Chev watched her laugh and smile. "So how did you get kicked out of your last home?" He asked perplexed, not many would kick a Shakaiyo out. He figured she must have done something horrible.
He walked up to her and pawed at her check, "You missed a spot."

Koi shrugged nonchalantly, even though it was still a little painful to think of her last cave. It had been her home for her entire adult life until, "A bear decided that it was going to hibernate in there. I came home from fishing and there it was...asleep. I decided not to hang around until it woke up again."
She looked up at Cheveyo when he neared her and blushed when he touched her cheek. "Oh, um...th-thank you." she said, not entirely knowing what to say at the moment.

Chev watched the shrug and knew it pained her some, so he placed his tail along her back. "It will be fine now. Smart move though."
He smiled as she blushed. "It was my pleasure."

Koi blinked up at Chev in slight confusion, not entirely sure why he put his tail across her back. She also didn't quite understand why she felt a floaty feeling in the pit of her stomach when he did it either. "Uh, um. Thank you...I did find my new cave, so every thing is fine now." She said, still looking a little uncertainty up at Chev.

"Are you sure nothing went into your cave while you swam?" Chev realized that his tail was still along her back, but she hadn't moved away, so he figured it was alright and left it there.
He felt a little shy around her. His heart seemed to beat faster when he looked at her, but he couldn't understand the reason.

Koi startled back from her contemplation on why she felt what she felt and started to panic. "W-well, it..it's Spring. And...and nothing's hibernate.... My CAVE!" She said, going into a full blown panic attack and rushing back towards her cave.
She dodged trees and neatly sailed over small bushes before coming to her empty, and completely untouched cave. Sides heaving, she nosed around but didn't smell any intruders.

Chev followed her. She was fast, but not fast enough to lose him as she dodged trees and bushes. He watched her stop, and he slowed down as she nosed through everything.
As he walked up, "Well that was a fun chase. So this is your cave huh?" Looked around the area, "Pretty nice spot. By the way, I didn't mean to frighten you."

Koi spun around in surprise, having completely forgotten that Chev was there and could have easily followed her. She wanted to bristle again, defending her home and her space, but at the same time...he hadn't really done anything but be nice to her. Well...there were the insults, but she saw partially to blame for that little interlude.
She watched him explore the perimeter and nodded at his question. "Yes, this is my cave. Sorry for running like a jackrabbit, but I'm still a little jumpy about my home." She said, blushing a little. "W-would you like to come in?"

He chuckled softly at her surprise. "If you feel better outside, we can relax here." He was unsure of what might happen if he followed her into the cave, the chase had raised his heart rate some. Plus seeing her blushing gave him a tingly feeling in his belly. Chev was unaccustomed to these feelings and wanted the open air to clear his mind.

"Oh, okay. Well, if we go up that path," She said, indicating a path that wrapped it's way around her cave, "there's a very nice look out point. It over looks the lake. We can go up there, if you want...it's really pretty." She smiled, relaxing when he didn't immediately impede upon her space.

Chev smiled, he seen her relax at his idea to stay outside. "Lead the way, pretty lady." He mentally shook his head at what he said. Why am I acting like such a fool around her? The spot she said sounded very pretty and he was ready to relax after that run.

Koi turned red at being called pretty, she'd never actually had anyone tell her that before. "U-um okay. It's this way." She said, leading the way up a tight, winding path that curved around the back of her cave and went up to a grassy knoll. At the very edge there were two trees and between the trees was a beautiful view of the lake they had gotten breakfast from. "See?" she said rather shyly. "It's very pretty."

Chev followed her up the path and was amazed at the sight before him. Besides the sun reflecting off the lake and the trees, the sun shone just right behind Koi and his heart almost stopped. He gasped at the sight and stumbled the last steps to stand next to her. His eyes still on her, he said, "Yes, it is very pretty."

Koi beamed at the view, glad she was able to show Chev something special to her. She hadn't brought anyone else up here, ever. She turned to say something to Chev, but realized that he had barely looked out at the view and was watching her instead. She blushed again and noticed that he looked wonderful with the sun beating off the purple of his fur. She smiled softly and shyly at him.
"Thanks. You should...stay with me...up here. For a little while." She had no idea what she was saying or even if it made sense. "It's pretty." She reiterated, this time not talking about the view either.

His heart thudded in his chest. Did she say what I think she did? He smiled at her. "Are you sure you want me to stay with you?" Chev didn't want to be intruding, but she didn't seem to mind having him there now.
He walked up next to her to look out, his shoulder just touching hers, but he was still looking at her.
