Carthusia poked her head into the classroom. Many other classes were already in session and she couldn't just pop in and sit down like she'd been there from the beginning. Tucking her long hair behind an ear, she'd heard this class was run by a Reaper. Excellent! Just the thing she needed to boost her failing confidence after her audition. She patted down her skirt for dust and walked inside, long hair pulled up into a braid to keep from sitting on it. The last thing she needed was unnecessary embarrassment in her very first class. She didn't recognize anyone -- wait, there was Riley! -- so maybe this would be a good time for socializing? She saw several students were demons, so Carry felt a bit more comfortable.
She quickly read the board in front and walked to the Reaper's desk to take a book as instructed. Finding a seat near the front, the demon sat down and thumbed through the pages. Mentally taking notes, she made time in her not-so-busy schedule to read the required text. Hmm, this might actually be kind of interesting. The boy in the back with the flaming red hair was kind of cute. She turned around to glance at him and noticed the... rather bright slippers.
Huh.
Back to the book!

Unlike other creatures that had made their way there, Jack could not make his way in as silently as he could, the familiar jangle of jewelry and random knick-knacks riddled the air as he waltzed into the classroom, a soft-furred cat precariously balancing on his back - Seiben as she was known - watching the classroom from her high perch as they found the table with books.
Jack actually liked plant life, having spent time by himself, he had learnt to enjoy living off the lay of the land - trees were exceptionally comfortable - and so he figured this would be a wonderful class to take, hopefully learning things that could probably kill him if he found himself back out the door. Grabbing a book, he took a seat next to Malodore, giving it a light nod of his head - and a soft mewl from the feline on his shoulder - before lounging back, wondering what would happen next.

Cadmus was fairly warm, and continued to look pleased as student filled his classroom, the class size was still not too overly large but plants were not for everyone and he certainly wasn't going to be forcing students into the class room. Only one person had asked a question and it entertained him.
"No of course you will not be forced to eat plants. We will just be studying the basics behind plants, such as what they do in regards to magic and heal. As well as what is best to avoid depending on your species."
Cadmus rubbed his hands together and looked over the class, he was slightly dismayed not to see more reapers in his class but he held no ill will to the students he did have fore they had a common ground and that was the plants he so loved.
"On that seeing as we've had mo more questions we shall move on to introductions. Just basic simple stuff to get things going, we don't want any unease. I, if you all do not know am Professor Cadmus. I am a reaper who focuses on potions and other magic dealing mainly with plants. Now we can go by random as to your introductions, just your name and any other information you'd like to tell us would be fine."
((OOC:Sorry That I wasn't not active this weekend, I was having technical issues with my laptop, I will be extending the class by a week for this class just to make it so we have time for introductions however brief or long they may be. As well as a quick overlook to what is in store for you in this class))

She had been here when class was supposed to have started, only to discover the door was locked and a few students were camping out near the door to await its unlocking. LW found this to be something she was unfit for and went to explore the halls for a little bit, slowly making her way back towards the classroom. It wasn't her intention to end up being later to the class then they all already were, as she really did have an interest in learning botany. The right kind of plants could be used to make some interesting pranks.
The she-wolf peeked in the room to see that there were other students in there now and the teacher was speaking. Candlejack! It was slip in now or never, not to mention it was her first class at Amityville (great way to start at a new school...)! So as quietly as she could with faint metallic clinking coming from her bells, LW slid into one of the desks nearby in the back. There was another student back here who seemed to be drawing? On his arm? Quirking an eyebrow at the boy doodling on his arm, LW sat in the desk next to his and shot a quick look at the blackboard. Then spotted the books. Well, she'd have to nab one of those before the end of class.
Apparently the teacher wanted them to give small introductions. Well, why not jump in and go ahead and make one then? Maybe if she volunteered herself to go first her lateness would be overlooked (as she had missed hearing that the teacher didn't care much if you were late or not)? Standing slowly and glancing around, she forced a grin onto her face.
"Names Little-Wolfe, but I go by LW." What was something quick and interesting about her? "Uh...I love bells?" Alright, that was jacking lame and enough attention for her! LW quickly sat back down and slid down in her chair a little to appear 'less noticeable'.

Tsetsiliya fiddled with her braided belt, her fingers toying with the antiquated sickle charm that dangled from it. Introductions. Her insides squirmed. That means she would have to get up and talk in front of the class. Would she stumble over her words? Turn bright red or, dare she think it, start to shift? There was nothing more embarrassing than developing wrinkles when one looked like a preteen. She batted the decision back and forth - should she wait or do it now?
It would be better to do it now, then to sit and wait in agony for her to be called and made to go (if they were to go by rows, she would be among the first anyway, seeing as she was in one of the front seats). Why put it off when she can get it done? Grandmother Nadya always said that she needed to be more courageous - well, this was a new school! Why not start now?
A newcomer to the class, luckily, took the initiative and went first. That eased Tsetsiliya's nerves a little - at least she wouldn't have to be first first. Shakily, the poludnica stood from her seat, fighting with herself to keep her hands from toying with the sickle charm (as she was apt to do when she got nervous).
"H-Hello," she began, her voice thick with native accent (another thing that stood out when she was nervous). "M-My name is Tsetsiliya. I am looking very much forward to learning about p-plants. I have very many a-at home." Face red, she bowed her head and slid quickly back into her seat. At least there was none of the tell-tale tingling sensation that accompanied her shifts. This was a step forward!

Cadmus grinned happily, already two students were up, not exactly the most eager but brave enough to stand up.
"Good, Good. Such initiative, let us keep it up."
Bold and a love of plants would help the class move along. Cadmus ran his hand through his hair. He leaned causally against his desk calmly looking over his class.

Riley's glowing eyes flickered up when Tahki took a seat beside her. She watched the ghoul take her seat, and slowly nodded in greeting.
Tahki. I am relieved to see you are still alive and well. She responded sincerely. Better than something vague like 'nice to see you'. At the mention of things that could eat them, Riley scanned the room briefly, looking for the possibility of a flesh eating plant. I trust our instructor will not put us in any danger, her thoughts whispered quietly, apparently forgetting that it was an instructor who had handed out those pumpkins in the first place. Besides, she was more confident that she could fight off a flesh eating plant. Plants were easier to subdue than younglings. And they weren't as cute, so you didn't feel as guilty when killing them.
Riley's back straightened when the instructor spoke, and she waited until there was a moment's pause between students before pushing her chair back and standing up. Introductions, was it? She chose to introduce herself to the instructor, and not the entire class - therefore, standing there silently, the students in the room would hear nothing as she spoke. The thought was sharp and to the point.
My name is Riley. I have nothing further to share.
She sat back down, settling a long hand on her book. Can we learn something now, please?

Malodore perked up at the Professor's mention of healing - that was exactly what the plague doctor had hoped to hear! It was about time more courses were offered that dealt with the mechanics of healing and harming.
It was enthused enough that it didn't really notice the odd squid-monster's lack of introduction, standing up to introduce itself immediately after the squid-monster sat down. "Buon giorno - I am L.C. Malodore, though I prefer to be addressed as Malodore." It turned to face the Professor and bowed slightly. "I look forward to learning botany as it applies to medicine, Professor."
Then it sat down again, thoroughly pleased with the whole affair.

Israfel let out a sigh of relief. No eating plants. That was most definitely a good thing. A few people he reconized. Tahki in particular, the drummer that could. He was still ashamed at the whole band fiasco, he just blushed and picked at his desk. Until of course, it came time for intoductions. Earwings pricked up and wigs fluffed a bit. WHY? Why did people constantly seek to make him go into the 'spot light'. Standing the siren was trying his hardest to be small. "....'m Israfel." A tiny bow and he sat back down. fiddling with a few buttons on his coat.

Tahki gave a nervous smile to Riley as she assured that they probably would not have to deal with anything to dangerous in this class. The gryphoness really hoped that to be the truth. Danger was not her middle name. Not even close since Tahki didn't have a middle name.
The gryphon gulped and watched as others in the class stood up and volunteered their names. Her head turned as Israfel offered his name. Tahki offered him a nervous smile before standing her self to offer her own name.
"...T-Tahki Yuki . Err..." Tahki scratched her head awkwardly and sat down almost to quickly. The wince on her face was enough to show she had hurt her butt on the way down.

West began scribbling in earnest once the bell-loving ghoul - LW had she said? - had taken a seat next to him. Things were really shaping up. Clearly he should drop this school business and become a tattoo artist. Once Tahki had stuttered out her introduction and retaken her seat, the wrath demon filled the momentary silence with, "M'name's West. Plants're awesome," without getting up or ceasing his furious doodling. At least he wasn't drawing on the book.

It was his turn, he guessed, and after Tahki sat back down in her seat once again, he lifted himself up - the familiar feeling of claws digging into his shoulder flaired up as his partner balanced herself when he suddenly lifted himself from their seat. Clearing his throat, his soft glowing eyes peered over all the others that had introduced themselves before, and gave a curt bow, before starting his introduction, Seiben complaining a tiny little, with little kittering sounds in his furred ear. There were a couple familiar faces - especially the plague doctor next to him, who had recently trumped him, and his makeshift band. Alas.
"Good day to you all, I am known as Jack-B-Nimble, a name that I was given as a child, that's B, as the letter - you can call me Jack or JackB if you wish. Also, this is Seiben, number seven." He introduced himself and his feline friend, who perked up when her name was stated. "Um," he stuttered, shrugging a little. "I'm a Sitar player, I suppose? I'm also interested in plant life, and pretty content with being in this class, I hope to learn a lot." He finished, before sitting back down again, gingerly for his feline friend.

Cadmus nodded listening to his pupils, most ready and willing to learn about plants and what he would teach them. Some were talkative others said as little as possible, one had even spoken so only he would hear the words spoken.
"Well it would appear we have some silent bodies in the class but no matter with time hopefully we will get to hear their voice. To move on we shall go ahead and begin our discussion.
He clapped his hands and moved about the front of the classroom looking at his students.
"as the course title says we will be learning the basics of botany. We will learn about plants, where they are located, if they have magical properties, or healing properties. So even those who are not magically inclined can create a magical potion. We will learn what you as pertaining to your species should avoid. We will also cover the seriousness of the plants properties. Any questions."

Sin normally wasn't one to keep quiet but it seemed she was distracted, her mind trying to sort a hundred different things at once. She looked up startled as she realized others were finishing up introductions. Whoops, she quickly opened her notebook and scrawled down what the professor said about what they would be covering in the class.
- Serious plants - Properties of plants - Healing? - What to avoid - Potions
She looked at her little bullet points, huh not exactly the most informative notes she had ever taken but it would do as a summary. She didn't have a specific question just yet, so she sat back and tried to stay focused instead. Basics, basics were good because Sin didn't know anything about plants other then not to disrupt the mandrake one of her family had sent her as a present, worst present ever.

Cadmus clapped his hands.
"Well seeing as I've told you what I had intended to tell you I think I shall get back to my plants now, I shall see you all for our next class..."
He looked down and shuffled through his vest pocket and pulled out his cigarettes and was about to light one when it dawned on him that he'd forgotten something. So with an unlit Cigarette in mouth he turned to his class.
"Remember your books they are important. Class will return to meeting tomorrow, you have no actual homework but looking over your book would be advised. With that class is dismissed"
With the wave of his hand he motioned the students to the door, if they were to stay they were to stay if they were to leave so be it. He was going back to his plants as it were.
((Next Class will begin Some time tomorrow afternoon. I plan to start it up around 12-1CST, though I plan on baking so it'll depend on if I'm having to take stuff outta the oven <3))
