Azrael dreamed of Charis, their first meeting and their first date. She dreamed of a happy future with kids and her dream progressed and she saw grandkids even. She had a happy and loving family. She truly wished for it, longed for him.
She found herself waking in the tree, the wind still blowing a gentle breeze, it seemed to caress her face, making her feel as if Charis were there.....wait she wasn't alone. She awoke from a deep sleep at the feeling that someone or something was in the area.
Azrael sat up thinking that a deer possibly came near to graze on the sweet grass, it wasn't uncommon for her to wake for such a thing. But she heard her name, a whisper on the wind. She must be going crazy, right? She hoped down to a lower branch and peeked out through the leaves. ~Charis? No, Im still dreaming...or..~ her mind was jumping and her heart racing, could she trust her eyes?
She silently hoped to the base of the tree, the leaves already blowing in the wind did not give away her presence. She saw him....she wasn't going crazy. She was smiling inside and out, she had almost given up hope of ever seeing him again. Her eyes started to water with happy tears as she called out to him, still somewhat apprehensive that he was a mirage, Charis? Please tell me Im not dreaming....Charis!"
She didn't care if she was dreaming, if she was she never wanted to wake up. At the end of her words tears fell gentle down her face as she ran to him.....~Please don't let me wake-up~

Charis had been staring up at the top of the apple tree thinking about his grey angel s he missed seeing her drop from the tree to the base. At the sound of her voice he thought he finally lost his mind due to longing but still looked down toward the sound. His eyes widened in shock thinking he must have dozed off or perhaps hit his head and didn’t know it. In front of his was his goddess of beauty in all of her glory. She said his name and was coming toward him. There were tears in her eyes and he felt his heart flutter at the sight of them. Surely if she wasn’t real she wouldn’t cry right? Without thinking Charis embraced her when she reached him. He pulled her close and held her tightly. The physical contact of her presence made him certain he didn’t lose his mind. “No you’re not dreaming and if you are than so am I.”
Burring his head into her fur he inhaled her scent and nuzzled her softly not wanting to bruise her with the fiery passion he felt like griping her with. Finally after a few moments he pulled back and kissed her tenderly and yet avidly. She was here and was real. That was enough for him. It was true that a part of him wondered if she had moved on during their time apart, but he didn’t care about that now. He just wanted to be near her. “How have you been my gray angel?”

Azrael fell into Charis embrace, never wanting to leave it again. If she could have fallen farther in his kiss she would. She couldn't believe he was with her again, but she knew he was real and she'd never let that much distance some between them again if she could help it.
As they parted to look at each other she couldn't help but smile. As she started to speak her voice grew weak and broken as she was holding back more tears. "I....I've been lost without you. I don't know if I'd call it living. I came here every chance I could just hoping fate would let us meet again....now...here you are."
She wanted to ask how he'd been, what he'd been doing, but she couldn't hold back the next wave of tears. She smiled and blushed as she looked at him and kissed him this time and laid her head on his shoulder in an embrace her smile never falling.

“I came when I could as well Azreal. It seems we always missed one another.” He wrapped a wing around as best he could basking in her smile. She felt so warm and soft in his grasp. He worried when he heard how she had been suffering in his absence. He hated himself for making her feel like that. He wanted to distract her from that pain and make her feel better. He didn’t think he would be able to handle if she continued on suffering because of his absence. He himself had considered drastic actions in her absence, but he couldn’t tell her about that. Not now anyways. It would be too painful for the both of them. This was a happy day. The modeity of fate was kind enough to allow them to reunite. “I’ve been so lonely and lost without you. Though I have meet some interesting foxes and had a few interesting experiences. I can’t wait to tell you about them.”
