Jupiter looked at Kotone in surprise. The same as what? Licking his lips, he scooted a little closer to the female. "I- ...you're welcome." He pushed a hand through his hair. She was always so vague about her past, what had scared her from singing. He still didn't know any reasons for the attack. "But, Kotone... what did you think everyone would be like? Why did you... Why were you attacked?" He looked down at his fins. "I know you don't want to tell me, but... how can I keep you safe if I don't know why the danger is there?"
At first, he had been only playfully considering himself as a body guard. When he started getting attacted the Kotone, he had started thinking about how seriously he should be considering his promise to her. He neede to get serious, before he started putting their names out there.

Kotone swallowed a bit, her eyes growing a bit distant from the memories. She looked down at her hands. "I was attacked in my old home. I was overconfident, the best singer anyone had ever heard.. All of my family was good singers, and I was raised to be one of the best. Along with finding fame, I found those who were jealous. Some of them banded together and found me the one moment I was left alone, determined to ruin my fame. It worked..." she sighed a little.
"It was my own fault, in a way. I should have realized not everyone would like me..." slowly, she brought herself to look back up at him, thankful he couldn't see any tears for the fact they lived under water. "I thought everyone would just try to use me..."

Jupiter felt his insides cring. They attacked her for being good at what she did? How was he supposed to keep her safe from that? Of course others would be jealous. There would always be jealous syrin when someone was great. Sighing, he automatically wrapped his arm around Kotone's shoulders and pulled her closer comfortingly suddenly finding himself feeling more protective of her. Also, a little for his own comfort. If he had gone forward on his own, would someone have eventually attacked him too?
He pressed his forehead to Kotone's. "I'm going to look out for you." He promised. "And when we're both rich and famous, we'll have to look out for each other, to make sure we don't let it go to our heads and forget." He smirked gently, giving her shoulder a squeeze. "No one is going to hurt you like that again. Not while I'm here."

At first, Kotone shied away from his hold on her. After a moment, though, she nearly clung to him for his comfort and the small affection he gave. His closeness made her feel safe... She hated her past, but she knew it wouldn't just go away.
"Jupiter..." once again, she found herself looking into the depths of his eyes. Their faces were so close... "I'll always have your back. I trust you. We'll keep each other safe this time. I don't want you getting hurt." She smiled, tempted to kiss his cheek. "I hope you'll always be here.."

Jupiter petted her shoulder, giving her his best smile. Okay, so the dream wasn't exactly what he imagined it to be. It wouldn't scare him from what he'd been wanting to do since he could talk though.
And... he wasn't going to be scared away from Kotone. She would be more than someone who was there to look good on his arm, unlike his past dates. Wait- he hadn't even asked her yet! Blushing at his own mental back and forth, his eyes brightened at her wish. "I hope so too. I'll do whatever I can to make it so." Nodding encourgaingly, he sighed and pulled his head back, falling to stretch out on his back on the rock, looking up at the female and the surface far above, his mind randomly shifting gear. "Do you think we'll travel a lot, or stay close the the Isles?"

Kotone returned his smile with one of her own. "Good. I'm fond of you." She noticed his blush, smiling. It looked cute on him and his usual confidence. Though she liked his confidence, too. Letting herself lay next to him, she looked over at him rather than up at the surface.
"I think we should stay close at first, then branch out as our fame extends. The Isles could use some new music." and she didn't want to somehow stumble into her former territory. Though it would all be different with Jupiter. He had already proved her that.

Jupiter quirked a brow, silently enjoying her words as he stretched out. She was fond of him... Not just his stunning good looks, not just his mystical voice. Him. As full of himself as he was and all, that was a pleasing thing to hear.
"That sounds like a good idea. Start out where we're used to, get a good following, and then spread out. Let our reputation proceed us." He turned to look at Kotone, only to find that she was alread looking at him. He gave her another bright smile.
"So, uh, where do you live?" His cheeks started to pink again, but not much. He had been thinking about this the past few days. "I was thinking, since we're practicing so much and all, I thought I'd move closer to you. Then, we wouldn't have to go so far to meet every day."

Kotone's cheeks found their own pink tint. Living near him... He would be a short distance away... that made her smile. "A friend of mine had shown me a labyrinth of coral, I've been living near there since it was so lovely..." She would miss her home once they started traveling.. But Jupiter would be with her. And she could always return if she needed to.
A thought dawned on her, and she became a little curious. "Jupiter, why are you so willing to do so much for me?" Protecting her, practicing his singing with her, going to travel with her.. and now planning on living near her.

A labyrinth of coral? Jupiter wasn't sure where she meant. She's have to point it out to him.
At her question, he turned onto his side to face her easier. Why? "Well... I've been wanting this since I was little. Singing, travelling, getting famous. And, you seem to want the same thing, so what better team?"
Ending there didn't seem right. That wasn't enough. He sighed, falling onto his back again. "I don't have anything here except you. Haven't seen my family in ages, don't have a family of my own, where I live now isn't so great. I was planning to go places, and I haven't gotten anywhere... Until I met you." He glanced at her, then back to the surface. Here came the real reason for moving closer. "And... you're special. To me. I guess you'd say... that I'm a little more than fond of you."

Kotone listened patiently to his story. How funny that they both have had about the same dream all of their lives... Jupiter didn't have anyone but her?... That sounded like her and how she only had him and Airini... but she hadn't even seen Airini in a while..
She was a little stunned by his confession.. It made her smile. Her face was hot with a noticeable blush. Shyly, she snuggled up next to him, gently wrapping her arms around one of his forearms and her head near his shoulder. "I won't leave you, Jupiter... You're very special to me.."

Having never said anything so honest to a female, he wasn't sure what kind of reaction he'd get. He felt his face warm pleasantly at the reaction he did get. No juvenile shrieking, no loud crying... just a cuddle and some soft words of agreement. He felt amazingly comfortable with her up against him.
His free arm stretched over his stomach to rest his hand on top of hers. What was one to do with someone so special? His previous girls had been superficial, to say the most of them. She was so much more.
Unused to the romantic part, other than the basic coral flower boquets and serenades, he chuckled nervously, even though he was very confident about what had just happened, his fingers entwining with hers. "Kotone, you'll have to forgive me. I've apparently assigned you a body guard who can't keep his relationship with you strictly business."

Kotone laughed softly. "I find that as a relief, I don't think even I could keep it strictly business if I tried.." Carefully, she placed a light kiss on his arm. Never had she been in a romantic position, but she had seen enough to have an idea of how it worked. Plus she could always go off of what her heart said to do. She blushed, pleased at their closeness. She gave his fingers a soft squeeze with hers.

Jupiter cocked his head, chuckling and bringing his hand up to run his fingers along her cheek. "Well, if you were trying before, you don't have to anymore." Wanting to risk more than just a kiss on the arm, he leaned over to plant a kiss on her forehead, then slowly lifted her chin with his fingertips, leaning into a sweet kiss on her lips. Were they ready for this? He wanted it though... Hopefully she would accept.

Kotone tilted her head slightly, kissing him back. Her eyes closed, one of her hands lifted to rest lightly on the back of his neck. It was as though fire was flowing through her. A bubby, incredibly hot but happy fire. She wasn't going to push him away. She wanted his affection, wanted him near her. And maybe even a part of her needed it.. "Jupiter.." Her voice was just a whisper, but she had no idea how to tell him what she was feeling.

Feeling her kiss him back, his chest felt like bursting with pride. A real woman in his arms...
He nuzzled his cheek against hers, inhaling the subtle scent she gave off. "Yes?" Kissing her cheek, he pulled back to look at her face again. Such a lovely face. He had seen many lovely faces, but for once, there was a personality behind it.
