Fyglia nodded in agreement with the skinwalker-kalona. "We shall hunt and come back to reasonable place to speak more of who we are, yes?" She said with a wicked grin as her wings flared open. She flapped her large wings until she was off the ground. She looked down at the stallion then headed for the thick forests. She had a feeling that the deer would be grazing at this time of day.

"Agreed," Megapi hissed. With a running start, he clawed his way into the air, the mountain wind once more ruffling his wolf fur. His heart was beating fast, either with excitement, worry, or fear Megapi did not know. Following the mare's lead, he turned on his wing to follow her towards the dark forests below. The scent of deer was faint, rising up from below on the thermals. Unsuspecting beasts. They would be demurely eating, confident that nothing could happen to them.
Deer. That's what we will be hunting after this. I must remember that. The creatures who call themselves horses are no different from deer. They are meant to be hunted. Fyglia and I...we are just being what we are. Hunters. Meant to kill.

Fyglia soared past the thickly knit trees and vegetation. The scent of deer filled her nostrils as she got closer, and closer to a small herd of them. She landed slowly by some tall bushes and thick trees. She peered from inside the greenery as her tongue flickered in the air. She leaped out from the bushes, chasing after a doe and her offspring. She managed to capture a faun, but was hoping for something a bit bigger. She hissed as a Buck came charging at her. Dropping the carcauss, she attacked the bigger deer.
"Stand in my way and be damned like the rest of them..." She snarled as she bit down into the deer's hindquarters. She used her tail to knock him over then landed the grip upon his neck, choking him until death came.

Megapi pulled into a dive as the deer came in sight. He was, by no means, a bird of prey, but he was satisfied with his speed as he came down towards a doe, the faun of which Fyglia was hunting. Just as the hapless female thought she had gotten away, Megapi landed heavily on her back, snapping her spine cleanly. Delivering a swift bite to the neck to end her, he took off after another deer that had not yet gotten out of range. The small, limp creature was no match. Crunch. Its limp body hung from Mega's jaws. Something inside him was singing with that same insane pleasure he felt with every kill. A little bit less in the world now. He dragged it back to his earlier prey, salivating in anticipation of the feast to come.
I wonder how she did, Mega wondered. An alien feeling had crept into him--he wanted her to do well. Do not shame my choice, Fyglia. My choice will be right--please?

Fyglia licked at the blood that covered her fangs and some of her mouth. She picked up the large buck, carrying it towards where the scent of more killings had taken place. I see you were successful, yes? Hissing after the carcass was set down with the others. She quickly ran off to grab the other kill, bringing it back with a satisfied grin upon her face.
Digging into the fresh kill Fyglia smiles deviously as her tail swished from side to side slowly. Two kills as well. Nicely done, we are equal in killings today. Jokingly as she chuckled darkly as her tongue flickered, catching the scent of blood and death.

She, too, had caught a pair of deer. Megapi nodded in satisfaction and approval as he dug into the first of his kills, the blood still warm as it splashed across his muzzle. "I see we are both quite competent killers," he agreed in between bites. "I don't usually meet someone who is as successful as I am." Even Meta can only catch one deer at a time. Sometimes I wonder if her heart is in it, or if I should just kill her now. He watched Fyglia eat as he devoured his deer as efficiently as he could. She seemed to be enjoying it--more points in her favor. Slowly but surely, Megapi began to relax, confidence once more filling him from hoof to ear.

Fyglia dug into the flesh of the faun with a sickening grin. One is never satisfying enough for my thirst... She hissed as the blood dripped off her stained fangs. Her tail swished slowly as she enjoyed every single bite of deer. Moving her gaze down to the picked apart carcass, Has your journey for a suitable mate been long, Megapi? Asking as she looked back at the skinwalker-kalona.

"I have never seen how one creature can satisfy another's. There is much food in the world, why be stingy?" Megapi ripped into the doe's belly, tearing the guts out with relish. Gore dribbled down his chin as the savory flesh tickled his tastebuds. Dimly he registered that other animals had left the area; all birdsong had stopped. That was just the way he liked it. Killing birds was too much of a hassle for too little of a reward.
Fyglia's question caught him off-guard. "Not very," he admitted. "I haven't been searching for very long at all. I was lucky to find someone suitable so quickly."

Nodding her head in agreement, "Rather to be generous about food than make us well deserved hunters starve." Chuckling with an evil smirk as she watched him devour the guts. Fyglia cracked open the skull to ingest the brains of the faun. She enjoyed the silence of the other animals, listening to them dine in peace.
"Tis a good thing that you haven't needed to search long for someone to spread your seed." Hissing lightly as she finished off the faun. Leaving behind bones and bits of flesh. Her gazed moved to the large buck, breaking off his antlers with twisted smirk. "Seems the bigger the prey, the better the feast..." Speaking lightly to Megapi before digging into the carcass' throat.

The digestive tract finished off, Megapi reared up and slammed his hooves onto the skull, splitting it open with a crunch of bones. He bowed his head and deftly scooped the eyeballs out with his tongue, slurping them down. "I take it you've been searching for a while?" he asked casually. He wasn't entirely certain if he cared if she had been searching; it was enough to know that he had found someone to share his lust for the kill with.
"Deer is pretty good, but have you ever tried horse?" he asked as he dug into the brains. Surely she's tried horse. If she hasn't, I suppose we'll have to go hunting the next time we're hungry. It won't due to sacrifice my ideals for a mare that hasn't even tried our own race. Maybe I could find Metawa.

Fyglia looks up at him with a bit of heart sticking out of her mouth. Slurping it down, she nodded in agreement. "It has been sometime in my search, but not as long as I thought it would be. I was content until I saw other wind serpents finding mates or suitors for their spawn." She explained as she used her hoof to scoop out the insides.
The slits in her eyes grew small at the question. "Not yet, but I wish to taste our own kind one day. Perhaps we could on our next hunt?" Asking as her tail swished feverishly. It made her blood race through it's veins.

"Wind serpent," Megapi repeated slowly. Yes. The word seemed to fit Fyglia well. The feathers like a wind soquili, the scales and fangs of a serpent. The name made a great deal of sense. "How many others are there of your kind? And if you are part serpent, are your fangs venomous?" he added. The question had suddenly rose up as he thought of her more as a snake. They're certainly frightening looking, though. I wonder how many mere horses she startles with them?
Megapi chuckled. "Next time we hunt, let's find a horse. I may be a bit biased, but I prefer horsemeat, personally. I understand that most skinwalkers do." He paused to carefully break the ribs and pull them out of the way so as to access the organs of the chest.

Fyglia nodded, "I have kept my distance from the possible herd, but there quite a few of them. It's hard to tell when I kill my prey with brute strength." Answering his questions as she finished off the guts, gore dripping off her chin. Her tongue flickered as she tasted the air in case other soquili dared to interfere with their eating.
"Horse meat must be richer than that of deer or other forms of prey. I do find bear meat to be a bit tough to chew." Hissing between her fangs as she broke the ribs and skull. She was enjoying her meal with this stallion, feeling completely at ease around him.

"Not to mention the toughness of a bear's hide almost doesn't make it worth it. But, waste not, want not? Once you've killed it, you might as well eat it," Megapi murmured. The organs of the deer were pretty much cleaned out by now, and he now turned to the muscles of the creature. He was starting to feel full. Ah, well. He could save the other deer for later.
He felt approval at Fyglia's distance from others of her kind. That was something that had puzzled Metawa for a long time. If he was part wolf, why did he hate being with others so much? Because I'm a skinwalker, not a wolf. I am neither horse nor wolf, even if I look like either or both. My form has nothing to do with what lies inside. Nonetheless, her solitary nature did peak his curiosity. "Why do you avoid others of your kind?" he asked casually.

Nodding in agreement to Megapi's words of wisdom. Her tail swished as she striped the bones of the tender muscle meat. Her eye slits were at their thinnest when the warm blood dripped down her throat.
Fyglia scoffed with a dissatisfied look, "I'd rather prefer to hunt on my own instead of sharing my spoils with those of my same kind." Hissing as her crest of feathers looked ruffled from being asked the question. She'd rather hunt and be alone instead of having someone slow her down. Her tail lashed against her hind legs as she watched him. "Being around my kind who wishes to spread their seed among those who are unfit, it sickens me to the core. Seeing them grow soft from their ravenous nature.." Her tone shown a bit of hurt, but more anger than that of a pure walker.
