Ever sat there for a moment, considering what Ares had said. She was... She was bragging about him in an attempt to get his old attitude back! Gods, she had played right into his hands!

She groaned and flopped backward over the rock, her flexible spine bending easily and allowing her to curve over the back of the rock. Her legs were draped over one said and her head and hair were dangling over the other.

"Well dammit all... You'd think that after such a discovery Aurora and I made today, I'd be more on the ball right now than what I am."

Ever made a scoffing sound and curled herself back up into a sitting position. She looked incredulously at Ares.

"Are you kidding me, Ares?! I tried to tell you before what was going on, but you were too busy. You snooze, you lose. You should know that better than anyone. In a time of war, you need to be on top of everything or you will miss out."

She smirked sarcastically. "Well maybe I wouldn't have to lecture you if you were doing your job right."

She sighed and got off of the rock. She stayed where she was, but she looked down at Ares and arched an eyebrow at him.

"Perhaps, if you're so busy, I should simply tell you what Aurora and I find when we are completely done with our research. Maybe you should leave the hunting for the Relic to us. I..."

She sighed and knelt down in the grass beside his head. Yeah, she could switch emotions like a light flipped on and off, but she really was concerned about all that Ares was trying to juggle at once. She knew after speaking with him and his dead love that he was going through a lot emotionally, and a war on top of that was enough to break anyone, even cause a handicap for the God of War.

She reached forward slowly with one of her hands and ran it through his wavy black hair, the hair that she loved.

"I think that perhaps you should simply focus on one thing at a time and let Aurora and I handle the research on the Relic."

Ever looked completely confused at what Ares said. "Wait... Math may not be my best subject, but I know how to count to three, and Athena and I being scouts only covers two Relics, not three. How do we have three relics covered? Are there two at one school?"

She continued to run her hand through Ares' hair.

Ever's eyes widened and she couldn't help but laugh at Ares' choice of words. "Whoopsie? Did you just say 'whoopsie'? Oh Ares, that is so completely adorable. And you're stationed at Unwelcome Bolder? Well, you're further away when you're on Mount Olympus and that's never stopped us from 'hanging out' before. Does that mean you're a professor there? Hmm... a professor. I bet that's pretty cool to watch."

The idea of possibly dating Ares in the future while he was a professor sent a warm sensation through her. She liked that idea very much. She also was still smiling at him using the word 'whoopsie'. The God of War. Oh if only his followers could hear him now.

She wasn't really thinking as she leaned down over Ares and then softly and slowly pressed her lips against Ares'.

When Ever didn't feel Ares responding, she pulled back from his lips and straightened back up in her kneeling position. She sighed and looked up in front of her at the view of the mountains.

"Sorry about that."

Amy changed her position from a kneeling one to a seated one... quite a distance from Ares. She was still looking out toward the mountains.

"Aurora and I think there is a weeping willow down at the bottom of the lake defending something. What else could it be other than the Relic?"

Her voice didn't sound nearly as excited as it had when she and Aurora had finally put the puzzle pieces together.

"Aurora's a shape-shifter and can turn into a fish or something to swim down there. I won't drown since I'm immortal, though I'm not looking forward the uncomfortable sensation of holding my breath for so long. I'm sure you know what that feels like."
