“Burger Palace? That’ll work.” She noted with a smile. It was strange, the man was probably about twice her age, but he was acting more like a child than she was. Of course, she had always been a little bit more mature that people she knew in many aspects.
As they entered the diner, her face seemed to light up significantly. Well, it was definitely a better place than Sarah was thinking. “Oh cool, okay.” She wasn’t about to turn down an offer for a free meal at any rate, although it was a little odd to her that he would offer. “Thanks.” Hearing his next topic, she nodded. “Same, it’s been a long time.”

With that said and done, they were placed at the counter, where Valeriu saw fit to give his seat a spin - literally.
Just once. It was made to spin, after all, and everything was so clean and covered with chrome, and it would've been a crime to not do so, he reasoned.
"This city is not so bad," he finally decided, after his evaluation of the spinning capacity of his seat, leaning on the counter and thumbing through the extensive menu. "It makes me v'onder about the other cities."

The girl’s smile widened as Vale decided to test his seat, lifting herself up to get to her own seat. Instead of fully spinning in the seat and risking a crash between the two, she slowly rocked it around. After deciding that the seat was fully spin-able, Sarah took the menu in front of her.
“Yeah, it’s not as bad as I thought it would be… Didn’t they say that this was the biggest city, though?”

Valeriu was really only looking through the menu for show. The minute he'd caught wind of the diner, he'd known exactly what he wanted - burger.
Burger, burger, burger. He wanted a freakin' quadruple-deck burger. Did they make those? Well, they did now. Customer was always right, right?
He would have it his way.
He laid the menu back down, looking back over at her bemusedly.
"I v'ouldn't doubt it. I haven't even begun to learn v'here everything is. So many people."
He hoped that would be a boon for them; when they were found out, he didn't want the blacksuits nuking another city. Hopefully, this time, they would turn to other means to eradicate the threat. But nonetheless, he didn't plan on getting attached. To anything, anyplace, or anyone.
"I am going to get a giant burger," he declared, leaning back in his seat decisively. "So big, it clogs my arteries the minute I am finished, I have a heart-attack, and I die happy. You?"

Sarah let out a small sound while she stared at the menu in puzzlement, threatening to burn holes into the laminated paper. She tried to look for something different than a burger, since ordering the same thing seemed so odd to her, but fifties diners have a tendency to carry a very limited array of foods. Feeling a little disappointed at that fact, the cat girl gently folded the menu and set it down. “I’ll just have a cheeseburger and some fries.”
She stifled a laugh when he explained his order. “Well, hopefully they won’t turn the order down!”

"They v'on't," he contended with confident arrogance, completely sure that they would readily accept his order. "All they must do is charge me for two cheeseburgers. So easy! And these chili fries, here, and a vanilla malt, yes."
Although it didn't lessen the hunger, he was pretty sure his body was going to loathe him for a while yet after this.
Tummy-ache was so, so very worth it.
"It v'ould be nice, to have a hamburger shop in Oldpeka," he mused, leaning on his palm and perking up only to, very firmly and clearly, give his order to the bemused waitress.
