Sitting on the ground in kitsune form he waited as the snake boy changed back into his human form.
"And if i could convince myself you were worth torching, i would." Remi said slipping back into his human form adjusting the skull pin on his scarf. "But i would rather NOT like the smell of burnt snake, too crunchy for my own tastes." Though, to make a point even though he said he wouldnt... with a snap of his fingers their was a smell of something burning.
And it was coming from Pachua's tail.

"MY TAIL!!!" wailed Pachua and scrabbled to snatch up a handful of feathers and tried to beat them out as they singed, blackened and curled. Fortunately the feathers weren't a total loss, but they did look most tragically -laughable- rather than terrifying or fine plumage.
He turned a bright scowl at the Kitsune and gritted his teeth.
"HMPH" he said... "Well? Are you still mentoring me then?" he demanded.

"Depends on you." He looked down, once again the taller being, and crossed his arms. His blue ears flicked forward in a mocking manner. "s**t happens, people get burned or squeezed, its our nature."
"....BUT."
"Remember once your taking this offering, this doesn't hurt you at all. This is a damn offer to help you, i would have your back, i would be there if i could. Im sticking my own neck and reputation out for you." His eyes narrowed. "So what c**k size display just now didn't really help your case. Yeah it proved your strong and able, but really. That's no real way to prove you want my help."

Pachua's eyes narrowed and he folded his arms and his tongue flickered between his lips for a momet as he stared considering and scowling.
He sniffed shortly
"Teachers learn from thier students too... and," he glanced Remi over and humped. "I could use the ... 'help'... from someone with a simiar problem of appearing too human. So... Yes...I'll accept your help."

"We dont look as human as some others do." His searching gaze flicked over him. "From one shape shifter to another, you look less human than i do." There was no way to hide those scales, then again why hide them? In this school they had to appear similar just so they could all be on equal terms and not have animals and mermaids dragging themselves everywhere.
"Never said i wouldn't learn from you, afterall this 'mentor' thing is new to me too. But i know what its like to go through your first year not having one." There was a undertone there, but it was so subtle unless he paid attention he wouldn't catch it.
Reaching out a hand to shake, he waited for the snake to take his too. "By the way, names Remi. Do we have a deal?"

"Pachua..." he said and took the offered hand carefully. "And deal... " "And scales or not, scales can be faked, your ears can't..." he humphed. "It doesn't matter though, one way or another I plan to learn some serious scare"

"Says the boy with the chicken growing out of his butt." Remi retorted with a sly grin, flicking his ears in a semi taunting manner. Remi grasped Pachua's hand and shook it once. "Done." He would not give Pachua his emblem just yet, true he would be there for the punk if he needed him but the kitsune wanted to get to know the snake a little more first. "Well that is what we are here for, hmm? Your in the right place to learn some spooks. Make sure to take as many classes as you can."
