Now onto the movie. This is just my opinion of course but...basically, I think the movie was a big disappointment. Um, that guy, Enis? The blonde ((I think he was blonde >.>;; )) wasn't even cute. Not even slightly. Sorry to any fans but... Throughout the entire movie, they spoke mumbled with this horrible accent that leaves you totally confuse anytime conversation happens. Which in turns makes the actions weird because you are left wondering "why the hell are they doing this" etc etc. And it moves too fast, but I guess they had to, since the movie was kinda short. I didnt like it when I saw it at first. I dont think Heath Ledger isnt -not- cute, but yeah, shoulda been hotter... and also not looked like he had gumballs in both cheeks. The accents were hard to work with at first too.
But it was when I got home my mind wandered back to the film (
xd not dirtily) and I think I found my appreciation for it. I loved the subtlety of so much in it. I didnt cry in the movie, I didnt even want to. But its when I got home that I felt "hey. I wanna cry about that now." I didnt but I wanted to.
Brokeback Mountain is a beautiful film I think pretty much anyone should see. I dont think its a "gay cowboy movie" at all, but one about love and the gay theme was just there to emphasise how strongly socieies values can affect us. Ennis and Jack loved eachother, but were unable to really
do anything (omg, dirty minded freaks) because of societies perceptions. This is all open to interpertation, but thats mine. *waves "love not gay film" banner*
Its also hilarius if you watch it with a friend and keep adlibbing in lines.
Just a closing thought on the film - but was it just me, or did everyone keep pronouncing Ennis, a**s?
