, where the flesh had been stripped away, leaving a dry strip of bone from about halfway down to the tip of where her nose would have been, distinguishing her from another wolf. This made the skinwalker irrationally happy, his tail wagging back and forth a few times discretely as he followed Shehk on her chase. His own hollowed-out eye sockets alternated between the squirrel and the girl in front of him. This was it. The thrill of the hunt. Normally, it was he who was in front, allowing veryvery few to lead the charge, if he hunted with others at all. But it was Shehk's chase, and Shehk's prey, so Nuk stayed back behind her as backup, at her beck and call.

Besides... she was also really cute. That definitely helped.

The squirrel, however, didn't seem too keen to be hunted, and the moment it was given the opportunity, vanished entirely from view, leaving Shehk devastated. Nuk slowed his run to trot, then finally to a walk, watching her try to fish it out with her paw, sitting back on his haunches a good few feet away, black furry ears swiveled towards her attentively. Cocking his head, his fur-less skull gave an almost quizzical response to hers, as if to say 'What now?' Indeed, what did they do now? With the squirrel safely underground, it seemed their chase had ended, with much disappointment on both sides. Or it was, until Shehk looked back at him. Watching her pad back towards him, he tilted his head down to stare as she buried her nose into his chestfluff, his tail starting to thump against the ground again.

Of course, it stopped immediately as the squirrel resurfaced, both sets of eyes snapping up as their brains went SQUIRREL.
PostPosted: Fri Sep 24, 2010 11:15 pm

There was this pause in which the squirrel seemed to evaluate it's options, looking at the canine staring back at it with all cylinders firing on SQUIRREL, then towards the trees it had been taking to before it had ducked for cover, and then ultimately descending back down the hole. It was a very sad end to the chase, Shehk padding back over to the hole to sniff down with her bone-y once-a-nose to sniff after it (any squirrel nibbling ineffective against the nerveless surface), before cautiously pawing at the hole with one foot.

....
.....

LANTERN!

It was almost hilarious how quickly she seemed to recall that she had another extra bonus to being in her real body; DIGGING!! And oh was she not the digging champion of the year. Nosirree. She certainly had the passion for it, but it was all mess, no style. Which was how the squirrel had gotten away from her yet again. Slipping up over one paw, it had escaped around her, Shehk following it with her teeth to snap at it. Or rather, to follow her tail for a few rotations before realizing it was not the squirrel that had made it's mad dash for freedom back towards Nuk, scampering like a little rodent trying to live!

Unfortunately that put Pricolici right on it's tail.

GetitGetitGetitGetit!!!!! she barked (quite literally) after the scampering creature. Ohh man, was it in Nuk's ballpark right then. READY, CATCH?

Possible. It would have been sort of embarrassing if someone walked by to see TWO students failing at catching one non-monstrous squirrel.

Time seemed to stand still as the two stared at it, three bodies tense as the air crackled with tension, waiting for someone to make the first move. It was kind of sad that the two canines didn't make the connection that they should move. You know, while the squirrel was out and visible. But they didn't -- it took their prey descending back into the burrow for either one of them to move, and in the end it was Shehk who dived back at the hole, her chase continued. She was a determined one, this girl. Nuk, however, merely sat where he was, already having determined the chase over. There was no way she could get it, not with it underground like that. Not...

... oh. Well, ok, digging worked. Still, it wouldn't actually get the squirrel to come out, would it?

Apparently it would.

It was impossible for Nuk's eyes to widen, since his wolf-face was rather devoid of eyeballs, but anyone would be hard-pressed not to say that he didn't try and, to a degree succeed, to look completely surprised as the squirrel leaped out of the now-destroyed hole, making a mad dash away from Shehk. Of course, in its panic, the poor thing was heading in entirely the wrong direction. The skinwalker was up in a second, his ears perking at the barks coming from the Pricolici, hollow gaze clearly focused on their prey. Oh he'd get it. Come to me, lunch. Crouching down a bit, Nuk opened his mouth wide, and by the time the squirrel knew what was happening, it was too late. Razor sharp teeth came snapping down upon it like a trap, and with a large 'crunch,' the squirrel went limp.

Victory!

Lifting his head, Nuk practically skipped back to Shehk, setting it down in front of her and sitting down again, his tail wagging triumphantly. It was amazing what a simple squirrel could do to two dignified students.

Shehk had practically tripped over herself to halt when Nuk descended upon the squirrel (to prevent crashing), taking a nice few patches of grass up with her as she did, sitting up as straight as possible and seeming ever so intense with how she watched the skinwalker as he toted about his prize. Squirrelsquirrelsquirrel. She was almost hilariously hardwired, mentally, like a dog when it came to some things, like the squirrel... which was offerred.

Oh be still her non-beating heart.

Shehk's tail thumped against the ground like no disney-rabbit with a twitchy-foot could ever dare to rival. Thumpthumpthumpthump!!!

Before she completely descended upon the squirrel, however, she lept to her paws, bumping her head against Nuk's chest, slobbering over his nose with dog-kisses, and -then- turning her attention upon her gift.

CRUNCH SNARF

Her eating habits weren't the most dignified either, going straight for the carcass's head and crunching down on it without even considering that the skull would be an obstacle. It was like a dog-treat to chew on.. give or take how she immediately pulled it all the pieces.

Om nom nom.

Thumpthumpthump.

It was all worth it, every second. So totally worth it to see her reaction at the end, just after he had let the squirrel's broken form slip from his jaws to the ground in front of her. Nuk looked immensely pleased as her tail began thudding against the ground at a rapid pace, setting at ease the small part of him that had been worried she'd be mad that he had essentially taken her kill, despite how he had taken it only so he could present her with this small gift. It seemed, however, that it at all paid off, and his muscles relaxed under the midnight fur, the wolf-skull somehow managing to look like it was grinning, despite not having the ability. But if he thought that he was happy before, he was thrilled a few moments after that -- watching in bewilderment as Shehk got up, his own tail began drumming madly as she bumped his chest with her head, licking over his muzzle before returning to the squirrel. In fact, every muscle in his body tensed, and as soon as she had moved away he jumped up like a jack in the box, leaping up on his hind legs and giving a howl of victory.

By the time gravity took his course and had pulled him back towards the ground, Nuk had transformed back into his human shape, sitting in a crouched position on the balls of his feet, oddly reminiscent of the canine form he had just left. Gold eyes had returned, giving off a faint glow as he watched the Pricolici eat, obviously unbothered by her eating habits. His were no better -- in fact, they were likely worse, since he ate like an animal even when he wasn't one -- so he was in no position to judge even if he had the inclination. It was only after she was completely finished that he spoke up, grinning broadly.

"You wanna go to the Masque with me?"

After she'd finally managed to get that skull to give in to her back-most teeth (which was satisfying with the crunch and the new spray of juices, yom!), it seemed the biggest task she needed her canine-teeth (literal canine teeth..) for was over with, allowing her to take her own moment to (while still chewing) twist her body back into that more humanoid shape, sitting in the grass while lamely swallowing the remains of the head that she'd just broken to pieces in her mouth.

However, It seemed that her post-meal conversation was an interesting one to be had, licking at a piece of fur that was still lodged in her teeth (it was like spinach, that stuff, always stuck where it shouldn't be) to dislodge it, chewing on it idly while pondering the question she'd been posed.

The Masque... oh.. that was a monster-thing, wasn't it? Well, a monster-sector-thing. It would definitely be attracting EVERYBODY IN TOWN to head out to it.

"That's a definite possibility, I'd imagine." she answered, attempting to backpedal the fact that upon being given a squirrel she'd practically thrown herself at him in joy. NOPE, SHE WASN'T BOUGHT BY SQUIRRELS. EVER.

"Though I don't think I ever caught your name." she added, looking at her hands to ponder cleaning them off, before settling on the most delicate of cleaning metho-.. she just wiped 'em off on her pants. Eh, it was as effective as anything, for sure. But with that out of the way, she was at least enabled to get up again.

Mayyybe it was time to get away from the mess they'd (she'd..) made of the landscaping in going after a squirrel. Then again, would anybody in the undead dorms care?

If Nuk was any other kind of shifter but a skinwalker, the tip of his black wolf tail would have been thumping against the dead grass. As it was, however, in the form he was in it just sat there limp and lifeless, despite how he was practically grinning ear to ear, showing off rows of threatening, pointed teeth as he watched Shehk finish off the squirrel offering.

"Great. I'll pick you up around eight," he replied with a smug tone, watching as she started to get up and starting to do the same himself. Straightening, he reached up to pull the wolf pelt a little higher on his shoulders, rolling them a bit as if trying to get his muscles re-adjusted to his human form. Really, though, it was just a cocky move, in case Shehk was watching. He was particularly proud of his human form as well as his animal ones -- it came with spending quite a bit of time on the football field.

Flicking his gaze back to the silver haired girl, Nuk offered her one last smirk, leaning in close and licking a drop of squirrel blood from her cheek as if it were the most common gesture in the world before pulling back, already starting to walk backward back towards the monster dorms.

"And the name's Nuk. Nukpana," he replied, a hint of a laugh in his voice. "See ya around... Shehk."

Shoving his hands back in his pockets, he turned fully around, heading back the way they had come, in a far better mood than when they'd started.

Ah- She hadn't agreed to anything, yet there he was, insisting that she had, her ears drooping and frowning most...frownily at him. When had she even agreed to like the guy?? Then again, she had let him walk her back to her building.. and it wasn't like he was inviting himself into the dorms.

Yet.

Either way, she froze up juuuust a little bit when the skinwalker leaned in and licked her cheek, her ears flicking back and the frown she'd already started seeming to get a little bit more settled on her expression. Yeah, that had been a liiiitttttllleee bit too close for comfort, but hey, at least she'd had a name to go with it.

And..

she guessed it was OK. But she waited until he'd taken his own leave to look at the mess she'd made of the lawn before coughing into her hand and jogging over to the dorm door to head inside so she could camp in her room. Yet there was a momentary pause to glance back over her shoulder to make sure the skinwalker wasn't following her in secret.

Hmm...

she'd need to invest in a diary for all of these strange things happening at school. But that was for later.
