It is, and it doesn't help that she's very moody. This morning, her and the girl she supposedly told were talking about the interview. She didn't realize that the suposed rape and coverup had never been mentioned. Not that she felt bad about it of course...

If she really has been put in an asylum in the past for her mental disturbances, then you can probably bet on the fact that the police will not be as likely to believe her, especially considering everyone else calls her a compulsive liar as well.
Schizophrenia is an interesting disorder. Scary. My uncle's ex-wife has it, and it was always very strange trying to follow her train of thought. It's obvious that this girl you know is very sick and needs more help than she's currently getting. Unfortunately, there is a percentage of schizophrenics that will never get better to the point where they can function within society. At least she's still functioning to an extent, albeit a very illogical one, and hopefully her condition won't worsen more than it already has (heaven forbid she become catatonic).
