Tamu was glad that Nyota was satisfied with the way things were but he'd be lying if he said he hadn't been hoping for something more then clandestine secret meetings...but that had been silly he reminded himself. She was a pride lion, a noble at that and he was well...he was just a rogue.Of course he wasn't about to say that out loud and make her feel bad. Really you'd think he'd just be grateful for the fact that they were friends.
Following her out of the cave her agreed with her wishes...err demands..with a small nod of his head before realizing that she wouldn't be able to hear him "Yes..yes of course I will" He promised "but let get you back home before you get into worse trouble"

They walked mostly in silence back towards where they had first met, the fallen over tree that was a good distance still away from the prides boundaries. Her eyes scanned the horizon but here was no sign of her mother anywhere and more importantly any of the guards, which even at this far distance she would recognize in a heartbeat. When they finally reached the tree marking the spot they would need to part ways Nyota let out a sigh and looked to Tamu. "Remember your promise." She said and then licked his cheek once more. "I will come out here as soon as I can...and we can be together once more."
She would have waited to hear what he had to say, but she felt such great sadness that any words he would tell her would just make her feel worse. So she turned and raced off towards the prides lands and her doom. Hopefully Maua would be in a good mood today.
