Begrudgingly, very begrudgingly Varia conceded to the Queen's command. Curse her loyalty, when she was so close to ripping the throat from her worthless brother. Staring coldly at him as he lay submissively. Waste of fur. She caught his looks, begging for him to attack her, oh she so badly wanted to do just that. Instead though Varia remained where she was, only turning her eyes away from Iosef at the Queen's question.
"It was a just a little disagreement." She explained in regards to the injuries. After all it had been a disagreement, over Terreis' abandonment of the pack, her duties and her Queen. Not to mention her new lifestyle with a mate and five sons. "Would have been worked out just fine if someone hadn't gotten involved." Eyes ticked to Iosef and then back to the Queen.

Thank god for the Queen and her tight leash on Varia or else she may very well be one brother short. Leaning against Penthesilea for support Terreis was able to slowly limp towards the den but refused to go inside. The last thing she wanted was to cooped up somewhere small, allowing Varia and Iosef to be alone to work it out. "Thank you." She whispered to the Queen as she sat down outside of the den entrance. At least the bleeding had slowed quite a bit, and was more of a slow trickle than a fast flow.
Terreis watched her two siblings closely, worried that even with the Queen having put an end to the fighting for now, that it would start up again soon. Huffing slightly Terreis couldn't believe it, just a little disagreement? The fight had been more than that, much more.

Helping Terreis to the den site Penthesilea took a moment to inspect the wounds to her leg. They were deep, but certainly not deep enough to cause permanent damage. It would take some time to heal but Terreis should make a fun recovery as long as infection. They would need to do something right now to stop the bleeding and protect the wound. Looking between the three siblings Penthesilea could tell there was much more to this story than what they were saying. "Varia, return to your den, I will speak with you soon enough. Do not wander off." It was a command, one that she knew Varia would follow like all the others.
She turned Iosef, he would be able to quickly retrieve what she needed. Penthesilea wasn't exactly a healer, but she knew enough from watching Yakut heal the others that she could handle this. "Iosef, get me some leaves from that bush over there." She pointed with her muzzle. "The larger the better. And some vines as well. We need to control the bleeding. Quickly now." Turning she looked back at Terreis, and then slipped into the den to grab something as well. With Orithia always sick, she kept a small stockpile of healing plants in the den for quick retrieval. Picking up a mouthful of bark and berries she came back out and set them at Terreis paws. "Eat the berries, they will help fight off infection. Chew the bark, but don't swallow it, it will help with the pain for now."
She turned to look up to where she had sent off Iosef to gather the leaves and vines. "Faster Iosef, we need to work quickly." Time was of the essence with more wounds, especially to someplace as important as the legs. Without the full use of ones legs a wolf could not live a full life.

His eyes followed her gaze and he was off before the order had fully escaped her maw. He lingered a moment, indecisively, debating what the best materials would be -- but at Penthesilea's urging, he tugged a mouthful of leaves and a long stretch of vine and scurried back to his queen.
He held these for her, afraid to drop them for fear of soiling them, and allowed his violet eyes to stray apologetically to his sister. Had stepping in been the wrong thing to do? He didn't know, really. He had honestly believed Varia, left to her own devices, would have killed her....and what would he have done if that happened? Could he have lived with himself? With his pack? He thought not.
His ear flicked, distractedly. He hoped desperately that Varia didn't hate him enough to take out her rage upon Seraphin....or the puppies.

"As you wish my Queen." Varia said with a tip of her head. She could not ignore a command from her Queen, not now and likely not ever, it was a fault really, to be so obeying of her superior. Casting one last hateful look at Iosef Varia glanced over at Terreis, gave her a shrug and then padded off towards her den. Training later would be intense if only to work out her current aggrevation.
With no other choice Terreis picked up the berries and chewed them up, they didn't taste all that great but honestly she didn't care if they would help off any possible infection that may come from her injury. Once the berries were consumed she picked up the piece of bark and began to chew it. There wasn't much flavor to it, it made her mouth feel extremely dry but it was already starting to numb the pain. Plus this was proving to be a great distraction while Penthesilea and Iosef attended to her leg.
She caught Varia's shrug and shook her head. They had once been close as sisters should, but now there was far too large of gap between them and it wasn't just about not being in the pack or her sons, no it was much more. As the Queen began to work on her leg Terreis chewed the bark quicker hoping it would help dull the pain even more.
With Iosef holding the leaves Penthesilea took them from him one at a time and laid them over the wound. It would be a temporary fix, more to ensure the wound would stay clean until it would be properly looked at, cleaned and treated, but that would need to wait until the bleeding had stopped - which the leaves would also help with. Once the leaves were laid out to completely cover the wound Penthesilea took one end of the vine and laid it on the ground beside Terreis' leg. "Iosef hold this still while I wrap it around her leg." She instructed and then took the remaining length of vine in her mouth. Taking a step to the side to give Iosef room to do as instructed she looked at Terreis. "Lift you leg, I need to secure the leaves."
When the patchy wolf had done just that Penthesilea set about the task of latching the leaves to her leg. It was a tedious process of laying the vine over top the leg, dropping the remaining length to the ground, using her paw to push it under the leg, picking that up and starting again with laying atop of the leaves. After several long minutes she had completely wrapped the leaves up tightly enough to stop the bleeding, keep dirt from getting into the wound but loose enough that it would not cut off the blood flow to the limb. Tucking the end of the vine under the final loop near the top of Terreis' leg Penthesilea looked up at Iosef. "Alright you can let that go now." She said in reference to the vine end he had been holding. "This will keep it clean for the time being and stop the bleeding. We will need to properly clean it later." Taking a step back the Queen took a deep breath. "Best go see to Seraphin, I can take it from here. You can check in later today to see how she's doing." It's not that Penthesilea didn't want him around, but Terreis sake it was best that he wasn't here when they did clean out the wound and the Queen did worry slightly that Varia may disobey her command and not stay at the den.

He held the vine tightly, his expression betraying his uncertainty and terror -- he sat with wide, owlish eyes and trembled occasionally, like a large patchy leaf. He did not take his eyes off of Penthesilea, however, poised and ready to follow any further directions, and when she told him to release the vine, he did so immediately.
A low whine caught in his throat -- he had wanted to stay and talk with Terreis a moment, to apologize for his part in what happened -- but he stopped himself. Seraphin. If Varia had....he shuddered, his blood running icily in his veins. "Yes, my Queen," he said, obediently, and cast one last apologetic look -- sheepish, but honest, love shining in his eyes -- to Terreis.
Then, fueled in a resurgence of terror about Seraphin's whereabouts -- and the imagined threat to his unborn children -- he bolted for the dens.

Terreis was extremely happy for the pain numbing properties of the bark she was chewing or else she probably would have no been able to lie still as the Queen tended to her wound. When it was all over Terreis blew a sigh of relief. Glancing over at Iosef when he was told to return to Seraphin she gave him a reassuring smile. "Go on, I'll be fine." No need for her brother to be worrying about her when he had to see to Seraphin just in case. Of course if Varia did anything like that Terreis would be sure to have a 'talk' with her sister.
"Come let's get you in a den so that you can rest. We will need to check on the wound later as well as clean it." Helping Terreis to her paws Penthesilea guided her to an empty den not far away, there was an advantage to the pack still being somewhat small was they had spare dens everyone in case one was needed. Once she got Terreis inside and settled down the Queen left her to rest, saying that she would return to her shortly. For now she needed to have a word with Varia about all of this.
