He cast his eyes over her, scrutinizing, searching for any sign of the pups that he now knew were growing inside her -- a concept which was terrifying and exciting and unbelievably amazing. "Perhaps it's early enough we may not need to specify," he said, and shrugged.
He rose back to his paws, mostly now managing to contain the shaking in his limbs. "Of course I'll come with you. It wouldn't do to appear there was anything to be...ashamed...or afraid of. If the Queen senses you may be regretting your choice, there may be punishment levied against me for our...rashness." He met her eyes then, a little pitifully -- and almost daring her to say what he was feeling. "Unless you do regret your decision?"

A sigh of relief came from her when he agreed to come along to inform the Queen. Though his suggestion to not specify made her give her head a shake. "No, I think it is best that we tell her the truth. It is a rule to always tell the truth no matter what." That was one of the most important rules of the pack and had been drilled into her from the moment she joined.
Following suit Serphin stood as well, though she felt a bit uneasy at the moment, but she chalked that up to the mixture of fear and excitement that was flowing through her. His question took her by surprise and she couldn't help but stare at him for a few moment, mouth gaped open a bit. Finally she gave her head a shake. "No, I do not regret my decision." And then because she needed to ask, to know. "Do you?"

"You're right," he said, and his smile was grim. How could he forget? One of the singularly most important rules of the pack, and one which he broke daily simply by living. But what other choice did he have?
He began to move forward with his usual determined, swift gait, but paused, feeling her eyes upon him. When she spoke, he looked over his shoulder at her, and wordless emotions glinted in his eyes. "All my life, I have wanted nothing more than the love of a female, and a family to call my own," he said, choosing his words carefully and honestly. That had been all he wanted. At least, everything he would allow himself to want.

That's all she wanted to hear. It may not have sounded right to anyone else who might have been around, but knowing his secrets Seraphin knew exactly how to interpret those words. "We best go and find her then." She finally said. Moving over to where he was she gave him a reassuring lick on the cheek and while she wasn't sure who was more nervous they would face this together. So she set off with Iosef beside her, heading towards the den area. All the while her mind spun with what exactly she would say to the Queen and mentally prepared herself for any punishment that was throw their way.
