 ~Masaru Mori~ Location: Viridian City Ruins As the sun shined down across the once proud Viridian City, the stories came back to the pink-haired elite. The buildings were demolished and the streets were deserted.
'So this was Johto's first retaliation...' Masaru thought as he walked around the ghost town. His Blaziken, Efreet, walked beside him with a angered look on his face. The thought of this war still sickened him, but he knew as well as Masaru that they were stuck in this. With no destination in mind, they reached the old Viridian Trainer House and sighed in synchronization.
~~~
The sun was shining brightly that day as well. The civilians were living the peaceful life. The possibility of elite trainers visiting had decreased since the Elite Four separated. However, there were many trainers practicing at the Trainer House since the Viridian City Gym was closed due to Blue disappearing again.
No one saw it coming. A swarm of Flying Pokemon came from the east and unleashed something short of hell. The pack was led by a troop of Dragonite, attacking the town with Draco Meteors, one after the other. Screams of terror were heard throughout the city. Trainers attempted to stop the attack, but put up a small fight.
At the end of the quarrel, the last "elite" trainer in the city was brought in front of the squad. The leader of the fighting troop grabbed him and slammed him to the ground. Her Dragonite used Thunder Wave, paralyzing the poor trainer, the shocks moving throughout his body preventing him from moving his limbs.
"Citizens of Kanto!" she yelled to the city with a megaphone, "Your attack on New Bark Town will not be taken lightly! You have declared war so we are responding! Take this attack as a response to your greedy ways! Dragonite, Hyper Beam!"
In seconds, a large amount of energy shot out of the orange dragon and blasted the elite trainer. His screams of pain and death were loud enough for people to get the hint and attempt escape. Unfortunately, there were few survivors...
~~~
Masaru picked up a small piece of metal on the ground in front of him. It was a Gym Badge. They became signatures of the Commanders who led the troops.
"So it was her who led the battle that day," Masaru said quietly as he sent out Gaia, his Flygon. "I've seen enough. Let's go back to Vermillion," Masaru commanded her as he placed Efreet back into his Pokeball. As they soared above the ruins, Masaru tossed the trinket behind him, letting the Rising Badge fall to the ground, making a small 'clink' sound as it landed.
  To reach victory as a team, that’s my dream!

The Fallen Angel... The later afternoon sun gleamed of the Lilycove Lighthouse. The people of the town went around their daily business. The contest hall was even hosting a contest. No sign of a war could even be seen. Good time don't last forever though...
=== "Ryuu patrol the Lighthouse grounds. Something is up..." Ryuu's commanding officers instructed. "Do you think Johto will attack contest hall full of people?" Ryuu asked worried about the people.
"I am more worried about the Lighthouse being destroyed. More lives will be lost if the Lighthouse is no longer up and running," the commander replied. "Don't worry about the Lighthouse to much sir. R2 is on the case," Ryuu said to his commander. "R2?" the commander asked perplexed. "My Flygon sir. R2!" Ryuu called.
There was a shadow cast over Ryuu and his commander of dragonfly wings. Ryuu's Flygon fly a circle around the head of the Lighthouse and retreated back into the confides of the building where the light sat.
"Glad to know you are on the case," commander said with a stiff smile. He walked away without another work. ===
The sun began to set on the Lilycove bay when Ryuu's Absol, Nephilim came running from the contest hall frantically. "What is it Nephilim?" Ryuu asked. Nephilim growled loudly at the horizon and Ryuu looked up. In the distance ships could be seen heading toward Lilycove. In a matter of seconds they were hovering above the bay.
"!? How does Johto have access to such machines!" Ryuu exclaimed. The ship bore a resemblance to Team Magma's ships...
There were five of them in total. Their bays began to open and Pokemon covered in black armor descended from the sky. "Absol use Hyper Beam!" Ryuu instructed. A beam of yellow and orange aura shot to the nearest ship hitting the right wing. It span out of control into one of the other ships. The two blew up on impact.
On the ground Donphan covered in black armor was using Roll Out on fleeing bystanders. There was a familiar scream of an old woman from the contest hall. Ryuu can off at top speed Nephilim close to his side; Flygon causing havoc to the ships above. Something awful happened at the contest hall and Ryuu was racing to find out what. ...Messenger of Peace

The Fallen Angel... Ryuu can as fast has he could toward the contest hall. He had to dodge raging Donphan as he went. "Midori come on out! Ryuu called as he through his Pokeball into the air. His Cacturne, Midori came out of he Pokemon and took a battle stance. "Handle these Donphan, Midori!" Ryuu instructed as him and Nephilim raced toward the contest hall. She nodded and began to shower Seed Bombs on the rampaging Donphan. It wasn't working. This was going to be harder than she thought...
=== As Ryuu was running toward the contest hall he saw, amidst the chaos, a familiar face standing calmly with two Pokemon at his side. He seemed to be enjoying the chaos...
Ryuu didn't have time to figure what his deal was has he arrived at the double doors of the contest hall. They were destroyed by a powerful attack. Ryuu ran into the hall Nephilim close to his side.
Inside men women and children were tied up over the watchful eye a Venusaur. A tall man with short brown hair was standing in the middle of the lobby smirking. He noticed Ryuu.
"Well, well, little soldier come to be feed for my Venusaur," the man said. "I am fourth in command of my platoon in Johto. Commander Azule!" the man, Commander Azule chanted.
Ryuu said nothing. He looked around the hall at all the hurt people and felt disgusted. He reached for another one of his Pokeballs and tosses it in the air. The yellow and blue Pokemon Manectric came out and let out a proud roar. "You want to fight boy?" Azule asked smirking. "Venusaur! Frenzy Plant!" the man ordered his Pokemon. "T.K. Rai-Oh! Run circles around his Dinosaur Plant!" Ryuu told his Pokemon who immediately began running circles around Venusaur.
He was running to fast a tail wind kicked up the Venusaur began to get dizzy. "Now Manectric! Flamethrower!" Ryuu ordered. Red hot flames came out of T.K. Rai-Oh's mouth and a fire storm was whipped up around Venusaur. It let out and cry and fell to the floor.
"Now it's your turn..." Ryuu said has T.K. Rai-Oh returned to his side. "Not today!" Azule exclaimed as he threw something to the ground. A puff of smoke erupted at his feet. Everyone in the hall began to cough including Ryuu.
When the smoke subsided Azule was gone and his fainted Venusaur was still there. "Coward..." ...Messenger of Peace

The Fallen Angel... Ryuu looked at the boy in disgust. "Get out of my sight. How can you stand idly by as innocent people get hurt?" he told him as Absol and Manectric began to growl. "Do what you want. Just not with me I have other matters to attend to. Useless arrogant punk..." Ryuu said in disgust has he proceeded to untie the people in the hall.
===
Outside Midori had found a way to stop the rampaging Donphan. She hopped on their backs and planted Leech Seeds on all of them. A dozen of them surrounded her about to Roll Out on her. She raised her arms into the air and activated the Leech Seeds at once sapping all of their remaining energy. She sat on one of the fallen Donphan and smiled looked up to the sky at R2 dealing with the ships. ...Messenger of Peace

 ~Masaru Mori~ Location: Vermillion City: Hoento Station; Vermillion Branch With the sun directly above them, Masaru slowly petted his Flygon with the utmost care, just like he did during the flights in Hoenn. This simple action always calmed the green bug-like dragon and helped flying with him much easier.
"I've said it a billion times I know, but thank you for staying with me despite this war," Masaru said, stroking her antennae. She hummed at a low, quiet tone. Masaru smiled slightly. "I guess you're right, you all would never leave me."
~~~
"Masaru! Finally back I see!" a man yelled as Gaia started to land. The beating of her wings as she landed kicked up a small cloud of dust, but the crowd around them were ready for it. As Masaru got down, he pulled out a Nest Ball and pointed it at his beloved dragon pal.
"Return Gaia," Masaru said as the light embraced the Pokemon. In an instant, Gaia vanished into the Nest Ball, safe and sound. "Commander Surge, it is good to see you again," Masaru said as he stood up straight.
However, the reaction he got back was strange. Instead of accepting the stance, Surge copied it right back. "The feeling is mutual Commander."
Masaru cocked his head to his side. He pulled out his Hoento Alliance ID card and read aloud to himself.
Name: Masaru Mori Age: 20 Gender: Male Ranking: Lieutenant "Ex Oriens ut Occasus , Nostrum Vox est Validus"
Surge just laughed it off. "You got promoted you pink-haired goof! What did you expect, being the previous Hoenn League Champion?" Surge placed a hand on his shoulder. "Besides, your abilities have been a true asset in this war. We will make the Sinjoh Alliance crumble, as much as it pains me to do so. But a war is a war."
Masaru looked up at the man and nodded with an expressionless face. Maybe so, but... it's not our war.' Masaru thought to himself as he looked to the Vermillion Gym Leader.
  This is not our war.
The Fallen Angel...  Ryuu finished untying the people of in the hall. He told them all to stay in the hall till it's safe to come out. They all nodded and went into the contest rooms to safety. After he made sure everyone was safe he left the contest hall.
====
Outside Ryuu met Midori sitting on energy drained Donphan. "Good work Midori," Ryuu said her. She nodded and smiled returning her gaze to Flygon. A flash of yellow and orange game from the sky. Flygon had just used Hyper Beam on the last remaining ships. They crashed into the ocean. Flygon flew down to them and curled around Midori who played with his antennas. "You to deserve a rest," Ryuu said returning Midori to her Pokeball. "I need you to do me a favor first R2. I need you fly us to Mossdeep City. Think you can handle it?" he asked his Flygon. R2 brightened up and lifted his head read to go.
Ryuu returned Absol and Manectric to their Pokeballs and ran to the cliffs edge; R2 right beside him. Ryuu jumped off the cliff; Flygon flew under him catching him before he smashed into the rocks below.
Those ships came from Mossdeep... Ryuu thought as him and R2 flew to the east heading to Mossdeep City! ...Messenger of Peace
Be polite. Be efficient. After the attack on Viridian City, I was sure the other cities in Kanto would be attacked. It would be a matter of time before my home town of Fuchsia was attacked. Uncle Koga and Cousin Janine both took parts in the war against Johto. They both asked for my assistance, but I couldn't come up with an answer on the spot. I still hadn't made my decision. Should I help defeat Johto, or should I stay back and watch as people die?
I figured I'd need to get away from Fuchsia. Head over to some other city to get away from all this war nonsense. Problem is, every other city is either ready to go to war like Fuchsia or Vermillion, burnt to the ground like Viridian, or flooded with people trying to bury their loved ones, like Lavender. The only other close place would be Saffron, but that's where the Silph Co and Devon Corporation headquarters are, so it'll be a major attack target.
I decided to head over to Vermillion City. See an old friend of mine who I helped defeat Lt Surge. Clutching a Net Ball, I tossed it into the air and Bill, my wise old Golduck, emerged in a flash of red light.
"Bill, can you Surf me to Vermilion City when we reach Cycling Road?" I asked the blue duck. It nodded its head in approval, and we walked towards Cycling Road. Thankfully I didn't like that far from it.But have a plan to kill everyone you meet.
"OH COME ON!" Donovan shouted as he kicked the vending machine, "I just want a freakin' lemonade is that so wrong!" As he continued to kick the machine hoping that it would either spit back out his money or a drink a random passerby came up.
"Helps if it's plugged in..." the man reached behind the machine and with a clunk out came the lemonade
"Oh hehe..." Donovan chuckled nervously "Thanks a ton." Riding down the elevator and leaving the Goldenrod Department Store he admired the old tram that used to ferry people to and from Kanto, now closed down and boarded up there was no way he could use that to get home.
Walking toward the park Donovan spots some Guards stopping people checking their IDs. "AHH Crap" Donovan thought, "How am I supposed to get past those chuckleheads..." thinking he grasped onto a white Pokeball with an Electric symbol on it, "C'mon out Risk!"
Out of the Premier Ball popped an Ampharos that ran up and hugged Donovan tightly "Ok Ok Risk I love you too, now I need your help." Risk nodded in approval and listened.
"Ok here's the plan, we'll walk up and use Flash to get past them, hopefully that will work" Donovan stated making sure the guards weren't wearing glasses or goggles. "Ok HERE WE GO!"
As Donovan and Risk got into line and waited, an announcement came over the radio. "To all available units! A strange ship has been sited near the western coast of Goldenrod. All personnel report to the western coast at once! That is all."
"Hmm or that works to" Donovan said to Risk slightly puzzled, "OOF!" Almost being knocked down by the guards rushing by Donovan made it threw to The National Park. "Okie dokie, this looks like an alright place to set up camp for the night, lets find somewhere less conspicuous." Returning Risk to his Pokeball Donovan walked off to the outer edge of the park, with any luck he'll be able to sleep tonight instead of running from guards.
Dreams, hope, love...where do they come from....and where to they go? "Hmm, what a rather odd city...i think I shall let it live, for now." "The young man strolled down/through the streets of Knot Island, shopping and doing the various errands he needed for his "trip." His black hair glinted in the sun, like the ice that claimed his life for those hellish years, near what is now Snowpoint City. But before his trip could offically "begin", he had an important errand to run. A dear friend of the world, Professor Oak, was staying in town...not for long. "He spreads the EVIL of truth and love.....not, for, LoOoONnnNnG...heheheheheheheheh...." He approached the door of Professor Oak, knocking curtly, using the noise of the knocking to drown out the sounds of Daikon, his Gengar companion, slipping in through a wall. Patiently, he awaited an answer.
No matter...i shall end it all.
