Acenath looked at her and laughed.
"We haven't stayed here all our lives, we and a sister went wandering when we reached adolescence to see the world. I brought back a male who I adore very much and is also still learning the ways of the pride. Trust me we know what it's like outside the pride." Acenath spoke gently though she was still rather amused. A princess couldn't be naive.
"We won't tell you about the gods that will come in time with your lessons and we don't want to mess the order of them up." Akinyi spoke this time and Acenath nodded her head in agreement.
"Marriage however is simple. The lion you decide to mate with is the lion you must marry. A small ceremony takes place and then you are mated for life. You can divorce them but it is frowned upon." Majorly frowned upon but Acenath didn't want to scare her.

Feeling a little bad that she had assumed that Acenath was untraveled, Zafran bowed her head to the lioness, a small apology of sorts.
She felt a little disappointed about not being able to hear about the Gods, but figured she'd be hearing about them soon enough in her lessons.
When Acenath got to explaining a little bit about marriage, Zafran brightened up, and cooed. "Marriage sounds so delightful. I never was too keen on that whole mate freely thing. One love is enough for me." She grinned at the pair, and then looked up, in thought.
"Well, I can't think of anything else I would like to know... is there anything else I should know?"

Acenath smiled, she didn't need an apology or anything, why would anyone expect them to have traveled? She was glad the lioness didn't vocalize an apology at least.
"Well if there is anything else you need to know you will learn about it in your lessons I am sure." Acenath smiled as she spoke. Akinyi came to sit beside Acenath and together they leaned on each other.
"There are lots of cubs around, maybe you could go and meet them and their parents? It may help if you wish to look after them at some point." Akinyi spoke this time, wondering whether the lioness would go or not. It didn't bother her either way but she thought it would be a sensible thing to do.

Zafran nodded, a feeling of excitement welled within her. She was going to settle into this pride and have a home. That was definitely something new and exciting.
Glancing up at the sun, the bright lioness nearly gasped,"Well speaking of lessons, I need to get to them! Thank you so much. Both of you. I'm really glad to have met you and been shown around. Thank you again."
She bowed her head down a bit lower, this time in thanks instead of an apology, and then turned towards the temple in a full on run.

Both Acenath and Akinyi nodded to her as she turned and ran off back to her lessons. Ace smiled and nudged Akinyi playfully before they both curled up beside the water. They were both tired from answering questions and the bickering earlier and of course their way of making things up was to fall asleep together. Everything was always fine again once they had woken up.
