He grinned, "See I figured you would want to take the lead, I mean you are the one who insisted on me going with you, and I figured you had a map as well." Grins a bit as she looks over the map, "I know where to avoid, and how to get there, but as I said, you're the leader not me."

He keeps the mare at a good pace, the ride would take a few days, at least. Even on horse back.

"Just because I have a map, doesn't mean I know how to read one," she replied moving her horse slightly closer to his and handing over the map, "I'd rather follow my noes then trust that stupid piece of paper. Plus you are the thieving expert, and probably have more experience involving eggs then I do, so it'd make more since for you to be the leader not me. You just don't want to accept the responsibility, do you?" She smirked at the albino, her eyes almost seemed to be challenging him into accepting leadership for the job, "If you are the leader and the job goes well, I'm sure you'll become even closer to becoming one of the thief apprenticeship.

Trybit stared at her, then shook his head, "And why would you be willing to help me get where I wanted? Ms. Super Justice doesn't seem like the type who will put up with a thief in her circle of friends, or at all in general for that matter." He took the map and plotted the swiftest course to where they needed to go, "Well since you want me to lead so badly, you better keep up, Little werewolf." With that he smirked and urged his horse forward into a full on gallop.

It might have seemed a bit cocky, but truthfully he was getting through the wilds of his homeland fast enough to avoid the wildlife that tended to enjoy eating those who weren't big enough or well equipped enough to survive. Kami was werewolf, so they weren't as likely to attack her, but he...he was like a rare steak thrown down before starving lions.

"Well, I'm getting something I want too, it's like the egg hunt, I helped you because it benefited me too, and don't call me that again or I'll pull you off that horse." the werewolf replied as he looked at the map, nudging her horse into a gallop when he did, laughing at the fact that he had called her a little werewolf, when he was such a shortie himself. "There's no way I'd fall behind, you little runt!" Kami replied with a happy smirk.

He laughed even more at being called a runt, then urged his horse to go even faster. It wasn't hard to see that he wanted to move fast on this, but it was a little hard for anyone to know why.

He kept his eyes on the horizon watching for nightfall, wanting to hit a town before it got too dark.

She sped up a moment after he did, "You know...If you run them to fast the horses will die of exhaustion." the werewolf told Trybit, sounding slightly nervous, "I mean, I think they're a bit on the stupid side and all but running them to their death seems kinda harsh." She glanced down at the stallion she was ridding, feeling sorry for even suggesting using him as bait earlier, before glancing back at the albino.

Trybit sighed heavily, then spotted the lights of a nearby village, "Look, there's our first stop, since it'll be a couple days." He pointed up ahead, then he heard a howl. That was not good.

"You can linger if you want, but I'm getting to where I'm not likely to be eaten." With that he urged the mare to pick up her pace to a flat out run, a horse could out run a pack most times, depending on how close the pack was to the location of the horse.

He almost felt like he was holding his breath, then he hit the village gates and took a breath again. He was safe now. Looking back he hoped Kami had kept up, or in the least had understood why he'd ridden so fast especially after the howl. He was only human and fear was an exceptional motivator for him. Dropping off the horse his feet felt wobbly, and his hips were sore, as well as other parts of his anatomy. Groaning he looked at the map, it was a small village along the lower mountains. This trip would take quite a bit of time. "Time to find a place to rest for the night." He sighed, knowing his purse was going to be far too light for the return trip.

She nodded as he pointed out the first village they'd be staying in for the night. though she frowned lightly when he mentioned being eaten, after the howl. The stallion sped up on his own when Trybit's horse did and Kami didn't slow him. The werewolf looked in the direction the call had came from, her gaze not leaving the direction until it was time to dismount. "Trybit... Do you think that I wouldn't protect you?" She asked watching the albino with rather a disappointed gaze. His comment had stung. "Do I seem like that kind of person? A person who would abandon another if it would save my own hide?"

He blinked when she asked that and looked so hurt, he looked at her with a puzzled sort of gaze, "I...Well I don't expect anyone to save my skin other than me. You did make jokes about using me because someone you cared for being risked was not on your mind." He scratched his head, "Anytime someone jokes like that, there's a tinge of truth to it. Expandability is why people use thieves for jobs. We're a dime a dozen most of the time, even the skilled ones like me." He shrugged, a rather discomforting ache in his chest with her looking at him that way, "I'm sorry if it hurt your feelings, but the wolves aren't as likely to attack an anikal as they are a human like myself." It was phrased badly, as he wasn't sure why he was so desperate to get that look off her face.

"At any rate, we're here, we need to find a room for the night." He felt awkward again, and tugged on the mares reigns looking for somewhere to tie them up for the night, and maybe a pile of hay to sleep on.

The werewolf shook her head in disbelief, her gaze shifting to the stallion, "So basically you do think that I'm the kind of person to abandon a friend," she replied after he tried to explain. "Why are you even coming with me if you can't trust me? And if you don't trust me, how am I suppose to trust you?"

She pulled lightly on the horse's reins leading him toward the scent of hay and horses, her eyes seemed to now be focused on the ground beneath her feet. "I'm pretty sure there's a stable this way..." Kami told the albino, before silently leading the way to the stable, stopping in front of it.

Trybit stared at the back of her head, completely lost. They were friends? He'd never really had one of those. Sure he'd met people in passing and they'd been friendly, but friends was a little bit of a foreign concept to his poor little mind. He looked at her helplessly and tugged his mare into the stable tying him up and feeling very much like the bad guy. Guilt and depression were not something he liked dealing with. This was his old inability to communicate well coming back to haunt him.

He picked up a bucket and pulled out some water from the trough, then gave a tug and let the saddle hit the ground on the other side of the mare pulling her away from the saddle and getting as little water on it as possible, he dumped the bucket over the mare. He was frustrated, flustered and a bit ticked off. Yanking up the saddle he set it down on the fencing, then finally turned to Kami.

"I'm not saying your that type of person, but when we first met you didn't like me because I was a thief. We only recently met again, and now I'm your friend? I..." The troubled looking albino looked down unable to meet her gaze, "I don't have friends. Sure I've met people, I supposedly have a sister, my mother is always gone on jobs. I don't have anyone to rely on but me..." He was trying to explain, and make things okay again, "I'm not used to having someone to depend on...so...I made an a** out of myself by...not giving you the trust you deserve." He shrugged almost helplessly, "I was actually going on this little shindig to try and impress you but I have thus far failed at that." He looked up finally and smiled a little lopsidedly, "I understand if you don't want to continue on with me, I'm not a good partner." He then reached out and took te reigns of the stallion from her and tugged him inside, Repeating the same process with him that he'd done with the mare. He was hoping it was enough to make her feel less left out of the loop...if not he'd just drop everything leave her the horses and head back to the capitol. He was figuring out he liked her, but he was fairly sure he was only her friend.

Kami watched as he took care of the mare, and listened to what he said without any real sign of emotion, and when the abino finished talking and took the stallion so he could take off the saddle and rub the creature down she followed him. When he finished taking care of the horse, she wrapped her arms around his neck and rested her head lightly on the boy's shoulder. "I've never not liked you, stupid thief," she told him quietly. "And you have a friend, no matter what you think. In fact I almost want to say I..." she trailed off then stopped hugging him, taking his hand and heading away from stables.

"Though saying you only came because you were trying to impress me is kind of stupid, you would have come anyway, for one reason or another." she paused turning to look at him. "I want you to come with me still, just trust me, okay?"

He blinked as he was wrapped in a hug. His nose picked up little nuances of her scent, the fur, and something that made his brain want to flat-line. He could feel this awkward sort of warmth rushing through him from where her body rested against his, she was awfully warm, and her fur was surprisingly soft for as course as it looked. He felt heat rising in his cheeks and knew he was blushing. Trybit didn't know what to do with his hands, and stayed rather still instead of wrapping around her, he could feel his heart beating hard and fast.

Then when she slid away having trailed off her last sentence, he could feel the tingling in his shoulders still. She liked him as a friend, that was good. But what was the last part of that sentence? Before he could get the words out she took his hand and sent another wave of warmth up his arm, his brain screeching to a halt as his whole mind was wrapped around the warmth of her hand in his. He couldn't trust himself to speak and merely nodded, his face blushing up a storm, causing his skin to seem even paler, his hair falling over his eyes slightly.

The werewolf let out a laugh at his blush, "Your face is the same color as your eyes," she told him as she used the hand that wasn't holding his to brush the hair away from his eyes. She wondered slightly if he'd get anymore embarrassed if steam would come out his ears, or something like that. She decided to find out, leaning over and giving Trybit a light kiss on the cheek, she pulled away a second later. She kept her hold on hand as she walked down the road looking for a inn, feeling sure that if she let go of the human's hand he wouldn't follow.

Kami found one and pulled him inside, letting go of his hand to rent a room, she paid quickly and headed to the room looking over her shoulder so she could make sure Trybit was still with her.

He sighed as she made fun of his blushing, and tried to look away though she brushed his hair out of the way. Kami was starting to get really....frustrating, then she did the unthinkable. She kissed his cheek. Never in his life had someone done that. His mother aimed for his forehead, this was the first time someone...female had managed to land a kiss on him anywhere. He was dumbly dragged along unable to speak.

When she let him go, his eyes darted around, and he tried desperately not to fidget. He was...a much brighter shade of red than he had previously been, not matching his eyes at all anymore.

He nervously looked up at her as she was heading to their room. Trybit blinked, one room. He hoped silently that there were enough blankets that he wouldn't die of cold sleeping on the floor.
