To delete my previous post may be construed as tampering with evidence, so I will now post this:

The prosecution hereby drops the charge of Conspiracy against the Mercenary League. The trial will now focus on the punishment of Typo_Negativ for the crimes to which she has already pled guilty.

The punishment the prosecution pushes for is: permanent fixture of rank at Private and one month suspension.

[][]This is off the record, if I may, but Gear, I already explained how Suicide would have gotten those notes. The entire conversation was posted in the guild immediately after we finished it. I know for a fact that it is the only place he could have gotten it, unless you yourself sent it to him, because it most certainly did not come from me. However, considering that there is no way of proving that his join request came before the thread (especially since Nero is the only person who actually saw the request, if I'm not mistaken), the point is moot.

As well, I joined Corruption IMMEDIATELY after leaving this guild, because I knew the mods were going to ban my account. If they saw ties between me and those guilds, there would be some sort of repercussions. As it stands, 3 of Suicide's guilds were taken down by the admins that week, and to this day are closed down.

As well, I didn't sabotage the guild. There would have had to have been some work or production here for me to interfere with, and there wasn't any.

I say this, not in my own defense for the sake of the trial, but for your sake. Just because you want to believe I was working with him doesn't mean that I was. Instead of fitting your truth into what few pieces of evidence you have, you should be trying to find the truth through that evidence. The truth will always reveal itself. But, you're not going to notice it if you're so determined to believe the lies.[][]

The Defendant's final Statements (as allowed per the order of events in the Department of Criminal Justice):

Ladies and Gentleman of the Jury, Judge, and all others present in the courtroom today;

I am more than willing to accept any punishment bestowed upon me. I take full responsibility for the actions I took nearly a year ago. But, ask yourselves this, before deciding on a final punishment: What will it accomplish? Had it been just yesterday that these things were done, it might have taught me some sort of lesson. However, I wasn't in the guild for far more than a month before joining up on this account. Any suspension of my account from the guild would serve only as an inconvenience more than anything. As it stands, there is nothing that I can do to bring harm to this place, even if I wanted to. When Gear put my case in the hands of the Gaia Moderators, I received punishment through them. No suspension or demotion could possibly be worse than spending so much time here in secret, or hearing the words of people who once called me friend who now distrust me. Just like with any punishment, I brought this upon myself, and from it have learned a lesson: It wasn't worth it.

All that I am asking is that, whatever sentence you choose, please make sure that it will be something that will teach me a lesson. Because, otherwise, it is just a waste of time.

Actually, because this was a two-pronged trial, we've skipped a lot of ground, but I am ready to deliver a final statement anyway.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury, the professed meaning of a judgment or punishment is not what we are determing here. Just because a killer wants to go to prison or be put on death row doesn't mean we won't. Therefore, I continue to say that the punishment listed above will be the best to help make up for the atrocities the defendant has performed. Remember the honor of the Mercenary League, and remember that we are more than a group, we are a family. And remember that those who pretend to be one of us in an attempt to destroy us deserve no mercy from us.

The courtroom is considered adjourned for a duration of one day to one week while the Jury deliberates on the proceedings of the trial.

Members of the jury, please proceed to the deliberation room and discuss the evidence so that a final verdict and punishment may be reached.

The jury reached a verdict (more or less).

With three in favor and three abstaining, the court hereby sentences the defendant to a permanent freeze of rank at Sergeant.

This concludes the trial.
