"I thank you for your kind welcome," she said, shifting the majority of her weight to one foot and angling her head to a side. She considered the logic that would warrant the increased security, and she could understand it well enough. It did not, however, make the idea any more favorable.
"With what frequency could one expect to be assigned missions? I find traveling to be quite pleasant, and I would like to engage in the activity more often if at all possible..." Bearing in mind, of course, that it was a criminal organization, not a tourism agency. Her thoughts could not help but wander, though.

"Well, from what I understand, you have a while to go before you're granted rank to go on missions. once your initial training is finished..." she looked thoughtful for a moment, considering the question anyway. "I might be the wrong person to ask, I haven't been on a mission since my first, and what was quite a while ago. I would say close to every months though, depending on what is needed." She couldn't blame the other rocket for being anxious about missions, Faleen knew that she was when she joined, that had been quickly tempered, putting into perspective just how inexperienced she was, how much she had to learn.
reaching up to brush her hair from her face, freeing her view of the girl from any wild strands. "you like traveling then? well... want me to show you around a bit? There is some place I wouldn't mind checking out, especially in this darkness"

She hummed in quiet thought, "I could have expected as much. Pity they could not be more abundant." She was growing restless enough as it was. The training activities seemed as child's play compared to some of the operations she had organized in the past, and while her instructors were catching on to her impatience and revising her exercises accordingly, the idea that they were "lessons" and "training" drained all thrill from the assignments.
The woman's suggestion caught Aila's interest; she was always eager to learn more about her surroundings. "Certainly," she assented, "if it would not trouble you."

Faleen gave her a weak, almost sympathetic grin. This one certainly did seem eager, it was good to see. Someone on track, and ready to work, especially with being so new, she didn’t seem nervous at all about being brand new to an organization like Team Rocket, Faleen was going to be interested in seeing what this girl was going to do for Rocket. Her awkward grin slowly turned into a truer smile, reaching a hand up to brush a gloved hand over her shoulder, knocking lose some of the grains of sand that had blown onto her. “Oh not at all, It’s far from my bed time, and I’ve the feeling my Pokemon could use a chance to spend time in the darkness” tilting her head a little, peering down at her Umbreon, how had turned his head up to look back up at her with his large eyes. The grunt lifted her hand, in a light gesture to the trainee “is there a certain time you are required to be back?” She asked, heading back toward the base instead of further into the desert as she asked this.

Aila's curiosity was piqued as they proceeded back in the direction of headquarters. Knowing it was that much closer to her place of residence, she anticipated the reveal of their destination all the more.
She inclined her head slightly at the question. "No, I was dismissed for the evening. I was, however, warned of an early morning." She was used to irregular sleep schedules as a result of her previous "occupation," but she felt no need to disseminate such information so readily. A passing glance at Fleur, though, suggested that the grass pokemon was already becoming quite drowsy. Aila would let her continue a while longer before returning her to her pokeball for rest, she decided.

“I understand, a lot of us have pretty early mornings, and I remember how training was. We won’t be out to late” she reassured, with a look to meet her eyes as she spoke to her.
Faleen lead the trainee and other Pokémon to one of the sides of the buildings where the garage seemed to be. pausing as she walked over to the wall, using the little key pad to get the garage open, not waiting till it was all the way open before she ducked down underneath, continuing into the lit room, eyes narrowing slightly against the sudden light. Boots thudding lightly on the pavement as she made her way through the rows of vehicles, all the way to the farthest wall, where she pulled one of the Rockets working there’s attention. She talked quietly, politely, the other Grunt didn’t seem to be paying much mind only handing her a pad that she signed, then giving her a set of keys. It wasn’t long before Faleen was making her way back, glancing around for the SUV she signed out for the night. “Hope you don’t mind a bit of a drive.” She said, looking over to the other girl.
Finding the car she needed, Faleen unlocked the doors, opening the driver’s side and getting in.

Aila watched in curiosity as Faleen solicited the vehicle's use. That was surprising; she had fully expected that this place the woman sought would be right near the base. She followed quietly to the car, climbing in at her companion's signal.
The girl was somewhat startled to realize that this was the first she had ridden in an automobile. She restrained a swelling sense of excitement as they lurched forward and prepared to depart.

Letting her Pokemon hop over her lap and move toward the back seat, Faleen looked over at Alia once her door was closed to make sure that she was buckled up.
That delightful Roar of the engine filled the room for a moment when Faleen turned the key, smiling when she heard the mechanics working and felt the rumbling in her hands and under her feet. Placing her foot on the gas, and quickly shifting the car into drive. she easily pulled out of the garage, and into the darkness. letting out a soft, content breath, leaning back in the seat, eyes on the land outside the windshield. "There is this ruin of a town to the west of the desert. The inhabitant are few, mostly just ghost and psychic pokemon wandering around the empty buildings. The silence there is complete, and the scenery at night is quite an experience. People still live there, but with how this place feels, you wouldn't guess it."

Fleur settled into Aila's lap with every intent to briefly rest her eyes, but she was sound asleep within moments. The girl stared at her pokemon for a time, absorbing the warmth her body emanated, until she began to suffer from a slight feeling of illness. She turned her gaze instead to the landscape ahead, and the sensation waned.
The description of their destination seized Aila's interest. She had learned of the ruined town of which Faleen spoke through news reports regarding its state. It had once been quite prosperous, she had learned, and had declined suddenly and inexplicably. Passingly she wondered if it had nothing to do with the proximity of headquarters.
"It sounds a marvelous sight," she commented. Ghost, psychic, and dark pokemon, she found, were frequently among her favorites. They exuded a certain elegance and refinement that most other types seemed to lack. "I should thank you that you would permit my presence in company to such a place."

"I certainly think it is, it gets my dark types out for some easy battles to." Faleen didn't care for Psychic types at all, then again it wasn't so far off from how she felt about all other types but dark, they just didn't interest her. Sliding her hand over the steering wheel, fingers curling and uncurling around the soft plastic. "Its my pleasure, I'm glad to have company to be honest, this late at night" she smiled, looking away from the desert ahead to glance over at Alia. "You looked like you would use an evening away. I know how it gets sometimes"
Umbreon had moved himself toward the front, sitting himself between the two front seats, glancing from his master to the younger girl quietly. While Absol was more interested in the side window, peering out at the landscape zipping by.

Aila's eyes swiveled to meet Faleen's only momentarily; she found the constant motion and vibration disconcerting, and while she was able to lessen the sensations through stillness and concentration, the slightest lowering of her guard allowed the motion sickness to set upon her with a renewed intensity.
"The prospective change of scenery is a welcome relief," she admitted rigidly. "I find the trainee dorms to be suitable for neither study nor introspection, and a retreat to a quieter place is certainly appreciated." A largely rowdy lot, the other trainees. Aila had spied a few that seemed to behave within the acceptable limitations of a pleasant human beings, but they were so vastly outnumbered by their less savory counterparts.

She raised her eyebrows, looking back to the sand, "Ah yes, well, sadly the Grunt dorm's aren't really much better" The Grunt fell quiet for a moment, relaxed in the drivers seat. "I hope you don't mind me asking a bit of a personal question? how did you find your way into our team?"
That was part of what Faleen wanted to know, but since she just met this girl, she felt it wasn't her place to ask some of the more personal questions, Faleen knew that those were questions she wouldn't want to answer herself if someone decided to ask them. But the way this girl spoke, in such a dignified, noble manor, Faleen couldn't help but be curious.

Magnificent, Aila mused, the word dripping with sarcasm even in her own mind. She was looking forward to her eventual promotion already.
She considered the question with a hum. She considered herself fortunate that she had not yet encountered anyone that would remember her from the museum - she imagined the possibility that the few she had seen in that room would regard her as an enemy, and enemies was not a relationship that interested her. It stood to be discovered how Faleen would react upon knowing of her involvement in the theft of the Blue Orb.
"Do you know of the robbery that took place at the Jinko Museum?"
She had nothing to lose in volunteering such information, she decided.

"um..." she took a moment to scan over her memories, "...Vaguely" she replied. "I remember hearing that there was a raid, but I haven't heard details" she explained. lately at the raids have been kept pretty quiet before they happen, and afterward, depending on who you talk to or over hear. Faleen hadn't heard much at all from the recent Raid... heck she hadn't even known there was a raid. she waited for Alia to continue.

So she was not biased by preconceived notions or overheard recounts. That much bade well.
"There was a certain artifact this organization sought. I sought it as well. Our paths crossed, and I failed in my objective. Apparently I performed well enough, however, to incite a mild interest in one of the superiors present."
She shifted slightly, closing her eyes against a passing spell of dizziness. Cars, she concluded, were evil.
