Ah, it was such a wonderful sight to see Eltimioth in her element like this. Now if only those others weren't getting so close as well he could enjoy it much more. Tereth didn't make any drastic moves just yet, instead sticking close and waiting for the right opening to appear. Attempting to zig-zag after her would only waste energy and slow him down. He knew his limits, but he also knew that he could long out-fly her for endurance. The real competition was against Iweith and Pierth now, both of whom were fast and experienced flyers. The Brown maintained his focus on his target.

Pierth enjoyed the lead he had taken now, his technique always coming through for them in the end. He was far older than these other browns, his rider more than enough proof for that, so sometimes being older was better. He may not have all the same stamina that he once did, but that didn't matter.
The Green could get angry all she wanted, but he would eventually reach her.

Iweith had moved back a little to give the green some space as she began to zig and zag. No use in wearing himself out while she still had plenty of strength. When the others started to fail, Iweith would move in after her.

She was well enough satisfied with the lead she'd regained through her acrobatics--certainly, they were drawing ever closer but that was only to be expected. They'd still have to work for her, and she was well and truly enjoying herself now. Higher! Darting upwards at a sharp incline, then off evading to one side again, Eltimioth was well pleased at the show she was putting on.

Oh, and what a show it truly was. Tereth took off after her as she climbed, her gleaming green hide impossible to lose track of in the sky. Yes, this chase was truly a thrilling one.

The green was going to tire herself out, Pierth was sure of this. It was only a matter of time, and he would have her.
He still wasn't too sure that he wanted her though. Oh well.

Iweith had tried to roll and get underneath of her when Peirth pulled out and tangled with the green. Snarling in defeat, Iweith wished he had gotten to her sooner. There was the vague notion of V'tur being upset but later. Now, he would fly and burn off his need.

NO! WHERE HAD HE COME FROM?! How? How?! Tereth let out a furious bellow as Pierth suddenly took the lead and captured Eltimioth. His Eltimioth! During his one chance to fly her. No! His eyes whirled with a mix of fury and despair, but their was nothing that could be done. Making an abrupt turn away, the Brown disappeared Between to return to his weyr. He was not happy with this. Not at all.

Age before beauty it seemed, as Pierth drew ever closer--it took only one moment of distraction and Eltimioth was well ensnared before she'd quite realized what had happened. She heard Tereth's bellow and almost pitied him--but her attention was rather captivated by the good looking brown who held her close, and really it was his own fault for not being quick enough-- As the rejected suitors went off their own ways, E'lai was faced yet again with the usual quandary of heterosexual green riders everywhere--at least Reine was there too, was his brief thought, but very shortly thoughts ceased to matter much at all. Congratulations Pierth!
