Landry knew that surprise attack wouldn't beat Disciple, but it did put him on the ground where Landy could inflict maximum damage. And so he tried to attack with several soccer kicks to his opponent's back.

Disciple arched his back in pain with each kick. The sound of him groaning in pain was barely heard as it was muffled through his thick leather mask.

Landry now had the opening he had been waiting for. Disciple's arms could be as strong as he wanted, but if his back and legs couldn't take it then it wouldn't mean a thing.
Landry tried working over both, attempting to keep Disciple grounded and tied up by locking in his Scorpian Deathtrap. ((Boston Crab with leg variant Full Nelson))

The lumbering giant had to act fast, or risk succumbing to Landry far superior technical skills. He knew it was best not to let Landry get a submission hold early in the match, and so as Landry went for his Scorpion Deathtrap He tried to use he's tremendous leg strength and launch Landry off of him before fulling locking in the move.

Landry was launched off the position, but held hold of the left leg. This time he attempted seccuring a knee bar so to keep the monster down, and work on that knee.

The tenacious Landry managed to keep his, grip and quickly lock in a knee bar. A bit surprised that Landry got in a submission, but relived that it wasn't the Scorpion Deathtrap. He reached down at his leg in pain as muffled groan could be heard through his thick leather mask.

Disciple's large legs made it harder to slip off when he latched on, so he cranked that kneebar for all it was worth. Even if Disciple didn't tap, he'd be in no shape it pick him up or land that vicious big boot any time soon.

Landry was dragged to the ropes with Disciple and made no attempt to stop him, focusing all his power on trying to snap his knee off. When the referee began his rope break count he made sure he maintained eye contact, so the referee was looking at him and not his feet. When the referee got to four Landry pushed off violently, intentionally placing his foot in Disciple's groin when he did.

As Disciple gripped the hope he could hear the ref counting for the break. He was hoping it was soon, or his knee could take some serious damage. He thought the worst of that was over when Landry released it, but nope, Landry had used Disciple groin for a stepping stone. Disciple let go of the rope and tended to his region, making sure the boys where okay.

Landry stood up with a cocky grin as he was boo'd heavily. Everyone except the one who should have paid attention saw what Landry did, and now it looked like the champ was going to get away with surviving Disciple with his title in tact.
Landry wasn't done though, instead of pausing to pose and posture, he ran to the ropes opposite Disciple and ran back, attempting a baseball slide to his opponent to send him outside...and into the lumberjacks' grasp.

The massive hep of man was sent under the bottom rope and to the ringside after Landry connected with a baseball slide. Disciple was still feeling the effects of the low blow more so then the baseball slide. He tried getting to a knee on the outside, not caring about the lumberjacks.

Landry wasn't taking any chances, he made sure he had an eye on all the lumberjacks as well as Disciple.
"WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!? GET HIM! GET THAT FREAK! DO YOUR DAMN JOB!"

~I'll just post for em, seeing how I don't see any but Harli around.~
Disciple staggered to his feet next to the apron, shaking out his leg, getting the kinks out of it from the knee bar. He towered over the lumberjacks, his entire 7 foot frame nearly casting a shadow over them as they slowly surrounded him. All had a grudge against the Dreadnaught, but yet none we're man enough to charge him when he was fully standing and aware. Disciple was no longer worried about his leg as he scanned down the four accomplished wrestlers, making sure they weren't going to grow a pair. Which left his back to the ring, open from an attack from Landry.

With Disciple's back to Landry, the champion's courage grew. So Landry snuck up and tried grabbing onto Disciple's neck, and then try to slam the back of his head into the apron.
