As the pokemon came back to the two of them, Jen groaned at a sudden stab in her side. This forced her to slump into a sitting position on the red dirt, which let Don bounce from her uncasted arm and into her lap. Granted...Jen was glad she could walk again and hold things again but...
"Man..." Don nudged her hand, earning a gentle scratching on the head. "Times like this I wish I had called in sick on that raid a few months ago. Now I know what Seth feels like."
At the drenching of undeserving, Aeon bristled and made a rude gesture at Beaker. Self-proclaimed "barbarian" or not, the electric mouse wasn't going to let this turtle boss him around. It was likely he could stand toe-to-toe with the water pokemon, maybe even beat her.
This was turning into the battle of pride and temper.

"You alright? Maybe we should head back." Nyx stood over Jen, concern plastered on her face. The suggestion of going home might not have even been influenced by her not wanting to train.
Beaker puffed herself up to look intimidating. She wasn't scared of the mouse, but, instinctively, she wanted to avoid a fight with an electric type. "Tortle." She growled. If Beaker had evolved one more time, she would just step on the little pikachu.

Jen nodded and sat back a bit on the stone as Don wove in and out of Nyx's ankles, a look of pure worry plastered on his face. "Im fine, Im fine. Just the usual aches and pains." She grinned and tossed her friend a thumbs up before glancing back out at their pokemon. "Just gimme a sec to sit and i'll be as right as rain."
Yamir had taken Langley off to where a pile of stones were stacked up. Grabbing one in each talon, he demenstrated how he used the rocks like weight-lifting.
Aeon, on the otherhand, knew full well of his race-advantage over the water type pokemon. But he was fairly certain the large pokemon could and would out-muscle him. His advantage was speed, not strength...though Jen had been working on that the few times they could slip down to the training gyms.

Nyx nodded and waited with her hands on her hips, waiting for Jen, but not in an impatient manner. It wasn't surprising that she has having a bit of trouble, the injuries she sustained on the raid were substantial.
Langley picked up a large stone in each claw; They were small, much smaller than what Yamir was holding, but for a Pidgey the rocks were fairly large. The little bird imitated the larger's weight-lifting technique.
Beaker sprayed a fountain of water into the air above her and flexed as it rained down and sparkled in the sun. The Wartortle wasn't fast, but she what she lacked in speed, she made up for in defense, constitution, and berserker rage.

"Oh come on, Nyx." Jen playfully flexed her un-injured arm at her partner. "Im gunna heal quick, just you see." As she started a conversation, something stirred near where Aeon and Beaker were bickering towards one another.
BIg green eyes watched the water and electric type bicker at one another from its' hiding spot. Whatever it was, it was nervous. Both of those other pokemon looked strong...and...well...
Fighting was bad, right?
It shuffled a bit in its hiding place, sending a small cloud of dust up the shadowed pokemons' nose. It sniffled and let out a small sneeze before freezing.
Had it been heard?

It had indeed.
Beaker's ear twitched as the tiny sneeze reached her furry ear; She held up her axe-hand, which was void of axe, and started sniffing the air. It didn't come from the same direction as any of her party-mates.
"Tortle..."

Aeon had heard it as well.
"Pika...." His ears twitched as a second sneezed, stifled in an attempt to keep quiet, reached his sensitive ears. He glanced at the "axe hand" with a look before scampering over to where the noise had come from.
Slinking over on his belly, Aeon poked through some of the shadowed patches before spying something flickering. Was that...?!
ACK! "PIKA PIKA PIKA PIKA!" (FIRE FIRE!)
This sent whatever was hiding under there into a panic, as did Aeon's shout to Jen and Yamir. The latter flew over to investigate as did the former, who carefully pushed herself to her feet before walking over.
"Whats up, Aeon?" "PIKACHU PIKA!" Little arms flailed wildly in panic while pointing.

Nyx put her hands on her hips and watched as Beaker and Langley went to investigate whatever the pikachu was shouting about.
The wartortle sent a blast of water shooting towards where Aeon started yelling 'fire'. Fire was no match for her might!

NOT THAT!
With a yelp, the one spying on their little get-together came flying out of hiding and straight at Jen. Tail flame blazing, the little pokemon stood behind the Rockets' legs while eyeing Beaker and Aeon with a great deal fo fear.
"CHAR!"
The odd-colored Charmander stuck its tounge out at its natural enemy, not really registering the fact that he was hiding behind one human and the other was standing nearby.
Jen, on the otherhand, could only stare as she was used as a hiding spot.
Being used as one, especially in Beaker's line of sight? Oh boy...
"Now hold on a sec!"

"Tort tort tort!" Beaker laughed. It was a little fire-lizard! How pathetic, trying to hide. She beckoned it to come out with her axeless-axe-hand.
"Huh... Those are some odd markings." Nyx got the science gleam in her eye.

Now the for-mentioned Charmander was really scared, both of the white turtle and of the odd gleam in the humans' eye. He was about to make an attempt to flee when the human he was hiding behind intervened.
"Now hold on a sec, you two!"
He stopped and looked up; the human was standing infront of both scary people with her arms stretched out. A black and white bird followed by a pale Pikachu had also slipped closer to the human. Oddly enough, they werent scared either...
It looked like they were...backing the human up?
"Cccccchhhhhaaaaaarrrrr...."
The brown-haired human looked back and smiled at him before returning a glare at the two of them.
"Beaker, you should be ashamed of yourself. I dont think warriors pick on those weaker and smaller then they are." The glare was then directed at the white-haired human. "As for you, Nyx. I dont think experimenting on the little guy will discover the source of his markings. Cant you see yer freaking him out?"

"What, it is a thing and I shall do science to it. Besides, I don't see a trainer. You'd never make a good scientist what with getting sentimental over every specimen that crosses your path. Unless you want to catch it, I'm going to take it back to the labs." She wasn't joking. There was no compassion on her face, like when she looked at her own pokemon. This was science, it was cold, metallic, and uncaring.
Beaker crossed her arms. The turtle subscribed to a more Spartanistic view. If you're too weak to be a warrior, you get tossed off the side of a cliff.

Jen frowned at her partner. True, she was not a scientist and never would be.
But to call a pokemon a thing? Thats something she vowed never to do, even as a Team Rocket member. It went against everything drilled into her head from her childhood forward.
"You're NOT taking it back to the labs..." She paused and grabbed an empty pokeball off her belt before dropping it on the startled pokemon. The device bounced to the ground and wiggled a few times but stopped and stilled a short time afterwards.
Jen picked up her new pokemon with a smirk as Aeon and Yamir posed proudly at their trainer. A new comrade for them ment one less pokemon in the hands of the scientists. "Because this charmander is now mine. Thank you very much."

Nyx shrugged and walked away to watch her pidgey fly around. She had only ever had sympathy for one science experiment, the little clone pidgey, but he wasn't really an experiment, he was not made in the name of science. He was supposed to be a legendary. Langley landed on her head and started to preen.
Beaker huffed, turned, and sprayed Nyx and Langley. She was aiming for Nyx, the coward, but the poor Pidgey was a casualty.
"Geee!" Langley flapped wildly, surprised and angered by the sudden attack.

Yamir had noticed the "attack" made by Beaker. As annoyed as he was with Nyx at the moment, he was even more upset that the turtle had attacked his friend.
With an angry squawk, he started towards Beaker before stopped when a familiar but distant sensation traveled through his body.
Around him: Don, Jen and Aeon shielded their eyes from the brilliant flash of white light. It soon faded but left a sight that caused all three to stare in awe.
The light soon faded to reveal Yamir in a new form; a fully-evolved Pidgeot to be exact. He stood proudly with his head held up high, like a Prince infront of his people. He clicked his beak and whiped his head around to glare at Beaker.
